Chapter 168: Chapter 168

Chapter 170 Male Renting for Female

Elly staggered forward. She faced the table and smashed her forehead against the computer screen. She didn't want to quarrel with the ferocious parent, but she just wanted to let go of her hand, but the other party made her hurt and uncomfortable when she forced Elly.

"What are you doing? Elly rubbed her forehead gloomily. Raised her head and spoke impatiently. Not only did she felt surprised but also the two women in the room stared at the scene in front of them.

With toes touching the floor, her body wobbled and her face became purple. Hayden's mother lived up to expectations as she tried to open her hand. She choked Elly's throat until her hands turned white which suffocated Elly.

Alex held Kitten in one hand, lowered his head, looked back with his shoulder, and held Hayden's mother's neck on the other hand. The muscles on his arms taut and his veins rolled which looked ferocious.

"Who did you just hit?"

"Mr. Hargreaves, this is a school. Please don't fight." The frightened teacher came over and tried to stop him, but was swept by his eyes and raised his hand.

Alex's fierce face frightened the teacher. The teacher staggered on her legs and could not stand on her feet as was laid down on the ground. Her arm bumped into Elly next to her as if she had touched a life-saving tool. The teacher clasp her clothes and begged for help.

"Mother of Kitten, please advise your husband."

Elly was also surprised by Alex's sudden violence. She hurried over and said hesitantly.

"The children in the nursery are still studying here, so don't do it." As she saw Hayden's mother's face that got more and more purple, her voice stammered.

Alex turned and stared at her, with no loss of strength in his hand.

Elly lightly licked her lips, she was under terrible pressure from him and unconscious fear ignited in her heart. She put his hand on his wrist. Her white skin and soft hands held tightly onto him. He looked particularly dazzling. With her voice soft she urged Hayden's mother. "Get out of here!"

As if there is a miracle, Alex let go. Hayden's mother slumped fell on the floor, as she gasped for breath. Without giving alms to her, he hurriedly grabbed the wrist that Elly had just his hand.

"Are you hurt? His thumb gently rubbed the red spot on her hand, and his voice was soft and low.

Elly shook her head sheepishly and hid her hand behind her back.

As his eyes gleamed as if he's lost, Alex stepped back and check Elly who fell on the table and the floor.

"If you keep making so much noise, won't you have to pay for the medical bill?"

"Isn't that enough money? It's the exchange to keep someone else's mouth shut." Hayden's mother burst into tears with pain and glanced at the cheque under Alex's shoes. "The number was small." The voices stammered and her fingers tried to push his foot away that stomped the cheque. "No, that's enough."

Throwing disdainful eyes at the woman with a check-in her handbag, Elly impatiently wasted her time on greedy people, holding Kitten in one hand and Elly's wrist in the other, and left coldly.

Looking at Alex's back, the teacher regained her spirits and secretly told herself that she should think twice before inviting parents to school next time.

In the parking lot, Elly opened the back door and put Kitten in the back door. He was about to close the door, but he was stopped by Elly.

"I'll sit with the kid. You're scared him enough today." When she looked in his eyes, she explained.

He looked in the car and saw his son's excited face. He couldn't find a bunch of words. In his frightened voice, he asked. "Are you avoiding me?"

"You think too much." She pushed him away and hopped in with her head down, covering her pink cheeks.

Unable to understand her attitude, he went around to the driver's seat to start the car.

Elly's patient and gentle voice were all he heard from the back seat. "Son, your friend is wrong today, but you can't fight with your friend, okay?"

"But the aunt was wrong about Hayden, and my father hit people, why didn't you scold him?" The clueless child wanted to know.

"Your father is an adult. He knows what is right and wrong. You shouldn't use a comparison with adults. These are two different things." The child's question was difficult to answer, so she analyzed it carefully, and the more she said it, the more she strayed from the subject.

"So, when I grow up, if they say bad things, I have the right to hit people, right? I will not tolerate this problem."

Through the rearview mirror, Alex looked at Elly and explained to his son bewildered. A smile curled at the corners of his mouth and still interspersed with his mother's words of abandoning him, and he coldly interrupted the conversation between the two men.

"Later, when someone bullied you and spoke ill of you, you will directly hit him in the face. You don't have to let yourself suffer; you know?"

Elly's quarrel was startled, and she retorted with no help in the way she taught his child. "Don't teach the child bad things."

Kitten clung to his chair, lifted himself in front of the car, and asked Alex. "What if the police arrest me for a fight?"

"We have money! Rest assured."

Kitten applauded, and Elly held her forehead speechless.

Kitten was a more sensitive child than his peers. When he saw that his mother looked bad, he turned around, kissed her face, and flattered her. "Dear Mama Elly, can't you leave today? I haven't slept with you for a long time. I want my mother to stay with me."

"Mom, you said it many times. I didn't watch TV anymore."

"Yeah. Oh, okay." Elly patted his head and looked at the who was kneeling. Her eyes began to hurt so much that she could not bear to refuse. Looking at the driver's seat with her head sunken, she didn't know how to answer.

"I know you haven't found a home yet, in a cheap hotel, right? My friend has a hotel nearby. You and your child will sleep there tonight. Don't hurt him again. Alex proposed indifferently."

Elly was startled and listened to Kitten who raised a question. "Dad, aren't you coming home?"

"Take my mother home to bed and lock her up, so she can't go anywhere. We have a lot of extra rooms in our house. Mom won't sleep with my father, so I'll sleep with you." Kitten said.

"I can only sleep with you in the hotel. I want to go back to the house so I'm leaving. Alex frightened Kitten that made him look unhappy. As for Alex, he teased Kitten more. "Lock up your mother, so she won't sneak out because of the plot in your head."

