I went directly to Aana's room. There is a volcano erupting inside me and I know only her presence can cool me off. I directly went to her and found her talking to our baby boy, telling him to take care of our baby girl but what about her? Thankfully, I found her otherwise she would have sacrificed her life for our pups without thinking of herself. The thought that I wouldn't have found her and lost her forever was enough to tremble my soul.

"And what about you Aana?" I asked her. She looked at my side and her smile vanished seeing my distressed face.

"Is everything fine?" she asked instead of replying. I didn't reply to her. What would I say no, I'm not okay. How can I be okay when she is standing near death because she is carrying my pup? I sat beside her and that's when my eyes went to her arms, which had my mark. I cursed myself as I held her tightly.

"I'm sorry" I mumbled and stood up to bring the ointment which I used to apply before when I accidentally held her arms a little tighter and she got the marks. I came back only to find her looking at me shockingly as two horns popped up off my head.

"You still carry it with you?" she asked me and that's when I realised why she was giving me that look. I didn't reply and sat beside her before applying the ointment.

"No matter where you go and how far you're from me but for me, you're always around me… In my imaginations and thoughts," I answered and went to wash his hands. I could feel her eyes on me all the time and don't know why her stares still affect me. I love the way she looks at me without blinking her eyes, forgetting the world around us.

"What happened? Why are you staring at me like that?" I asked and started arranging her medicines according to her schedule on the side table, so that there will be no mistakes in giving her medicines.

"Sometimes you become a mystery to me, Aaron" I look at her abruptly, not expecting to hear something like this.

"Since when?" I asked, not able to hide how her words affect me.

"The moment when you started trying to hate me and failed miserably because your heart loves me unconditionally." she chuckled and an unwanted tear fell from her eyes. My heart twitches seeing her like this.

"I don't know what is happening to me... These tears fall from my eyes without my permission" she laughed trying her best not to cry in front of him. I kept looking at her, not able to understand what to say. Her tears, her words, her eyes, her every action tells me how much she loved me but then why she cheated on me. I'm still not able to believe what I saw on that day but she didn't explain to me anything and chose the path to run away from me which is enough for me to know what I saw was true.

"I know you're with me only for our pups and that's fine," she muttered when I wiped her tears.

"Don't overthink and sleep. it will be good for you and baby if you take bed rest as much as possible" I muttered trying my best not to show my inner turmoil in front of her. I don't want to stress her out.

"Kathie, give you some good news," she snarled. I squeezed my eyebrow not getting what she meant.

"Yeah… You want our pups to all by yourselves and you will get it as there is a high chance that I will d" Before she could complete, I growled making her flinch.

"Dare you to speak nonsense and nothing will happen to you... Nothing" I yelled at her. The thought that something will happen to her was enough for me to lose all control over myself and my emotions.

"Aaron"

"I said nothing will happen to you. '' I repeat the same thing again and again like I wanted to make myself believe that everything is fine. For the first time in my life, I was getting scared... Scare to lose her.

"Aaron, I'm fine... please calm down" she muttered and pressed my head with her chest while moving her hand in my hair to calm me and thankfully it soothes me. Maybe that's the reason why I called her my peace because she separated me from the world and took me to a place where there is only happiness and peace.

"Nothing will happen to you... I will find the solution and do whatever it takes to save you" I said with determination. Yes,… I will not let anything happen to her no matter what happens.

"Okay… Nothing will happen to me but please calm down... Please" she mumbled.

"Promise. You will not leave me like you did two months ago" I said in a cracked voice. Only I know how I lived in the past two months. I was dying every second without her.

"Aaron"

"Promise me" I yelled.

"Aah," she broke the hug and touched her stomach.

"Aana" He called her but she didn't reply because of pain.

"Arghh... Aaron"

"What happened?" I was not able to understand anything.

"I don't know... I'm feeling immense pain… Aah," she screamed in pain and lay down on the bed feeling miserable pain. tears started streaming down her eyes. The thought that something will happen to her was enough to scare my soul. Tears rolled from my eyes.

"Aaron… I love you" she muttered before closing my eyes. I moved closer to her and pulled her into my arms.

"Aana… Please open your eyes, Aana" I screamed but she didn't respond like she couldn't listen to me and that's when I saw the moment our pups were on her stomach which was enough for me to realise what was happening. Our pups wanted to come out too before the time and I know it's nothing but bad news for Aana's health.

"You can't do this to me… You can't.. First, you snatch my parents and now you're snatching my mate away from me. Please don't do this to me. Please" I yelled looking above, complaining to the moon goddess who never leaves a chance to hurt me and snatch everything away from me. Tears fall from my eyes seeing my mate who is unconscious and at the corner of death.
