Chapter 17 Emily messes everything up

Allergic to pears? Was this just a coincidence or her preciousness?

Alex recollects the time that he fed Maddy pears three years ago. Her suffering from allergy was so bad that he had to call the ambulance to the hospital.

"How long have you suffered from this allergy?"

"I don't remember precisely how long I had this type of illness. I have no recollection of this." Elly slightly smiled but her sorrowful eyes completely betray her.

Alex found her absolutely suspicious, maybe this was just a trick that she used to attract him.

He didn't know why, but the sense whenever she was around him felt strikingly similar to when Maddy was with him. A name that had always been deep down inside his heart.

During the evening, Alex eventually tried to get Elly drunk.

After Elly had gotten back to her hotel room, she felt a little lighter in her body. She experienced a great burning inside, automatically removing her beautiful traditional Chinese dress, and being naked while getting into the bathroom.

Because she remembers leaving all her washed clothes at home, Elly just takes a shower then goes outside without anything on her, eventually showing her gorgeous figure.

Standing in the middle of the room a tall figure, his eyes are staring at her body, peering back at even the small drops of water dripping down from her hair to her plump bosom, as well as her slender delicate legs.

"Hey! How did you get into my room?" Elly screams, jumping onto the bed, then hides her slim figure behind the white blanket. A slim and shaky hand sticking out of the woolen blanket, pointing to the front door, "Get the fricking out!"

Alex contemptuously has a look at her face with some tears waiting to burst out. "Even if you were naked standing in front of my sight, you won't ever get anything from me."

"Are you bad at that activity?"

"Do you want to experience it yourself?"

"Then why are you in my room? I didn't hear your knock?"

"The door wasn't locked." Holding the card that is specially used for entering one's room in his trousers' pocket, Alex calmly says. "You have to be at the B factory at exactly 8 a.m. tomorrow. I just wanted to inform you in advance."

"Liar, this hotel's room is usually locked right after someone has entered the room. You have to get out; otherwise, I will call the bodyguard." Elly cries out, moving her body, intends to reach for the phone right behind her back. Due to her clumsiness, she falls onto the ground, hits her nape by the bedrail, the blanket now is wide open. The slim body once again appears before Alex's eyes.

"The scar on your belly..."

"How dare you to look at it! Get out! Get out you pervert!"

Elly throws the pillows at Alex.

He walks quickly from the room, from that gorgeous figure which is attracting him.

Outside the hall standing a black-coated man, waiting for him at the door. The black man bows down to him, lend him the files with all his respect.

"The personal information of Elly shows no concern, Sir."

Alex flips through the files with his eyes starting to get darker, then finally close them.

"Keep up with your investigation. I want the detailed information of the time when she was still in the S country, you should find her hospital bill the time she got involved in the car accident three years ago."

"Yes, sir."

Three days later, the business trip ended, Alex and Elly took a flight to get back to the A city. Elly worried that John Elliott was going to complain about this unexpected trip. Alex sat right beside her, feeling uncomfortable seeing her becoming anxious.

"Are there some small creature biting your butt?"

"Mr. Alex, that's so filthy. I am anxiously awaiting to meet my beloved one."

"John Elliott?" Alex found it dirty to say this name.

"Yes. This was the first time that I have left him for such a long time. I went without his permission. He will definitely scold at me."

"Hm! If you don't want to get scolded, then break up with him." Alex smirked.

Elly spared her foul gaze, knowing that her boss was always talking like this, never said anything like a real human being.

After getting out from the check-in counter, Alex was stricken by a strong force towards his chest.

"Alex! Welcome home!" Emily called him, tiptoeing to kiss him on the side, leaving a reddish lipstick mark on his caramel skin.

Alex looks at her indifferently. "Where is Kitten?"

"Kitten was blowing some balloons waiting for us to come home." Emily emphasizes the word "home", gazing at Elly who is standing nearby.

Alex turns his back and goes straight ahead.

"How long will you plan to be here? Take his luggage to the car right now. What kind of employee are you? This was the simplest thing an assistant should do, wasn't it?" Emily was treated coldly by Alex, which made her anger go straight to Elly.

