Chapter 249: Chapter 249

Chapter 251 Is Fortunate

As soon as he heard the name of Rosalyn, Alex was surprised and asked. "Has she returned home? How did you two know each other?"

Elly didn't hide it and said with a giggle. "Meeting Rosalyn is accidental, it turns out that she wants to cooperate with my design studio. We'll have dinner tonight."

She turned her head, poked him in the chest, and gave her guess. "I think the reason why she chose my design studio is that she depended on my work portfolio. This proves that the harder I have to work, the stronger the design studio will become."

Alex was surprised to find that they had an appointment for dinner, which is why he went back to the restaurant with his father and son. He scratched her nose and flatter her in a calm tone. "Hearing your voice is very close, isn't it the first time we meet?"

"She told me about you that you have been friends for three years. I'm a little envious." Elly was full of dissatisfaction and said on purpose. "I heard that you are close friends. Now that she lives in Alberta, you can't wait to meet her, can't you?"

Alex held her waist and gently pushed him to change their positions. He pressed his hard body on her warm tender body and kissed her forehead. He bit the tip of her nose, pushed his tongue to her lips, and tenaciously pressed her deep for a long kiss.

At the moment their lips separated, Elly's eyes looked at him vaguely, and there was a low laugh that resonated in her ear. "Are you jealous?"

She regained her focus in the blink of an eye, and Elly avoided answering his questions.

"Why have I never heard of Rosalyn? You want to keep her picture in your heart. Don't you want to share it?"

Alex Hargreaves' face changed slightly as he responded. "Well, I didn't mention it because I thought she would never go back here to live in the United States."

He sighed and scooted closer beside her. His hands as big as her whole face began to stroke her hair. "Prosperity suddenly left without saying goodbye. Her family also moved abroad at the same time, so I don't think she will go back here to her hometown."

"I also wonder why Rosalyn came back." Alex put his hands in his face and expressed his doubts that dwelled in his heart.

The next day, the answer was quickly obtained from Rosalyn's message and was sent to him afterward.

"Alex Hargreaves, I haven't seen you for years. Is it convenient for you to meet me?"

Alex was about to answer when Secretary Gerald entered the door.

"Mr. Hargreaves, it's time for your meeting."

He glanced at the phone and then left and proceed to the big conference room.

In the morning after the meeting lasted nearly a day, Alex walked out of the conference room and found that his assistant was ready.

"Mr. Alex, a girl is waiting for you in the living room."

When he looked at the excitement of his assistant, Alex Hargreaves was baffled because of his expression. It is difficult for him to understand. He was sure that it is not a client.

As he pushed the door of the room with a suspicious expression, he was surprised to see a familiar face and friendly smile that he once knew.

"I came back." The eyes that once distracted him turned into a smile.

Seated on the opposite side of the coffee table, Rosalyn studied Alex carefully. Her voice was quite excited. "This year, you haven't changed a bit."

"You're still young. You speak at ease, like a friend who has never been far away. It was fate that Ms. Elly told me about your cooperation last night."

Rosalyn smiled, paused for a few seconds, and looked up. She stared at Alex and said slowly. "Actually, I work with her because of you."

All of a sudden, his face became stiff. It doesn't look like he was born with it.

Rosalyn's voice is still very pleasant. "I know your relationship. Because she is the one you love, I believe that she must have something special and talent, so I believe in her strength. I believe that the cooperation will be successful." Rosalyn said.

When the stone in his heart was lifted, he breathed a sigh of relief because of the reason she said.

"Don't worry, Elly works very hard. She has the ability and talent that will make you satisfied."

"I believe you." Rosalyn blinked and teased him jokingly. "I sent a text message to see you, but you didn't reply. I thought you didn't want to see me, your friend again."

Her head was slightly lowered and she looked disappointed which made Alex feel guilty. "That's ridiculous, we are friends. Why wouldn't I want to see you?"

Rosalyn's lonely eyes sparkled and she gave him a card.

"It's my birthday next week. Come and attend the party with me."

Alex was well aware of her friend's character and preferences, so felt reluctant to let an old friend down. "Okay, I'll be there for sure." He nodded in agreement, afraid to refuse.

When she heard the news of Rosalyn, Emily Russel seemed to be in a restless spirit. She was always aware of it and has made mistakes without the need for her subordinates to track down their work and activities.

Elly was also aware of the anomaly and called her to the office alone. She was not happy with the way she was flattered, she tapped her hands and reminded.

