Chapter 128: Chapter 128
Chapter 130: Becoming More and More Evil
After listening to Mr. Rome's comments on his father, Elly was a little jealous.
"Mr. Rome, you have a good relationship with your father."
Appropriately, Rome's father immediately came back for dinner, holding a bucket in his left hand and a fishing rod in his right. The first thing he did when entering the door was show off, while his voice was full of energy.
"Mr. G, I was on fire today. This bucket is full of fish. We're eating these tonight!"
Looking at the elder, Mr. Rome's triumphant appearance, Housekeeper Geno smiled shyly and reminded him. "Master, young master and his girlfriend are here."
Elly stood up and bowed in the sight of Mr. Rome's father. "Nice to meet you! My name is Leila."
Mr. Rome naturally put his arm around Elly, and his voice was confident. "Dad, this is Leila who I told you about. I have a girlfriend now. There isn't anyone else like her. I see her in thoughts about marriage, too."
His father looked at him angrily, as his statements were soon denied. "Are you dreaming? It's not like you introduced other girls before, have you?
Mr. Rome suddenly opened his eyes wide and did not expect that his old man would wipe the status of his relationship clean off.
Before he had a chance to retort, his father sat beside him with Elly. "Leila, right? As soon as I saw you, I knew you were a good girl. Aaron here is the little shy guy in our family. You must have suffered a lot with him, right?
Elly smiled awkwardly, and secretly looked at Mr. Rome with questionable eyes.
"Are you timid, too? Wow!" said the father.
Mr. Rome glared at Elly and hinted that he wanted to act seriously.
The Rome family had a warm meal. Mr. Rome's father hurriedly fed food to Elly, filling up her entire bowl and plate. Elly isn't much of a big eater, but she could not refuse, so she ate diligently in pain. Finally, thanks to Mr. Rome's good intentions to dissuade his father, he settled the predicament
"Dad, Leila is a woman and doesn't eat as much as you think." He thought she was just too shy to refuse but was just dumbfounded by Mr. Rome's father.
The father watched helplessly at the flirting son and turned to say polite words to Elly. "You're welcome" this, "thank you" that, and so on.
A pleasant evening passed. Between so much planning, the gentle warmth of the night relieved Elly and got her mind off the future path of revenge she was going to take.
When Elly came back from the restroom, Mr. Rome's father followed her. "If you have time, please have dinner with Aaron again. I will ask the cook to prepare your favorite food next time."
One the way home in the car, Elly was still smiling with her eyes sparkling.
Seeing that she was in a good mood, Mr. Rome could not help but ask, "What do you think of my dad? Is he too enthusiastic and too talkative? Did you mind that from him?
"No, not at all, your old man was very gentle. I feel very close to him already. You look like your father, not only in appearance, but also the way you two act."
Mr. Rome glanced at her and joked deliberately, "You mean I only have the mind of a young man, but the face of an old one?"
"I didn't say that." Elly switched to being serious but couldn't help her laughter.
Mr. Rome was not afraid and admitted generously, "I'm really not as young as you. I'm 10 years older, and I'm almost 40 years old. Isn't it wrong for my father to misinterpret our relationship?"
Elly giggled in her witty tone. "Right now, you're still sexy."
Mr. Rome took Elly to the gate of the community and watched her get out of the car deliriously. "Thank you for tonight! Go to bed early"
Elly did not catch his sight, as she still waved with relief to her Chairman.
Watching Elly walk up her doorsteps, Mr. Rome slowly drove away.
Elly had just walked into her room at one end, when she was pushed hard and hit her back against the wall. Before she knew it, someone was near her and attempted to kiss her lips. In a conditioned reflex, she slapped her hand directly at whoever it was.
There was a loud smack sound in the stillness of the night. She did not realize she slapped the figure with all her strength. She was then being pressed against the wall with her neck being twisted and her face turning along a nearby fan. As the room's light switch was out of reach, she was engulfed by the smell of cigarette smoke. Shrouded in the shadows, a familiar face was coming to vision. Elly knew those ferocious red eyes as she turned pale.
When Elly realized who the other party was, she was already out of breath. A big hand was slapped on the mound of her face, and she realized that there was danger in those familiar eagle eyes. Alex dodged faster than a boxer, slamming the wall and getting his nose scratched, as Elly tilted her head to escape. The sound of the crashes affected their equilibrium, and the impact on the cold walls sounded heavy. His other hand grabbed her by the shoulder and clung to the wall. He bent down to try and kiss her again, but Elly turned his head and pushed his lips and scrunched them up.
She groaned unconsciously. Her jaw was being crushed and Alex's index finger and thumb pressed deeply on both sides of her cheek, forcing Elly's mouth to open to create a kiss.
