Chapter 53: Chapter 53

"Drake!!" She said.

Shocked with what I heard, I blinked my eyes staring at the woman I love.

"Drake!!!" She said again as she looked at me with warm eyes staring at me.

"My God, you did remember!" I said as another tear slipped down my face.

"You're crying!" She said softly as she tried to wipe my tears with her hands.

I smiled happily, didn't care if the tears came down freely.

"Amanda you made it!" I said as I kissed her hands.

She smiled and made to sit but she gripped her chest as she winced in pain.

"Careful! You can't sit now, you have broken ribs," I said as I Said gently on the bed.

"Broken ribs!!" She said surprisingly.

"Don't worry about it, you will be healed in no time," I assured and comforted her.

The doctors and nurses came running in and I smiled at Amanda.

"She's awake finally!" They said happily as they went over to her.

I was about to leave when Amanda's grip tightened on my hand and I turned back to look at her.

"Please don't leave me!" She said scaredly as she stared at the doctors.

" I won't but you need to be attended to, everything will be okay," I said bending low to kiss her forehead.

She nodded and I left the room.

You don't know how excited and happy I am.

I felt like shouting on top of the world.

Amanda remembered me and she will also remember the rest too.

Her calling my name made me so fucking calm that everything will be alright, the pain will be gone so soon.

I was so scared when the doctor said she might lose her brain and that alone gave me heartaches.

God answered my prayer and I was damn happy about it.

Within 30 minutes, the doctors and nurses left her room and I followed the previous doctor that told me about her health.

"How's she doing?" I asked curiously.

"She's fine and she's lucky that her memory was intact." He said.

"Yes, She is," I grinned, I would go nuts if she doesn't remember a dime.

"When will she be healed completely?" I asked anxiously.

" In a month," He said and I nodded.

I have lots of plans to make for her, well probably of us.

I'm marrying her and no one is putting a stop to that.

I went back into her room, thank goodness she's still awake.

"Amanda!" I called as I went closer to her.

She turned her head slightly towards me and smiled.

Her smile melted my heart alone and warmed me.

"I'm so sorry this happened to you," I said as I held her hands gently and sat close to her.

" Where's Angela?" She asked.

"I told her to leave," I said beginning to boil with rage when Amanda mentioned her name.

"She didn't do it on purpose, she was hurt," Amanda said as tears glistened in her eyes.

"Don't blame yourself, Amanda, she's fucking at fault. You could've been dead, she nearly killed you."I clenched my jaws tightly.

Amanda just looked at me blankly without saying anything.

" She told me everything that happened, she was the one who brought you to the hospital immediately and informed me about it." I sighed.

" She did," Amanda said amusingly.

" I told you to stay away from her in the start, I didn't want you near her but you didn't listen to me," I said heartbroken.

" Were you scared?" She asked as she stared at me.

I looked into her eyes and shut them immediately.

"Yes, I was Amanda. When I heard you had an accident I went crazy, it felt as if my whole world came crashing right in front of me,"

"I thought I would lose you completely when I saw you at first on the bed. It was so terrific Amanda. I had to force the doctors to let me stay with you here day and night so I could watch over you," I said as I brushed my hair to the back and opened my eyes lightly.

Amanda was in tears as she sobbed, her gasp choking me.

"No don't cry, you are fine now," I said with a smile on my face as I moved closer to her and wiped the tears off her face holding her hands tighter.

"I don't want to lose you!" She sobbed.

"Me neither," I said as I kissed her both hands.

" Kiss me!" She whispered lightly.

Without wasting time my lips crashed on hers as my lips massaged gently on hers savoring every single moment of her.

I tried my best not to let my weight rest on her as I sucked on her bottom lip. She let me had my way as my tongue collided with hers and they harmonized.

Our lips fit perfectly well as they were meant for each other, she moaned and I broke the kiss immediately leaving both of us breathless.

"I missed you!" I said as I stared at her swollen lips.

"Me too," She said wearily.

"Annie and your parents came by," I told her as I took my position back to the seat.

" Really! They would have cried their eyes out especially Annie," She chuckled and I looked at her amusingly.

" What?" She asked.

"Cause you don't know how Annie would have crashed down this whole hospital when she heard about your accident and nearly killed Angela when she laid eyes on her," I said amusingly looking at her.

" Poor Annie! She would be so bad right now." She said concernedly.

"They are at my house, She's a bit better when she came earlier to check on you," I informed.

" They're at your place right now," Amanda said surprisingly.

" Yes, they are," I said.

"Thank you for taking care of them and me, I appreciate it so much," She thanked me as a smile crept on her lips.

" It's late now, you should sleep a bit," I told her.

"I don't want to, I want to talk to you more," She pouted.

Despite what she was going through, she looked strong and pulled through.

I smiled and we talked more, she didn't even bother asking about her health issues and I was happy she was doing great.

She slept after an hour time of both of us talking.

Kissing her forehead, I stood up and went out of her room

I have to inform her parents and friend that she's okay now.

I brought out my iPhone and dialed Annie's number.

She picked after the second call.

"Hey," She said her voice a bit dry and low.

" Hey! Amanda's is awake and she did remember everything," I shared the news happily.

"Reeeaaalllyyyy!!!" She screamed into the phone, her voice which was a bit low earlier sounded fully with excitement and energy that I had to move my phone away from my ear cause of her loudness.
