Chapter 134: Chapter 134
Chapter 136 Mistaken as a Mother
Hearing that Aron had no intention of asking her for a fake marriage, Elly was ashamed of being self-righteous. He said shyly. "Well, I often think, because what you said is not very clear, I fantasized a little far."
Knowing that he was joking, Aron agreed to propose on purpose. "Well, if you don't mind, let's start with honesty. I don't mind."
"No, no, no." Aron's quick reaction made Elly laugh out loud. At the bottom of her heart, she never thought of having a relationship with Aron. There was more pure friendship between two people than a blank piece of paper.
She took a breath, Elly patted his chest and solemnly promised. "Don't worry, I'll find the perfect excuse to kick you."
"Yes, thank you!"
Their jokes made the atmosphere much more relaxed. Elly still could not help but put her eyes on the bridge of his nose and remembered that Alex's fist hit him, which proved that his hands were already in good condition. She asked anxiously.
"Did he hit you hard? Are you sure you're all right? Do you want to go to the hospital for an X-ray?"
"I'm not a porcelain doll. Don't make a big deal out of what happed." He looked at her with a frown.
"That's because you're hurt. If I take no responsibility, I will feel guilty."
Under her remorseful eyes, Aron put forward a suggestion. "If you don't feel well, you can treat me on a dinner."
"I'll be glad to do that!" Elly nodded like chopping wood, but she remembered one thing. "Haven't you been on the night shift lately? How would you have time to have dinner with me?"
"I always have time to have dinner with beautiful woman."
Elly nodded to satisfaction and continued to make terms. "It's my treat, so you can't pay like you usually do."
"Well, this is..." He agreed hesitantly and glanced at her.
"If you're worried that I don't have enough money to invite my boss to dinner, you can consider a raise or an extra bonus." Elly was all smile. "If you already have a location in mind, just let me know."
The second day was a busy day as usual, and the work always made people roar until the end of the day. It's almost the end of work, Elly received a text message from Aron indicating the address of the restaurant he had booked. Elly had never been to this restaurant, but the name looked like a very upscale place.
Elly unwittingly touched her wallet to make sure she could afford the meal today and didn't have to eat shrimp noodles at the end of the month.
Once again, she looked at the address on the text message and saw that the restaurant was not as big as expected, but it had a long history. Elly opened her eyes wide in surprise and wanted to know if she had come to the wrong address.
She stood curiously at the door of the bar, wondered if it was Aron on the phone.
"Are you here?"
She answered the phone. "Are you sure you didn't send me the wrong address? This is a famous restaurant with a long history. You must have a membership card to enter."
"Yeah, that's right. That's right. Wait, I'm coming."
Aron had just hung up the phone when the car was parked in front of Elly and the window was put down. "I'm sorry to have kept you waiting. I signed a contract and went straight through here. There was a bit of a traffic jam."
She nodded and waited for him to park the car, and the two of them walked into the restaurant together. Before the front desk staff had time to take the two to their reserved tables, there was a familiar call behind them.
"Mom?" Screaming with uncertainty and suspicion, Elly turned around and a small figure came and hugged her leg tightly.
"Mom, where have you been recently? I miss my mommy so much! You lied to me. It took you a long time to get home."
Seeing that Kitten, whom she had been thinking about over the past year, hugged her tightly, Elly was self-evident. There was an upsurge of emotion and the situation in the outside world was very awkward.
Aron looked at Kitten and asked Elly curiously. "Leila, what's the matter, the kid called you mom? I thought you aren't you married yet?"
The corners of her mouth were stiff in the face of his suspicion. Even if the inner pain was unbearable, her body was powerless, so she simply denied it. "I don't know this kid. He probably got the wrong person."
Crying, Kitten foolishly stared at Elly, his poor eyes softened her heart. His innocent mind raised doubts. "Mom, did you forget me? I'm yearning. I'm your baby. Didn't you promise to never leave me? Why did you forget me now?"
With Aron around, Elly dared not express too much emotion. She told him about revenge in the past, but not Kitten.
Burying her heartache in the bottom of her heart, she sat down, except for her friendly face, which seemed to have been cut out of her heart. The smile on her face was unnatural and asked softly. "Kid, you got the wrong person."
Her words were flapped with dumbfounded tears, his little eyes flushed, and he asked with his head down. "Don't you need me anymore? Do you hate me now?"
Looking at the tears on her face, Elly turned clumsily. "If you're not my mom, can you help me find her?"
"No!" Before Elly finished her words, there was a dull voice behind her.
The distant cold and slight complaints pierced deeply into their hearts.
Alex went to his cold face and looked intently at poor Elly. His chin was furious and his face was heavy. He gave orders. "Kitten, come here!"
The child hugged Elly and refused to let go, saying with an angry voice. "Dad, I can't let her go. If I let go, she'll run away. Mom always abandons us, I won't let go, I would die, I won't let go."
Every words he said were a dagger pierced to her heart deeply, and Elly's heart was bleeding, even though it was calm in appearance. She doesn't want Aron to know that Kitten was her child with Alex.
'You came back to see Alex this time for revenge, not to get back together with him. Therefore, no matter what happen, you should not be discouraged. If you are not cruel to yourself, you are afraid that you will lose your resolve.' Elly was talking to herself.
Elly looked at Alex warily for fear that he might tell the truth. Alex knew her every move and felt the tension and uneasiness in her heart.
After a few seconds of silence, he pulled Kitten out of Elly and whispered enough for everyone to hear clearly. "You have mistaken her as your mom, Kitten, your mother is coming home soon. She's not your mother. Don't disturb strangers."
Kitten did not expect that even Alex said that he had the wrong person. He looked at Elly several times, rubbed his eyes with his hand, and then looked at her. He obviously did not admit his mistake, but his father's words made him dare not to oppose it, and he only looked at Elly with eyes wide open to see that Elly was very pitiful.
Alex could not bear to look into the eyes of his son who looked like an abandoned puppy. He picked up his son and looked at Elly with cold, harsh eyes. "I'm sorry, the child misses his mother so much that he is mistaken for someone else. I'm sorry to interrupt your date."
Helplessly watched the figure of Alex decisively left, Kitten's sad eyes were still facing her direction, Elly bowed her head, self-remorse filled her heart, but at the same time she felt relieved.
'Will Kitten forgive you in the future? Would he forgive a mother that he had always been waiting because she's missing all the time?' Elly felt so guilty.
Aron staggered into her eyes and asked with concern. "What's the matter, does the little boy upset you?"
She shook her head in a sad voice. "I always feel strange when I hear a child calls me mother."
It is also understandable that women always have maternal love. Aron had no doubt about what had just happened. He looked at Alex's back and could not help but sigh. "I heard that Alex's wife died as soon as she gave birt, and the child must have lacked maternal love from an early age, so it would be a mistake to meet anyone who feels like a mother." An instinctive expectation.