Just a few times, he put his hand on the wall and quickly put it down, holding down her thigh, blocking Elly's strikes below the belt.
She took advantage of a few seconds of relaxation and used a strong shoulder to strike his chest, which, though not strong, was enough to show that she was willing to fight back.
He licked away a little blood on the end of his thumb, in a disturbing sexual way, and his eyes looked at Elly in amazement.
"You are crazy. You hate and hate and hate. Is that why you're so cruel?"
Elly lowered her eyes to avoid contact with Alex. "I don't know what you're talking about. Acting like you're the victim? I'm just defending myself from being raped, you scumbag. Why did you show up to my doorstep with despicable intentions?
Hearing of Elly's abuse and refusing to admit it to it, Alex smiled. "What? Can't you accept it? Are you afraid I'll stop you from going to your Aaron Rome?"
"Are you out of your mind? I don't know what you're talking about!"
"Elly, I think John's death hit you too hard, so you disappeared for a year. I didn't expect you to leave to get a new lover."
"Shut up! Elly's drowning rage interrupted Alex's words. With a cold look in her eyes, she shouted. "You have no right to talk to me like that!"
Alex suddenly came to his senses with hatred in his eyes, and he soon snapped and made a sarcastic voice. "Wow, you don't pretend anymore? You still don't know what I'm talking about?"
Elly pushed him away gloomily, walked quickly to the door and took her keys.
"Why don't you say something back? I'm right, so that makes me the bad guy?" Alex kept asking Elly nonsensical questions as he saw her open the door and try to leave. When she tugged at the door and tried to get out free, he unconsciously held it back.
His actions were suddenly fast, and Elly had no clue what to do. She was startled and screamed in pain, as she attempted to drop her hands.
Her eyes locked onto her palms, which were stuck. Blood scraped from the joint that hit the wall, and now her fingers were red and purple, looking terrible.
Alex danced to his feet and waved his hands in front of her deliberately, revealing the pain on his hands too. Both were bleeding and bruising. "I'm getting more and more cruel."
"Who made you stupid enough to block the door with your hand?" Elly thought to herself with a stiff mouth, but the constant glimpse of the injured hand betrayed her mood, not as suddenly as she seemed.
"Don't you know how to treat your guests?"
Alex ignored his and her injuries.
Elly crouched on the sofa and realized in the dim light that Alex was hurt now, his face was still red with handprints, the corners of his mouth were cut, and his fingers looked bruised across the skin
Alex served himself, sat opposite of Elly, poured himself a glass of water and made it his own home. He looked at the furniture within the house while gulping his water with an unhappy attitude. The furniture made the house look so bleak, as it looked like it needed a makeover.
Elly's face was discolored with suppressed anger, and her voice was low and dull. "What the hell is wrong with you? Getting a drink of water? You weren't even welcome here in the first place."
In the face of Elly's dismissive attitude, Alex wasn't affected. He said brazenly, "You will welcome me, and I will not leave. I am currently your client, and if I have any questions during the cooperation, I have the right to contact you at any time for discussion and correction. The clause is stated in the contract."
Alex's lack of sanity and logic seemed to test Elly's endurance and patience. "You're just screaming nonsense. Do you even have any questions about blueprints and plans?"
"Well, I was dissatisfied with your plan at some point." Alex turned his head and tried to dig out the unfinished parts of Elly's perfect design. "If I ask more specific questions now, I'm worried that you will not be able to keep up for the time being."
"What do you want? You'd better give me a convincing answer." Elly roared through her teeth.
"The drawing set is unpleasant." Alex pulled something from under him, which made him excited. It was a leather book and a handheld note. Before he opened it and looked inside, Elly grabbed it and saw that he lacked any helpful insight.
"Since you are not satisfied with my whole plan, I will ask the company to send someone else to design and work with you directly."
"No, no!" Alex was domineering and glanced at the notebook in her hand. "I have given the responsibility to you, not others. You are a stubborn person and will not accept other people's opinions. You ran away and threw it away before you could finish. Now someone else has to clean up the mess?"
Knowing that Alex's comments were intentional, Elly suppressed her anger and sparked her competitive side. "Okay, I will design the new drawings as soon as possible, and the plan will be sent to your company."
Alex just waited for these words and spoke leisurely. "Don't send it to the company. We need to communicate face to face, which will be more effective." He looked at her with delight and turned pale and smiled dangerously because of her anger. "Elly, I won't be interrupted by Miss Leila. I'm waiting for you to contact me. I'm looking forward to my next appointment."
Alex deliberately called the name "Elly", and the disturbed man got up and left. As the black leather notebook was instantly thrown onto the floor, the door slammed.