"What are you thinking? What's the matter with you lately? You seem uneasy. If you need my help, just say it."

Emily Russel's face changed under Elly's concern but she quickly disguised it.

"Nothing, just thinking about the projects we are currently working on. Male colleagues are very excited about the project," she said. Emily Russel casually made excuse to deal with her queries. She didn't want Elly to know what she thought.

Elly didn't think about it too much. She didn't press her for more information. Instead, she gave her a document.

"Kindly take it to Miss Rosalyn's home and help me confirm her signature."

"Miss Rosalyn?" Emily Russel confirmed to Elly urgently and nervously. Is she serious? She thought.

Elly nodded. "Yes, is there a problem?"

"Can you let someone else go? I don't have a good relationship with her, and if you push me in acquiring her signature about it, it will bring trouble to the company."

Elly frowned, smiled, and shook her head. "Work is work, and you shouldn't bring your personal affairs here. I don't think Ms. Rosalyn will make it difficult for you because of personal problems. Miss Rosalyn is a professional person who understands the hearts of the people."

Elly pushed the document to Emily Russel in a stern tone. "This data is very important. Pick up her signature as soon as possible and don't waste everyone's time in the company."

"But-" Emily said as she tried to refuse.

"Weren't you shocked by this project before? Come on, let's show enthusiasm and professional work ethics to change the attitude of our colleagues in our company." Elly waved and chased him away dismissively not wanting her to come back early.

Emily Russel went out of the room and looked at the material in her hand. She suspected that Elly deliberately caused her trouble.

"She obviously knows that I have a bad relationship with Rosalyn, and she still forced me to do it," Emily said.

Emily Russel's anger is only in her heart. Elly has always been clear about the distinction between public and private matters when she gave her an ear a while ago, and she knew she can't change her decision. She left the company with the papers, dismissive of anyone.

As she saw Emily Russel drove away from the company when she looked down at her from the window, Elly happily returned to her desk happily.

"Sister Elly, why did you give such an important job to Emily Russel? Emily Russel doesn't obey the rules in her work. She has no professional knowledge and clueless about how to get along harmoniously with others. I am afraid that Emily Russel will break the contract this time."

Elly grinned. She gave this task to Emily Russel on purpose. In order to work, she will consider her as her right-hand man to persuade Rosalyn. But out of personal revenge, she deliberately forced Emily Russel. Haven't these two women had a conflict in the past? She thought mischievously.

The more troublesome it is and the more crooked it is, isn't it more interesting?

Elly smiled sideways and answered calmly. "I'm afraid that won't happen."

The assistant looked at Elly foolishly and found that the idea of her boss became more and more difficult to understand recently.

Emily Russel looked at the villa in front of her. She was surprised when she checked at the address given by Elly.

Unexpectedly, after a few minutes, Rosalyn will be able to buy a big postman. And she, the proud Emily Russel, have fallen so low that she only had to rely on her salary and Elly. The person she hated the most.

"No, no, no. no, no, no!" She angrily tried to reject that thought.

The paper Emily Russel was held in her hands was wrinkled, and jealousy made her chest stuffy. She struggled reluctantly for a long time before she could calm down and hesitated to press the bell of the villa.

An old woman opened the door who was working in her plain clothes. She looked at Emily Russel with vigilance and asked. "Who are you? Who are you looking for here?"

"Hello, I'm Ms. Elly's designer. I need to see Ms. Tan. She needs to confirm the contract, and then sign it." Emily Russel almost gritted her teeth and put up a facade. Instead, she uttered kind words and did what was assigned to her.

She knew that she is no longer the veritable Miss Emily Russel that she once was. Now that she lives on and gives alms to Elly at work, she certainly knew how to fake an amiable appearance.

"I was told by the master that it was coming from the design room. People who came over were invited to come in. Please come in. Miss Rosalyn is in the study. I'll tell her that you're already here. Have a seat."

As she sat on the sofa, Emily Russel looked at the luxurious furniture and became more jealous.

The shop assistant opened the door of the study and she saw Rosalyn reading. She hurriedly bowed her head and whispered. "Miss Rosalyn, there is someone here to see you from Elly's Design Office."

"Male or female?"

"She is a beautiful young girl."

The first thought that came into her mind was Elly. She happily put down her book and walked quickly out of the room.

Rosalyn walked down the stairs expectantly and saw Emily Russel that sat on the sofa. The smile on her face disappeared immediately without a trace.