She hasn't been with him for a long time. She missed him very much, and she understood why Alex arranged for her in the hotel. Elly stroked Kitten's head.

"Will the kid stay in the hotel with his mother tonight?"

"All right, all right." She agreed not to think. "For Kitten, it doesn't matter where he sleeps as long as he is by his mother's side.

Alex brought the two of them to the hotel, and after opening the door, he checked each room curiously which was a room connected on the same floor.

Alex explained to Elly in the living room. "I don't want to take you back because I just quit my job at the Torch Company and moved out of his house. If you sleep, here again, there will be a lot of bad rumors affecting your honor. I don't want to cause you unnecessary trouble."

"Even if you won't tell me, I understand." She knew that although Alex was cruel, he always thought about things carefully, and she was very satisfied with his arrangement.

Alex said he didn't want to leave early. "Are you looking for a job?"

Elly squinted at him and did not respond.

She scratched her nose and couldn't tell it apart. The location of the cafe is being reported to me, and there is this information in it. He was anxious to comfort her for fear that she would be worried.

"I hope you are not in a hurry to find a job. It is also your fate to find a suitable job. You can enjoy the experience, and when you can't find me when you are tired. I will send someone to help you arrange a good job suitable for your major."

Alex's proposal warmed her heart. But then, he only got Elly's polite smile as a response. "You and she are not relatives, no friends, you are just the father of her son. Her life does not need you to interfere." His mind became wary with his thoughts.

Elly refused. "Thank you very much for your kindness. I still tell myself that I don't have to rely on anyone to survive, but the people around me always lend a helping hand unwittingly or deliberately. It will only make me weak. You don't have to worry about me. I can handle it myself."

"If you need it one day, I'd be happy to. You don't force or persuade; you just want to flirt." She joked.

With that, Alex left the hotel, leaving her and Kitten to take care of themselves.

Elly looked around for Kitten and found the baby snoring in bed. She laid on his side, piercing her lovely lips, with a word from Kitten in her mind.

"That friend said that I don't have a mother, and you are the child abandoned by her mother." She reminisced painfully.

This is the result of your stupid decision for a long time. If she had not left Kitten, he would not have been sad and be that he had been abandoned by her mother, and if she had fulfilled her responsibilities and obligations of working with her child for five months, she would not have reacted so much when she heard Alex's encouragement.

Gently wiping his fingers on Kitten's cheek, Elly whispered in pain. "Kitten, I'm sorry. I was wrong. It's all my fault I will make it up to you in the future."

She apologized again and again, getting weaker and sleepy, she finally fell asleep in remorse.

The next morning, before the mother and his son, woke up, the door rumbled. Elly resisted drowsiness and forced her body to open the door.

"Aron?" Suddenly, Elly became fully awake. She thought he could not find the address. On the contrary, the fact startled her.

Aron could not see her uneasy expression and her attitude was very natural. "Aren't you up yet? I brought you breakfast."

Aron calmly entered the room, put down the breakfast on the tea table in the middle of the living room, and urged Elly. "Why are you still there? Go brush your teeth and eat hot food."

Elly looked at him with a blank look on her face. She was afraid that Alex would come early and she would be very embarrassed. When she came back from closing the door, she saw Aron sitting on the chair like a real owner. Everything he brought is scrumptious, but Elly has no appetite.

She asked carefully. "How did you know I live here?"

"I looked into it." Aron smiled sheepishly. "I know Alex will rent this room for you. You two were together yesterday afternoon. Looks like you guys have a good relationship, no screaming, no hatred, right?"

Her body became stiff and she stood quietly at the table. Her voice was louder than usual. "Yesterday afternoon I went to the kindergarten of Kitten with him. He fought with his friends. I was worried about him so much that I went together with him. Not the way you think."

"What do you think I think?" He smiled happily and winked at her. "Why are you too sensitive? It doesn't matter if a man rents a hotel for a woman, right?"

Elly can't figure out his attitude. She refrained from asking questions that can easily lead to misunderstandings, so she bit her mouth and remained silent. Just then, Kitten walked out with sleepy eyes. He was startled and looked helplessly at the sudden appearance.

For a moment, Kitten ran over and hugged Elly's leg and shook her hand. "Why does he made me so annoyed? Did he send you to work?"

Elly panicked when she was called by his son and sat down to coax him.

"Can your baby brush your teeth and have breakfast? Mom has something to tell you."

Kitten nodded, walked with vigilance, and finally rushed into the bedroom.

Elly looked straight at Aron and confessed. "I'm sorry I lied to you. The legendary ex-wife of Alex Hargreaves is me."

She waited for him to scold her angrily, but Aron reacted calmly. "I knew it a long time ago. I just want to hear what you'll say."

"You do? Do you know everything? Since when did you know about this?"

"On the day of that restaurant, the child called you his mother, and I made a special investigation. I know you're the birth mother of the baby."

"Then why didn't you expose me?"

"There must be a reason for you to hide this. I respect you. I think when you are willing to share the past with me, it is voluntary. You know, I will never force you to do something you don't like."

"Thank you. I shouldn't have lied to you. I decided to quit the Torch Company and move out of your house without saying goodbye. It's not right."

Aron's tolerant eyes and gentle smile made her sob. The warm feeling of familiarity is like a person suddenly encroaching on her heart.

Elly secretly pressed four fingertips on the palm of her hand to make her more awake. Aron's maturity moved her, but she still couldn't forget the time she was besieged and killed. She and Aron both know that the friendship between them cannot be restored.
