After she got out of the gate towards her taxi, she felt the same tingling sensation as though someone was following her yet she could not see anyone. All these made her feel like she was just paranoid because of how tired she had been. It was already in the afternoon by the time she arrived at her workplace. Everything had been going on okay in the office and she could finally start taking breathers. Her daughter was also improving fast in the hospital and very soon she could be released. Even though she knew that she could not postpone telling Omar about his child, she still felt conflicted about the matter.

The only thing she could do was concentrate on her work. The money she had gotten from Omar had gone a long way in boosting her business and she now had several things to herself. She had even opened a warehouse in a different location where her wares of work would be stored.

Lucas had followed Lisa down right to her workplace and had sat down inconspicuously while sipping some coffee. He was the predator while she was the prey and very soon, he would have her in the palm of his hands. He just knew it. After staying there for a while without anything happening, he finally saw a lady get into the office and it was like he was stuck right on the ground. She was so beautiful he could not help doing a double take.

Watching her endless legs encased in sexy white sandals with the strings tied around her calves. Then was her colorful dress that stopped just above her knees, and then there was the back. The dress was fucking backless. Shit. He felt his mind going numb. His mind was racing and turning in waves and waves. He wanted her and she would be his. She had the genes to be his. He could then teach her how he liked to be pleasured. He almost forgot to keep observing the place when she finally disappeared behind the doors.

Lisa sauntered inside the place while flipping her hair dramatically. For the first time, she had taken the effort to dress for someone, and if tony did not react how she wanted she would certainly feel low. However, she was not disappointed as from the moment she stepped in, Tony’s half-raised head had raised and stayed there, his lips open and his eyes roving over her. it seemed he liked what he saw, and it wasn’t until she made some noise near him did, he realize that she had already arrived there.

Struggling to move his attention from her, his ear tips turned red. Goodness, the guy could not even hide it when he liked someone.

‘Hey handsome, how’s you.’

‘Oh, he... hey Lexi.’

‘Okaaay,’

‘Oh, I’m good thanks what of you.’ He said as he took her proffered hand.

‘I’m also good thanks. What’s with you and your concentration today, you did not even realize I was here.’

‘Huh! I saw you when you came in.’, he said a little bit defensively. ‘It’s just that you were dressed a bit differently.’

‘Oh really?’

‘Yeah.’

‘Is it good different or bad different?’ She asked as she twirled her finger around her hair.

‘Hmm, I guess good different.’

‘I like that, why do you say good different.’

‘Well, because you look Ravi…, I mean you look good.’

‘Ha-ha thank tony for the compliment.’ Winking at him, she stepped towards Lisa’s office. ‘Oh, and thanks for gawking at me.’ She said as she nearly fled into Lisa’s office. Walking in, she stood against the door while taking deep breaths to calm herself. She may have looked confident but she had been a nervous wreck. This was all new to her and having to go after a man, was way out of her comfort zone.

When she finally lifted her head, it was to find Lisa whistling.

‘Damn girl, you really do clean up nicely, even I am nearly turning gay at your look. Goodness.’

‘Oh really, should I twirl for you.’

‘Ha-ha no thank you, now I even feel pity for Anthony, goodness how will he survive such an onslaught.’

‘That is his own business to deal with. Besides, you won’t believe he stared at me right from the moment I stepped into the shop until I had to make him stop dreaming. I swear the guy had this dreamy look and his ears turned red after I talked to him. He even said I looked ravishing, well sort of said I assume,’ Lexi said as she started talking so fast while walking across the office it was strange, she did not trip over anything.

‘Lexi, would you please sit, you are making my head move in circles. And I’m about to go as crazy as you. And what do you mean by he sort of said you looked ravishing.’

A nervous laugh escaped, ‘well he did start to say Ravi... and I concluded he meant that because he stopped halfway and used a different word. It must mean he likes me right.’

‘Oh, come on Lexi, why are you so wire bound about him in any case? It’s not like he’s the only man on earth.’

‘He’s the only one I want.’

“Lisa…’’

‘Okay. I’m guessing I’m just being paranoid. So, by the way, when are you going to show me where you work nowadays? I still do not understand why you even moved out. Will you take Marya to stay with you after she gets out of the hospital?’

At the mention of that, some of the cheer in her eyes disappeared. To be honest, she had never really given a good thought to what would happen when it was finally time to go home with Marya. Seeing as she has not even told him about the baby and the other people did not even know that she was staying with him, she bit her lips. Flippantly changing the topic, she made an effort to stand.

‘Now that you said it, it really is time I went to see my baby. Do you want to go together?’

‘Of course, I miss my baby Marya, I have to go see her.’

‘Ha-ha okay, let’s go. I assume you came with your car.’

Then you have assumed right. Let’s get going before I change my mind and decide to pester tony all day long. After they got in the car, Lucas stood from his position in the café. The beautiful lady had gotten into her car together with Lisa. Why would they be together, he thought as he moved to stop a cab. Following them out of the place, he tailed them until they came to a stop outside the hospital.

Outside, they went up the stairs to her room number as she had already been moved from the ICU and was slowly recuperating in her own room, again the advantage of money. When they got there, Lisa could still feel her heart beating crazily, and the feeling of being followed still intensified. She did not know what had happened but it kept feeling like there was someone on her tail, she just didn’t know it.
