Chapter 20 Mother's eyes

Alex Hargreaves hugged Kitten's little body, he was trembling while crying. He couldn't hold anger, he called Emily Russel.

"Where are you?"

"At home..."

Alex Hargreaves hanging up before she finished the sentence. Brought Kitten out to the car, he drove by himself back home. With the highest speed, passed all the red lights and surpass all the vehicles, Kitten sat on the passenger seat, quivered, he held onto the seat belt tight, glance at his father with fear.

Right after they arrived, Emily Russel was already standing on the stairs waiting with a bright smile.

"Why do you go home so early today? I haven't finished cooking..."

Kitten ran fast through the woman, on purpose to bumping into her legs to make her fall down. "I'm going to my room."

"Oh my, this kid!" Emily Russel scolded him with love, standing up again, she approached Alex Hargreaves, smiling for ingratiating. "When did you pick up him to go with you? I went back from the supermarket and spent time in the kitchen cooking. I thought he was sleeping in his room."

"Kitten! Come back!" Alex Hargreaves didn't notice the fakeness on that woman's face, he yelled when seeing Kitten almost crawled till the end of the stairs.

The obsession about all the bastings made Kitten didn't dare to talk back, he walked sadly to his father's side.

Alex Hargreaves hugged his son with one arm, he gave Emily Russel cold sharp eyes.

"Follow me to the snuggery."

Emily Russel followed with worries. Kitten turned around goggled and lolled to piss the woman off.

Emily Russel chattered, but the moment when Alex Hargreaves turned around, she immediately showed a sweet innocent smile.

Alex Hargreaves let Kitten sit on his thigh, slowly undress his son's coat, and raise the arm filled with lots of wounds that already put on medication.

"Emily Russel! How do you explain all these wounds? Why did you torture Kitten?"

"Oh my god! What happened to your arm?" Emily Russel screamed, she rushed over closer with an extremely real caring face. "Kitten says, which cruel person did this to my son?"

Kitten scared that his father would believe this woman, immediately back chatted "It's Emily Russel, not someone else."

"Kitten! How can you lie? I always loved you..."

"Shut up!" Alex Hargreaves kicked strongly into Emily Russel's stomach. "This is not the place for you to orating. I ask you the reason why you hit Kitten, answer!!!"

"Kitten is just a kid, why do you believe him and not listen to me out? Was Kitten more important than me? Now whatever I said you will not believe me? Alex Hargreaves, you are so cruel to me. You cannot forget Madeline Russel; you also consider her illegitimate child more important than me... aaa..."

Alex Hargreaves stepped hard on Emily Russel's hand on the floor by his heel.

"Who did you just call the illegitimate child?"

Emily Russel felt the pain but didn't dare to cry, she knew she had touched the dark side of Alex Hargreaves.

"You love Kitten like a son but when he sneaked out and ran to the company you didn't know? You love Kitten like a son, but you don't even know about his arm full of old and new wounds? Emily Russel, you cannot even take care of a child, so you don't need to stay in this house. I will find another nanny for Kitten."

Emily Russel panicked in front of that coldly pronounce of Alex Hargreaves. For all this time, this woman knew, because of carrying Madeline Russel's illegitimate child she could have a chance to stay at The Hargreaves family, if...

"Emily Russel! If you still want to live in The Hargreaves family, you should know your place." Alex Hargreaves cruelly said so and brought Kitten out of the room.

The woman eyes full of attempts, she quickly took the phone, called John Elliott. This anger, she needed someone to talk to.

"John Elliott! If you do not bring Madeline Russel out of A-town quickly, I will be merciless. Just because of Alex Hargreaves, get rid of a person or any unhuman thing I would do all."

On the other side of the phone, John Elliott silently looked at the two plane tickets, he didn't want to answer.

No one knew just because of the word love how many things did Emily Russel and John Elliott will have to pay.

Inside the kid room, Alex Hargreaves changed cleaned clothes for his son, put him to bed, and said: "Go to sleep son. From now on, no one is going to torture you anymore."

"Will you kick the witch Emily Russel out of the house?"

Kitten saw Alex Hargreaves didn't reply, he quickly asked something else. "Will you pick up mommy Maddy back for me?"

Alex Hargreaves remembered about Elly called his son Kitten, he didn't know what she fed Kitten for him to clinging all along.

"Kitten! Do not say nonsense!"

The scared of all the bastings made Kitten always feel sensitive to people's feelings. Alex Hargreaves even though he yelled at him, but the evil was less, Kitten said with all courage.

"That was mommy Maddy. You always are brutal that was why mommy abandoned both of us."

Eyebrows twitched, Alex Hargreaves continuously being his son claimed that he was left behind by his wife, he felt the need for a serious talk with his son.

"Their face doesn't look the same, why do you think she is your mom?"

"It was the same, really the same. Mommy Maddy always looks at me with that soft eyes just like in the picture."

The innocent voice of his son like a hammer that hit Alex Hargreaves harshly for him to wake up from all the doubt. He always saw Madeline Russel in Elly, even though they have different faces, opposite personalities. Turn out...

Alex Hargreaves remembered when Elly looked at him, he clenched his hand in unconsciously.

Maybe he needed more people for looking up her information.

The next morning, Alex Hargreaves immediately rushed to the company to meet Elly but he had been delayed by Emily Russel.

The woman made a maid to genuflected in front of Alex Hargreaves.

"Alex! I have found real evidence. She was the one who hit Kitten, she made all the wounds on his arm."

Alex Hargreaves smirked he walked closer, evilly said every single killing word.

"You confirmed that you hit Kitten?"

The maid was shaking while nodding, her face turned pale in afraid.

"Are you ready to take all the consequences for hurting Kitten yet?" Not letting the maid understand the question, Alex Hargreaves kicked straight to her chin made her jawline break, blood all over her mouth. He cruelly stepped on her head, harshly. "Had the gut to admit the fault also need to remember, touching the son of Alex Hargreaves, besides death just have death."

The maid's painful speechless, disjointed eyes looked at Emily Russel calling for help. The woman who witnessed the brutal side of Alex Hargreaves also feel afraid, seeing the maid's eyes immediately yelled out.

Being disregarded like air by Alex Hargreaves, Emily Russel collapsed to the floor painfully.

Alex Hargreaves went to the company with a cold face. All the staffs automatically stand away, just Elly innocently knew nothing, met Alex Hargreaves while waiting for the elevator still greeted politely.

"Alex Hargreaves, good morning."

Elly just felt like a father who didn't know his son was being mistreated was such a failure. She stepped side away, far from Alex Hargreaves a little bit.

Alex Hargreaves recording all her sneaky actions into his eyes, having his first smile in a day.

"Elly! Thank you for Kitten."
