Chapter 178: Chapter 178

The wedding was a lavish affair. Everyone who was anyone was present at the wedding.

Nancy had wanted a quiet wedding but to Jason, it was a proclamation that everyone should keep off because he had married someone who was gated to him. He wanted the world to know that Nancy was his, together with the baby in her womb.

Rebecca could not be present at the wedding for obvious reasons but it was aired and she saw the footage on TV. She felt like crying. She had numerous men friends who gave her what she wanted and she never lacked for company or attention but she knew that she could never get anyone who could love her as foolishly and whole heartedly, the way Jason had. She remembered Terry for whom she had left Jason in the first place and was bitter because that relationship had not lasted and Terry had not wasted any time in getting married to another barrister like himself. A young beautiful girl.

She had hoped that Jason might be pining for her and that was why he had not got married, but now she realised that he had been waiting for the right person so that he would not make the same mistake twice.

'What is it love?' said Tom, her male companion for the weekend. He had come in and seen her wiping years from her eyes.

He placed the drinks down with the tray on the table and drew her close.

'I know he was your ex. Are you regretting divorcing him? Would you rather you were the one he was marrying?'

Rebecca knew that she had to be careful. Men could take offense at the slightest slight. She did not want to lose another now that she had finally lost Jason.

'I am happy for them. He had been lonely since I left him and I knew that I was not the right person for him because I didn't love him but seeing them, I can feel the love they each have for the other and I am shedding teats of joy for them', she said smiling through her tears at the couple on TV.

Tom looked at the couple and had to agree that they looked like they wanted to eat each other up and he smiled as well.

'They look like they cannot wait till it is over to tear each other apart. Maybe we should do same after all, nothing is stopping us, is there?'

Rebecca smiled through her tears unhappily. She was not growing any you get a d none of the men she was consorting with seemed ready to marry her and she felt that it would not be a bad idea to have a baby or two of hers but she did not want them to be illegitimate because most of the men who consort with her were married men with children. She felt that she had made a mess of her life.

All they wanted was her body and the financial reward they gave her for it was dwindling. She needed more to keep looking young. Cosmetic surgeries were now very expensive and she needed to go for a face lift.

She decided that the few unmarried men who still came to her would have to make up their minds if they wanted to marry her or not.

She was not going to make it look like she was forcing them but she would start throwing hi TS and anyone who proposed first would be burdened with her. She did not really care what happened later, she just wanted to see if she could get a child or two and if the man got tired,no problem provided he would settle her with a huge alimony and take full responsibility for the children's up keep.

She allowed Tom to draw her into the bedroom where he proceeded to undress her and soon they were both thrashing wildly on the bed, moaning and groaning with pleasure. Her sadness over losing Jason forgotten temporarily.

While Rebecca and her lover were busy pleasuring each other in bed, the wedding kept going on and later, without waiting, Jason and Nancy got into the car that was waiting to take them to London to the famous Honey Moon hotel.

They were going to stay there for a out two weeks.

Jason had called his manager aside and told him everything to do in his absence. He trusted Myles Jackson, his manager implicitly. He had not failed him before and Jason had never stopped showing him how much he appreciated his hard work, honesty and diligence.

During their honey moon, Jason made sure that there was never a dull moment for Nancy.

They went riding. Of course at a trout be ause of her pregnancy or Jason would place her in front while he rode gently behind her holding her waist to keep her safe.

In the evenings, the relaxed at the riverside, telling stories of their childhood, throwing stones into the water. Kissing and loving each other.

Nancy was careful though of the kind of food she ate so that she wouldn't become queasy or have any stomach upset.

That did not reduce the vigour of their lovemaking. When Jason wanted to take it easy, Nancy would set a tempo that Jason would have no choice but to follow.

They went shopping. They shopped for everything under the earth. They shopped for baby's clothes, her clothes, she bought some very beautiful things for Mrs. Potts, for Anna at the office, for Alfred, for Sally and her children and Chris.

She shopped for her parents who had graced her wedding and given her away to Jason at the service. She bought some surprise gifts for Jason as well which she planned to give him when they got back.

While on the honey moon, Nancy totally forgot about the threat to her and her baby. She felt safe being with Jason, safe being his wife and being far from the area of the threat.

But that was not a sensible thing to do because while they went around flaunting their love for each other and arousing envy in the hearts of other honeymooners, someone was busy watching them and taking pictures. The person had followed them to London. It was surprising how he got his information.

Rodney had nearly had a cardiac arrest when he heard that Jason had hot married to Nancy and that the occasion had been a lavish - well attended affair.

He had then asked a private investigator who was actually one of the men who was under his pay to follow them and report back to him anything he could dig up or find out about them.
