Chapter 243: Chapter 243
Chapter 245: Who is More Hypocritical Than Who?
Stopping for a moment, Emily smiled calmly. "Goodbye then. I don't want to cause you anymore trouble."
Emily's eyes were so sincere that Elly almost believed that everything she did was heartfelt.
"You are so determined that I forced you not to have faith in me." Elly stopped persuading and smiled encouragingly. "I'll get you some lunch. Hold on!"
A packed lunch was sent to the office, but Emily had no time to eat because of the heavy workload. She gritted her teeth and never stopped her fingers and brain for a minute.
Emily entered the complete report and data into his colleague's desk 30 minutes before leaving work.
"I asked you to hand it in for an hour before you got off work. You made me work overtime on purpose, didn't you?" The cynical female colleague was still upset with the result.
Emily clenched her fist and tried to answer. "Sorry, although the submission time is later than expected, the comprehensive report is complete and there are no errors. You can be rest assured."
The female colleague looked at the material suspiciously, and the light of surprise flashed quickly, but was soon hidden. "Cut the fake attitude," the female colleague scolded coldly.
"There are a bunch of mistakes. Did you want me to fix it on purpose? Totally unqualified."
"Are you mistaken?" Emily did not believe it and could not bear to ask again. She used to work for Alex, and although she does not have much experience, she is confident enough that she has not made any mistakes. The summary of data sheets and reports weren't wrong.
Emily looked at her female colleague, and the more she thought about it, the more he felt that there was something strange, and asked, "Did you mean to embarrass me?"
Hearing the query in her mouth, her female colleague laughed as if she had heard some jokes. She asked the question contemptuously, "What grudge do I have with you to embarrass you on purpose? Work is work. Your ability is too weak. You're just bad."
"Miss..."
Another colleague interrupted Emily in a sarcastic tone. "If she can't finish the work, she should tell us first so that we can share or arrange for more professional people. She tried to mess around, which not only wasted time, but also delayed her work." the nosy colleague said.
"Yes, you don't need to deceive me with this wrong work experience. Improvement takes time."
"I don't work rashly." Emily retorted, trying to protect herself, but several colleagues around her were pungent with every sentence.
As soon as Emily turned black and was about to lose her good side, Elly pushed open the office door.
"What's going on? What is everybody doing? It's almost time to get off work. Is everyone done?" Elly looked at the hustle and bustle in the office and moved curiously around.
Everyone moved out of the way, enough to let Elly in. She frowned as Emily was surrounded by people. "Emily, are you tired? What's wrong?"
"Miss Elly..." The female colleague soon cut in. "I didn't mean to annoy Miss Emily. I gave the work to her this morning. She didn't tell me she couldn't finish it alone, nor did she ask other colleagues. Now that I'm getting off work, give me a video copy of my usual job. I really can't accept this result. There are a lot of mistakes in it."
Other female colleagues also deliberately show a shy expression. "I know Emily is your sister, but I have to work overtime until night to fix this report and all the wrong inputs, so it's hard for me to calm down."
"Okay, I see what's going on. Let me see your report." Elly quickly flipped through the report and bent down to mouse on the screen. The more she looked, the more she frowned. At last, she looked back at Emily and cursed. "Didn't she say she could do a good job without sharing the work? Is this the best you can do for her? How disappointing!"
Emily was hurt by Elly's scolding, which made her dizzy while her waist and hands trembling tightly. The anger in her heart was up to her neck and felt like it was choking her.
Just then, Elly secretly winked at her. Emily was alarmed for a few seconds, understood what she meant, pushed her colleague angrily and fled the office.
After watching Emily's figure disappear, Elly unhappily handed over the materials in her hands to her female colleagues. "If you are not satisfied, you can do the data yourself. If you are not satisfied, you can repeat the reports yourself, too."
The employees around her froze, but Elly was unexpectedly just defending her family.
"Alright, I'll be off work in 15 minutes. Are you going to stay here late?" Elly smiled and looked around, satisfied with the quick dissolution.
She passed by a female colleague and whispered sarcastically. "Well done."
Elly walked out of the office and found Emily standing alone on the escape stairs, gazing dejectedly at each step.
"Are you okay? I'm sorry I yelled at you."
Getting the kind care from Elly, Emily shook her head and said softly, "I feel ashamed, a little ashamed. I don't think my professional level is that bad."
"Girl it's been a while since you went back to work. It is normal for some jobs to be unaccustomed to causing mistakes."
Emily understood what Elly said sincerely. "Look, I forced you to get scolded so that people don't think I'm covering for my family. As a manager, I also have a lot of embarrassment in order to ensure the trust of my employees."
"I understand. I don't want you to feel guilty." Emily looked at her with emotion. "Thank you for helping me out.
"If you keep making noise with those annoying girls, it will only bring you trouble."
Looking at Emily's red eye, Elly did not know who acted best between the two. She whispered voluntarily.
"I'm sorry, okay. I dragged you here to work, but I couldn't protect you. If you don't want to continue, you can leave at any time. I respect your decision."
"It's too late to say that now." Emily shook her head and her eyes sparkled.
"That girl, Laura, is in so much trouble. If you leave and lose your job, it will make you her laughingstock of the staff. She can't hurt my sister."
Emily inhaled, looked at her and pushed Elly's shoulder. "Cheer up. I'm fine. Your sister isn't that weak. Don't you want to go home early to pick up your daughter? Go pick her up and stop wasting time."
Elly hesitated and nodded. "Alright then. You go ahead, and you don't think about it."
Emily followed the order and said goodbye.
Looking at the back of Elly's departure, Emily's eyes narrowed dangerously and her voice was as venomous as a snake.
"Today's shame, I will give you a double return in the future. Do you want to play me? You're not qualified."
Elly did not know that soon, a vengeance formed behind her,
Elly immediately drove to the kindergarten in the city.
Her daughter was led by the teacher to her, and her face was brimming with joy. She took a few steps and ran to hold her leg. "Mama, mama! I got the Good Student Award today."
"Mommy is so happy! What do you want as a reward?" Elly read and looked in the brown eyes of Isabel. Clever as her child is, she is also very good at seizing the opportunity to ask for gifts.
Her daughter pulled her coat, and as she sat opposite, little Isabel came to her ear and whispered in a mysterious voice. "A new pastry shop has opened at the other end of the street. Can we eat there? My classmates already ate there. Everyone loved it."
Elly was not fooled, pinched her nose and pretended to interrogate rudely. "To be honest, why do you want pie? I thought Mothers aren't supposed to let little children eat sweets?"
For a moment, Isabel's face was as ripe as a tomato. She bit her lips, turned her eyes around, closed her mouth, and was interrupted by her mother.
"You have to tell the truth!"
Looking at Elly's serious expression, Isabel's voice sounded simple, honest and clumsy.
"Nancy said that if her boyfriend can bring you a happy home, she will become a bride."
Elly remembers that her friend Nancy was one of the friendliest and smartest in the reading class. She listened quietly to her daughter's cute nonsense and proceeded to the pastry shop.
The sign on the door said "Newly Opened."
Elly smiled and took her daughter to eat cakes and find toys to reward her for the Good Student Award.
They ate eight cakes and Elly ate a few. The mother and daughter went home happily with cute doll models in their hands.
As soon as they arrived at the house, Emily enthusiastically came forward to greet them.
"Baby, is there anything interesting about school today?"
"Isabel told me that she sat in front of Alex, stretched out her hand and tried hugging him, only to be pushed away."
Emily's arms were stiff in mid-air and her face was dull.
Judging from Emily's reaction, Elly had a lot on her plate. How can that idiot do this to a woman?
