Chapter 101: Chapter 101
Jason felt that if he could not bear her touch, then how was he going to be able to spend the night with her?
Maybe if he had taken some other lady, the case would have been different.
'Where do you stay exactly?' he asked with the intention of taking her there and being on his way home.
'You would rather we stayed at my place?' she asked.
'Is there a problem?'
'No. Not at all. Anywhere is paradise provided I am there with you'.
Jason could not help but burst into laughter.
'What is so funny?'
'You. I was married to you and you never appreciated me but now you claim that even hell would be paradise if I were there with you? And you do not find it funny? Especially now that ironically, I do not wish to be with you'.
'And why is that? Am I no longer beautiful?'
'I am surprised that you should ask. It is because I do not want you! How do you suppose I'd want to be with someone who hurt me badly. Someone who betrayed me without a second thought?'
'That is all in the past. I am a changed person now. Let us forget about the past and face the future'.
'Can we really?'
'Yes we can. Else what are we doing here?'
'I just gave you a lift back home from a party we both attended. Nothing else.
They were now in front of the Rebecca's hotel.
'Why are you doing this? Is it because of that little thing that you were chasing all through the night that seemed not to want to give you the time of day?
You would rather continue chasing after someone who obviously doesn't want you?'
'Rebecca, it is over between us. It ended the very day, you eloped with Terry.
Are you so daft that you didn't understand what happened in the car earlier? I forced myself to feel desire for you but it just didn't happen. You no longer attract me Rebecca. Infact, my feelings are not even of dislike or hatred. I feel indifferent towards you now and that is how it will always be!'
'The more you resist me and push me away, the more attracted to you I become and I can assure you that I shall not back down easily. I will bother you until your indifference turn to desire and then to live'.
'Keep dreaming Rebecca. Soon I shall get married and you shall see that you had been dreaming all these while'.
'If I can't get you before you get married, then I shall definitely get you after marriage. Just bear in mind that I shall not give up so easily'.She said and got out of the car and ran into the hotel and upstairs to her suite.
He was still angry.
He called one of his lady friends to come to his house. He was going to make her as jealous as she had made him.
He went home and found himself face to face with Nancy. She was in the mansion, speaking with Mrs. Potts.
He was surprised to see her there
He had assumed that she would be somewhere private making love with Alfred or maybe they were already through.
He knew that if he had been the one with Nancy, he would have taken his time to explore every inch of her body, familiarizing himself with her body and allowing her do the same to him.
She would have begged him to be taken by her
His thoughts must have shown in his eyes for Nancy blushed and Jason had to look away.
It was not his business what she did and with whom.
'You are home so soon, did you not like being with Alfred anymore? Was he a disappointment?'
Nancy went red with fury.
What was Jason insinuating? Was he probably drunk and not in his senses? What had he supposed? That she had gone off with Alfred in a romantic tryst? How low did this man really think of her? Well, it was not his fault. She held herself responsible for that. If she had not shown him how much she wanted him, then maybe he would have had a little respect for her.
She turned to leave but Jason pulled her back and dragged her into the house, out of earshot of Mrs. Potts.
'Jason please leave me alone. I have had enough insults for one night'.
'Have you really?', he asked. I don't think so! You show me that you want me badly and at the same time, you enjoy being with another person just as much? Have you really lost all control then? It was not enough that you had to kiss Alfred passionately at a party I threw but you went off with him? You must have had a great time with him but I am surprised to see you back home so quick. He must have been impatient to finish up with you so that he could go and be with someone else!' he said speaking through his hurt and wanting to hurt her just as much.
Nancy had wanted to keep quiet so that he could assume what ever he wanted to but she got so angry at his words and insinuations that she spoke back.
'Well, so I had a great time with him, what has that got to do with you? I am not your property and remember that I once told you that I did not want to be the play thing of any rich man and especially not you!'
'Is that so? Then what are you doing with Alfred? He is from a wealthy home. So you are in fact a dog. Licking her vomit. You are being exactly what you said you would never be. A play thing for Alfred'.
Nancy was blind with fury. The things she wanted to say we're not coming out the way she wanted them or were not having the desired effect.
She looked around for something to hit Jason with and in his fury and jealousy, he didn't realise her intent .