"Mr. Alex hasn't ordered anything, who are you to scold me?" Elly was kind, but it didn't mean that she could be bullied. "I earned my living from Mr. Alex, so he is the only one that can treat me like that. You are just a woman that he makes use of, you don't have any power to say these cruel things to me. And why are you so shameless by the way? Do you think that having a man to back you up meant that you could do everything you want?"

"You... You little bitch Maddy!" Emily wanted to slap Elly, but she didn't stand a chance to do that since Elly had already gone to the side.

Elly hastily takes Alex's luggage and follows him, while showing a poker face towards Emily.

After leaving the suitcases in the trunk, Elly giggled looking at him.

"Mr. Alex, can I go now? I will be on time tomorrow.''

"Go to the company. I have worked for you.''

Elly was just an employee, so she has no choice except for taking a seat in the car. Alex tells Emily to get home first since he still has got a lot to do. She flatly refuses, insisting on waiting for him to finish his job and go home together. Having arrived at the company, the first thing he orders Elly to do was to make him a cup of coffee, then slams the door at her, leaving her outside with Emily.

While Elly goes to the restroom, Emily sits in the room resentfully.

Her anger wells up hearing the gossip girls in the room who are spreading rumors, "What?"

"A friend of mine works in the C city's factory, so this news is without a doubt very valid. Right after they left the factory, Mr. Alex suddenly pressed her down for a kiss."

"Since the first time I met Elly, I know that someday she will be eaten by him. "It's normal anyways, she bears such a great resemblance to his ex-wife..."

"Shut up, don't regard her as that person. That woman was just a replacement for her sister."

"I think Elly is way prettier than the both of them.''

Emily cannot hold back her anger anymore, knocking out everything in front of her. The employees shut their mouths right away, realizing that the person who was the target of the comparison was sitting here.

Emily dashes out of the room but unfortunately stumbles onto Elly, who was holding the boss's coffee.

"You tramp!" Emily slaps her on the face then leaves.

Not only does Elly get a slap, but her coffee also spills on the ground, she hasn't had the opportunity to shout at that ill-mannered woman yet, then the door suddenly opens.

Alex saw the dress was stained by the coffee along with the cup on the floor. He says to Elly, "You are such a useless person!" then left straight to the elevator.

While Elly was full of pent-up resentment, Emily went straight to the hospital where John Elliott worked.

"The doctor was examining a patient right now. You need to get the ticket and stand in line." The nurse ran behind Emily but then was pushed down by her. By opening the room's door, she spoke loudly to the man wearing a white blouse. "John Elliott! I need to talk to you!"

Placing the phone down, John frowns while looking at the rude woman.

"Emily lady, the rule says you are not allowed to interfere with my life."

"Your lover was messing up my life. If you don't want her to become non-existed someday then follow me." Her full makeup eyes scowled at him.

John was extremely mad, but the threat forces him to follow her. She was after all a woman who was blinded by love.

John asked the patient for her forgiveness, telling the nurse that they will leave right away.

A classic vintage coffee shop sitting a sassy and fashionable woman along with a man in the white blouse. They sat face to face, indifferently look at each other.

Emily cannot keep her temper anymore.

"You promise three years ago that you will never take Maddy back, didn't you? You said both of you will never come back, that's why I helped you to send her away. But now she was back. Are you turning your back on me?"

John coldly said "Lady, we both have the same rights, you and I are no different. You don't have the power to scold me like that."

"Then you must have forgotten your humiliating face begging me for help. A useless man who cannot take the woman he wanted for three years, letting her catfish Alex. You don't see that you are extremely worthless, do you?"

"What about you, Lady? Spending three years taking care of Alex's son, why haven't you become his official wife yet?"

"I didn't know that a doctor can verbally abuse someone besides helping people." Emily angrily spills the coffee cup on the table.

John Elliott looks at the black stain, he eventually cannot stand a rude woman at all. Only his Elly consists of all the characteristics of a perfect modern woman.

"I repeat the last time. Lady, Elly is none of your business. We are now no longer relevant to you and your Alex. Please don't come and bother us anymore."

John Elliott left right away, letting Emily behind with her eyes full of frustration, along with her bloody lips due to her biting.

Anger made her become less vigilant. She doesn't notice that outside the coffee shop, Alex was standing, and he had heard the full conversation between them.
