Chapter 250: Chapter 250

Chapter 252 Bermuda Game

Emily Russel's whole outfit was broken. She saw Rosalyn. She sat straight on the sofa and cannot be stood up because her whole outfit was broken.

"Long time no see." The voice that greeted her was like someone from high status. Her voice was full of arrogance.

Rosalyn looked at her, and the Emily Russel who had already entered the house could not get out. She went over calmly, sat opposite Emily Russel's, and asked her servant to serve some snacks.

"Bring me some tea for the guest."

As she looked at the tea set on the luxurious table and watched Rosalyn study her clothes, Emily Russel looked at her jealously. After seeing her for many years, she became polite and well-mannered that is opposite from the person that she was once. Indeed, the foreign environment can change a person's temperament.

Under Emily Russel's sarcastic tone, Rosalyn smiled calmly and said patiently.

"Yes, my life today is because of you Miss Emily. I have to say thank you from the bottom of my heart."

When she looked at Emily Russel's sharp eyes, Rosalyn's smile became brighter and brighter.

"If you hadn't forced me to go abroad, I wouldn't have worked as hard as I do today."

Rosalyn studied her expression as she rotated her teacup. She tilted her head and gazed at Emily Russel's appearance with deep disdain from her eyes evident to her voice. As soon as she heard that the Russel Family went bankrupt, everyone abandoned her. She was so pitiful that she clung to Elly so that she had a place to live. The feeling of kneeling must be very humiliating. Only Miss Elly took care of her and that soon rewarded her with happiness.

Miss Emily Russel trembled with anger, but could not refute the facts. She asked. She was panting and clenched her teeth with anger. "How did you know? Did Elly say that?"

"Well, it's not Madeline Russel now, but she has a new name to call and it's Elly, right? Your sister doesn't even want to share it with you. How will she respond to your previous treatment on her?"

Rosalyn drank tea slowly and looked at Emily Russel's ugly wrinkled face leisurely.

Emily Russel breathed several times, tried to regain her composure. She forces herself to forget the topic that humiliated her and pushed the collection of documents in front of Rosalyn in one breath. "This is a document that needs your confirmation, and Elly ordered me to let you sign it after reading it."

Rosalyn's smile is gentle and tender, but her hand remained motionless and her voice is leisurely.

"Are you forcing me to sign? Is this your attitude towards the company's partners?"

Emily Russel looked at her. She put up a facade that concealed her most hateful hypocrisy in her life and smiled. She knew she was pinned down and was played at, but she could only bite her tongue and drown the hate that engulfed her heart.

As she thought of the mocking eyes of her colleagues and Elly's unhappy pity eyes, Emily Russel is not willing to be outdone.

'I need to act, I can do it.' She encouraged herself.

Emily Russel smiled, picked up the material, and respectfully went to Rosalyn's side.

"Miss Rosalyn, this is the latest design document, please confirm it, If you like the output, please sign the contract."

Rosalyn nodded with satisfaction, but still did not reach out to hold the document that was presented at her. She looked at the watch in her hand and uttered a voice full of guilt.

"I'm sorry, it's time for me to practice dancing. I don't have time to read the text. Please come back another day."

"Nonsense!" Emily Russel shouted angrily and loudly. "You did it on purpose to embarrass me, didn't you? If you can sign it, we can forget the past and be friends together."

"Be friends?" Rosalyn laughed mockingly as if she heard a joke. "Put the past behind? Did you dare to say those words? Emily Russel, look at yourself. Is there anyone else who wants to be your friend? Do you think you are still Miss Emily Russel?"

Emily Russel was speechless when she was questioned by her. She is a proud person, but she has nothing to be proud of now. She knew she couldn't finish her work today, so she turned away at once.

"Now, my dance training is for three hours. If you wait until then, I can sign it." Rosalyn chased after her.

Three hours? Emily Russel thought that Rosalyn was joking. It's almost morning now, and she hasn't had lunch yet. If she waited for three hours, isn't it about the time to get off work in the afternoon?

Regardless of her hesitation, Rosalyn walked into the dance rehearsal room and closed the door in front of Emily Russel's surprised eyes.

As she contemplated and compared the bullying attitude of Rosalyn in comparison with her colleagues in the company and what they will say about her if she failed to get her signature, Emily Russel bit her quivering lip and waited for her to finish.

Lunch was not enough for her stomach. There were only chilled teacups on the table, and her patience was running out.

Emily waited for Rosalyn who didn't leave the room three hours later. Emily Russel asked for a worker and heard her explanation.

"Miss Rosalyn will have psychotherapy after her training. The two guests just came to Bucharest."

Emily Russel's face gawked. It was as wide if she could swallow a fly, and she couldn't wait to ask. "How long will it take for her to finish?"

"About two hours." The servant answered and hurriedly left without even bringing Emily Russel a cup of tea to the kitchen.

She anxiously opened her cell phone and called back to the company and found that her phone battery was dead. She bit her tongue and got even angrier.

"So, this is the scheme executed by Elly Russel? I won't give in. The harder I try, the stronger I will be."

