Chapter 167: Chapter 167

Chapter 169 Disappearance

Elly didn't answer Aron's call because the signal and reception she lived into was not very good.

She was somewhat awakened by Secretary Gerald's sincere advice. Whether if she hides or hate Alex, Elly should not continue to be with Aron. She did badly by taking advantage of the kindness of people who cared about her.

After leaving the Torch Company, she didn't found a job as smoothly as she thought. After several interviews with some companies, she got rejected. If the interviewer is not satisfied with her or if she does not like the development of the company, she won't apply. So she is still unemployed.

After the failure of the interview, she wandered alone in the street and did not notice that her cell phone was not powered off. As soon as she walked into the cafe, she was called by a familiar voice that sounded from behind.

"Elly!"

With a stiff back and lingering fear, she turned and smiled politely. "Mr. Alex, what a coincidence to meet you."

"It's no accident." Alex walked towards her. He panted as if he had just run a long way. "I'm looking for you."

"Why did you look for me? What are you talking about? Do you have anything to say?" Elly asked as her eye twinkled.

"Tell me, are you dead? What's the use of your phone if it's not turned on? Throw it away!" Alex cursed in a bad temper. "I keep calling you, but your phone is always turned off. You don't even answer the phone, huh?"

Startled, Elly opened her handbag and pulled out his cell phone to check. She smiled shyly.

"The signal is not good. I didn't pay attention to it after the battery died. What do you want with me?"

Alex sneered and relaxed. He hesitated for a moment, looked at her blankly, and still asked the question in his heart. "I heard you resigned at the Torch Company? Why? Did you quarrel with Aron, or were you coerced because of your work?"

It is a bit unnatural for Elly to accept his concern. Every word of Secretary Gerald echoed in her ears again, and she felt excited and uncomfortable when she remembered what he had done that she did not know before.

Before she could put her mind in mind, Alex's phone rang and he answered hurriedly at a glance.

"What?" His face is serious as he answered the call with a low voice. Alex Hargreaves' eyes are muddy and angry. "I'll be right there. Please help me teach his feelings."

"What happened? Can I help you"? Elly thought things were bad and asked curiously.

"Kitten called.".

Frightened, she approached Alex in panic and asked questions. "How's he? What's his problem?"

The people around her have had a lot of car accidents recently, and she is afraid of hearing bad news.

Kitten fought with other children. He often fights. Alex nodded, stuffed his phone into his pocket, and turned away.

"I'll go with you." Elly unwittingly grabbed his arm, forgot the safe distance between the two, and urged herself to look at her hands. "Why are you standing still? Come on, hurry up!"

When Elly came to the nursery, she was greatly moved by the sight.

A small piece of cotton stuffed up his nostrils as he tried to ease the cracked corners of his mouth and stopped the bleeding. Kitten, whose face was scarred, looked up to listen to the teacher's reprimand and had no intention of admitting his mistake.

"Child, it's not good to fight." The teacher persuaded him so sincerely that he shook his head and refused to apologize.

The teacher was helpless, and it was the situation every day. He looked up and saw Alex and Elly appeared at the door. The teacher hurriedly got up and said hello as if she had been saved and apologized to Kitten's parents. Luckily, they came.

"No matter how much I tried to persuade him, Kitten refused to apologize to the other child he fought with. He asserted that he was not at fault."

Dismissive of the teacher's reproach, Elly anxiously examined the wounds on Kitten's body and face. "Kitten, where are you hurt?"

When Kitten saw her, his eyes shone. His hand held her coat, and his tone was arrogant but comforting. "I'm okay. I hit them. I'm fine. They were beaten to tears."

He was concerned about another thing, and she asked the teacher. "What happened? Why are the children fighting?"

The teacher was embarrassed by his serious eyes, she said hesitantly. "When the child speaks, the child will not also speak. Kitten is very unhappy with the words of his classmates, so he got mad. Just a moment, please. If the child feels uncomfortable when speaking, it will be very difficult for the other child to speak."

"What did the other students said?" Elly's voice is too cold.

