Chapter 54: Chapter 54

It was sunrise as the rays crept gently into my eyes.

"Good morning sir," A female nurse greeted making me open my eyes completely.

I noticed I rested my head on Amanda's bed and still held her hands.

I looked at her and she was still asleep.

I smiled and kissed her hands.

I looked back at the nurse and flashed her smile making her blush.

I stood up to leave so that Amanda would be taken care of.

"Good morning Drake!" Amanda greeted grabbing my hands as she flashed me a bright smile.

"Good morning Princess," I said warmly bending over her to kiss her on the lips.

"Hope you slept well?" I asked brushing her hair off her face.

"Yes, I did." She answered and I smiled at her.

"I need to attend to her," The nurse said reminding us of her presence.

We both stared at her and I nodded.

"Okay, I will back soon," I said and Amanda pouted at me looking so cute.

I got out of the room and went to the bathroom to wash my face.

After staring at myself in the mirror for some minutes I received a call from my mum.

"Hey, sweetie! How's Amanda?" She asked.

"She wakes up yesterday and doing perfectly well," I informed as she made a sound of relief.

"Thank goodness, I was worried sick about her issues," She said and I smiled.

"She's a whole better now, we will have to wait for some weeks for her to get finally healed from her injuries," I told her.

"That's good, tell her I would come to visit him,  n again your father sends his regards," She giggled.

"Thanks, mum," I appreciated.

"Wait one more thing," She said stopping me from hanging the call.

"What mother?" I asked as I tapped on the sink.

"Do you have plans for her, I mean with your Assistant?" My mum asked.

"Yes, I do," I confided in her.

"Tell me about, please tell me you are getting married to her," My mother whined.

" Yes, I'm getting married to her, have made up my mind about it," I said proudly.

" OMG!! that's great news!" She said happily.

"Have you told her about it?" She asked.

" No mum, I was about to make my plans known to her this last week not until she ended up in an accident." I sighed pressing my palm on my forehead.

" It's okay darling, Just let her know about it immediately she's fine and okay," She advised.

" Yes mum," I smiled, her approval of my plans made me happier.

"I can't wait to have grandkids!" She exclaimed and giggled loudly making me laugh.

"You will get that soon mum," I said with a smirk.

"Oh my!!! You two had sex before," She said surprisingly.

"Mumm!! Stop being so nosy," I said sarcastically.

"You better be dead if I get you," She growled making me chuckle.

"I won't," I smirked.

"Take care of yourself darling and our wife to be," She said and ended the call.

I looked at myself in the mirror again and this time I was grinning at myself.

I stepped out of the restroom and was heading straight to Amanda's room when I heard laughter and talks coming out of her room.

Her families were here along with Annie and Max.

Annie was hugging Amanda and there were tears in both of their eyes.

"I'm so happy you finally woke up," Annie smiled and sniffed.

"I missed you," Amanda said both of them being so emotional.

"Please don't ever let this happen to you again," She sobbed.

"It's okay, I'm fine now," Amanda assured her brushing her hair backward.

Amanda's parents smiled at them.

Amanda's mum moved closer to her as she held her daughter's hands and kissed them.

"Mum!" Amanda muttered with a bright smile.

"I'm happy you're strong Ammy," Her mother said smiling brightly at her.

"Thanks, mum!" Amanda said as she gave her mum a light hug while her dad gave her a peck.

They looked so lovely being together and I wanted the same happiness to be there when we finally are together.

She glanced at me and I winked at her making her blush and smile.

Max gave a pretty large bunch of flowers to Amanda.

She collected it happily and smiled.

"Thanks, Max,' She grinned at him placing the flowers by her side.

Amanda motioned for me to come closer and I smiled.

I went close to her and held her hands.

"So cute!" Annie pouted making everyone talk.

Max ordered food and everyone ate including Amanda, she seems so happy being with the people she loved.

We all talked and laughed, it was a relieving moment for us.

Weeks went by and Amanda's health improved miraculously and I was able to go back to work.

I rewarded Mrs. Wood bountifully, she had been so supportive and helpful in putting the company in place.

Everything seems normal at it is only that I can't wait for Amanda to come home.