Two hours later, Rosalyn came out calmly. Her eyes gleamed with surprise. "I didn't expect you to wait until this time. I'll accept this suggestion just like what I've promised."

Emily Russel looked at Rosalyn's outstretched hand that was trembled in the air but still tried to put the material in her hand calmly.

Rosalyn studied and browsed the content. She nodded with satisfaction and then signed her name. It took her a whole day to let her sign the papers, and her colleagues must still be waiting for her to come back. "Get out of here. You're working overtime."

As she glanced at the happy smile on Rosalyn's face, Emily Russel's back was deserted. She tugged at the material, and hurriedly ran to the door. When it came to farewell etiquette, she didn't say a word.

"Rosalyn, I won't let you go!" Emily Russel roared through her teeth at only enough volume for her to hear it alone.

Now, even if there is a traffic jam, Emily Russel returned to the design room and faced all the scrutinizing eyes of her colleagues.

Sure enough, the whole company didn't get off work and waited for her.

As soon as Emily Russel got out of the elevator, a colleague shouted.

"She's back. She's back!"

Before Emily Russel reacted, she was faced with many eyes of anger, disgust, and hatred.

"Do you know that everyone is waiting for confirmation? Why did you spend one day to get the signature?"

"Did you use your working hours to do your own work? Although your professional level is very poor, you can't be that bad, is it?"

"We all have to wait for you to work overtime. Even Sister Elly didn't have time to pick up Kitten from school.

"How can Miss Elly give important work to an inefficient person like you?"

"Don't you feel guilty about disturbing everyone? Why are you her sister? Sister Elly has a lot of talent, and she works hard. How much did you pour efforts? None, even just a bit."

When a person passed by Emily Russel's wooden cubicle, criticisms, and complaints from colleagues poured out. Some people deliberately looked up and down her shoulder.

Without answering, Emily Russel quietly opened the door of Elly's study and put the materials on the table.

"Sorry, I'm late." Emily Russel did not explain anything to Elly. She knew that her every word now was useless and the more that she spoke, the more that it'll appear as an excuse for her weakness.

To her surprise, Elly has always made a clear distinction between public and private matters, but this time is strange. She simply said these words "Now that everyone is unhappy, you go back and I'll take care of it."

At the meeting. Emily Russel said she was also involved in the project.

"All right, you go ahead." Elly picked up the paper, passed her body, and patted her shoulder to comfort her.

She glanced at Elly from the outside who called everyone to the conference room. Except for Emily Russel, the whole company worked overtime today.

The noise outside was completely extinguished, and Emily Russel stood quietly in the study. She clenched her fists and as she tried to keep calm with her eyes closed. When the curtain opened, a fierce lava fire ignited in her eyes.

'I did my best, but no one admitted how much effort I had made. Damn them!'

Emily Russel overheard Aunt Mathilda's conversation when he listened to Elly's return to the Hargreaves' family.

"Yes, boss. I'll bring it right away."

Emily Russel thought for a moment and pretended to come and ask. "Did you call? What happened?"

"Boss Alex left the important documents in his study and told me to take the company. Housekeeper Geno went out, so I answered the phone." Aunt Mathilda answered instinctively. She turned around and realized it was Emily Russel who fired that question, her face heavy and disgusted immediately as soon as she saw her.

Aunt Mathilda didn't want to look at her anymore, so she went to the study to get the files.

Emily Russel stood downstairs and did not go back to her room. She waited patiently for the opportunity to come.

Aunt Mathilda walked down the stairs with the documents and was quickly pulled away by Emily Russel.

"Do Elly and Kitten ordered you to prepare dinner? Let me help you send the information to the Hargreaves' manor."

"What are you doing?" Aunt Mathilda said as she tried to get her hand back that's been dragged by Emily, but she dodged it.

"I heard Elly said that Kitten wants to eat the seafood porridge cooked by your aunt. Have you finished cooking it?" Emily Russel hid the material behind her back and smiled as she tried to stimulate the topic more.

"Seafood porridge? Why would I listen to you instead of Miss Elly?"

"Oh, maybe Elly forgot. I never forgot that I have to eat malnourished food when I go to school all day, and I haven't tasted my favorite dish when I went home in the evening." The tip of Emily Russel's tongue was sore, which puzzled Aunt Mathilda's face.

She came over happily and smiled kindly. "It's not a big deal to send these documents to the Hargreaves's manor. Also, you're in a hurry. You should work harder when you want to stay at the Hargreaves' villa, right?"

Aunt Mathilda hesitated to do Emily Russel's request. But as soon as Emily saw a chance, she quickly seized the opportunity. She turned around and prepared to head out and did not let Aunt Mathilda object.

Emily Russel got into a taxi and planned to go back to the Hargreaves'. It was hard to say what she thought.

The car stopped in front of Alex Hargreaves' house. Emily Russel opened the door and looked at Alex who stood in the doorway surprised by her sudden visit.

With a grin, she glanced at her heavy makeup from the glass of the taxi and walked towards him.

"What are you doing here?" He looked at Alex dumbfounded with vigilance. He glanced behind her to checked if there was anyone else that accompanied Emily and he saw none other than her.