She couldn't take her eyes off the side and saw the teacher answer clumsily. "That student said that he doesn't have a mother, and he is the child who was abandoned by her mother. He said no and then hit him on the nose. They fought, other students fought too As well as Kitten."

Elly's heart trembled in pain. She blamed herself and felt guilty. Had it not been for her irresponsibility, Kitten would not be teased by other students that he had no mother.

Alex's face was dark and he suppressed his anger.

At this moment, Alex can't help but scold the teacher with a chilling voice. "Who are you? Can't you teach them? Why did you let them hit their classmate like this? Kids like that, they have to be expelled from school."

His face almost darkened and her eyes were muddy and angry. He held his hands tightly and restrained himself from the impulse to hit people.

Walking into the teacher's office, the mother of the beaten child was startled to see Alex Hargreaves ferocious dark face, but soon regained her composure and uttered a threatening voice. "It was your boy who beat my son first. It doesn't matter for the child to play and touch. He beat my son and needs to get a hospital examination; he was covered with bruises and his head was bleeding but he didn't apologize?"

Classmate's mother's voice was similar to Alex's dark side, and the teacher was embarrassed and tried to dissuade him lightly.

"Mother of Hayden, don't be angry. This matter will be solved. Today's fight is not all Kitten's fault."

"If it's not that kid's fault, then is it my son's fault? He only said a few words about him, which are all true. How dare you hit my son?" Hayden's mother uttered her speech in a ruthless voice. "Today, if the child doesn't apologize to my son, I will take you to court and shut down your school."

"I'm not apologizing!" Kitten lost his temper again and stared at Hayden's mother. "He teased me first, and I was right."

"You are a stupid child!" The mother stood up and raised her hand to hit Kitten.

Elly immediately pulled Kitten behind her and swung Hayden's mother's wrist so hard that her body fell behind and hit the teacher's desk. The pencils case on the table slipped on the floor and fell on the ground.

At the same time, a dark voice sounded. "Do you want to hit my kid?"

Hayden's mother looked at the owner of the voice and ran into Alex's bitter cold eyes. She shivered along her lumbar spine that made her tremble unconsciously. An invisible sense of pressure weighed on her body, and Hayden's mother's lips trembled and her voice was frightened. "I didn't hit the child. I just wanted to tell him how to talk to adults. It is impolite of him to speak like that."

She sniffed her nose and was bitterly cold. "My son is not the one who started this. You are not qualified to be a mother. It was your child, you taught him to swear which proved that you are a terrible and irresponsible mother."

Hayden's mother gritted her teeth and could not speak.

Alex was tall, cold-faced, upright and arrogant, and didn't even mention an apology.

Seeing that the situation was getting worse and worse; the teacher hurriedly dissuades them. Hayden's mother and the father of Kitten, this is a child's issue. Although we have our attachment with our children, we should not be biased. We adults, should not impose our thoughts on them. The matter can be left to the children themselves, okay?"

It is not that teachers do not want to intervene in this matter, but because the parents lack a cooperative attitude, and it will be more troublesome if adults are allowed to deal with it.

"No, no!"

The two refused at the same time, and Hayden's mother insisted on an apology. Her voice was harsh.

"My son is still in the hospital for examination. His head is broken and he has lost a lot of blood. You are a teacher. You must know what is right and wrong and solve it for my family."

Alex looked at the mother's reddened face like a monkey. Hayden's mother scolded the teacher. Without saying a word, he took out the check-in in his pocket and filled in a lot of zeros.

"We will pay for all the medical expenses. My son won't apologize to your kid."

He put the check on the teacher's desk, right next to Hayden's mother. He turned around, held Elly's arms, and led her to the exit, without saying bye to the teacher.

Elly nodded to the teacher and raised her feet to follow Alex. But then, her arms were clenched and her body leaned back unevenly. Hayden's mother held her hand tightly, frowned, and roared angrily. "What's your attitude? Do you think the problem can be solved with money? You are the mother of that scumbag, aren't you? You can't leave. I'm sorry."
