Chapter 51: Chapter 51

When Andrew arrived, Nancy and Primrose had just left the bathroom, both dressed in beautiful outfits and ready to make an appearance. At this moment, they had chosen simple t-shirts and shorts that accentuated their slender figures and attractively long legs.

"Primrose, Nancy, over here," Andrew called out, following the position Primrose had hinted at before entering the bathroom. He had successfully found the two-seater couch they had previously rented and had also added another adjacent one. Currently, he was lying comfortably on the couch, casually resting his hand, exuding a lazy yet incredibly charming demeanor.

"Are you two tired after the beach? Would you like to eat something? I noticed there's a famous barbecue restaurant nearby, offering many local specialties," Andrew suggested, naturally, and of course, both Primrose and Nancy did not refuse, as they had the same intention. So, the three of them headed to the barbecue restaurant and ordered some of their usual grilled dishes, along with a few local cuisines recommended by the staff.

"Didn't you say you'd arrive tomorrow? Also, aren't you coming with your colleagues?" Primrose asked while they were waiting for their food. She spoke without paying much attention to Andrew's facial expressions, so she didn't notice a fleeting hint of disappointment on his face.

"Oh, I had something urgent to attend to, so I took the earliest flight here. My colleagues will arrive tomorrow," Andrew explained politely. Primrose didn't inquire further, while Nancy next to her seemed to sense something, smirking subtly.

Afterward, Andrew skillfully changed the topic of conversation, asking Primrose and Nancy about their trip this time. Primrose mostly answered, while Nancy occasionally chimed in to maintain the atmosphere between Andrew and Primrose.

As the dishes were brought to the table, the conversation gradually relaxed, and the three focused more on eating. Among the grilled dishes, Andrew diligently peeled the shrimp for the two girls sitting next to him, placing a pre-peeled shrimp on Primrose's plate first.

"I know you like eating shrimp but are usually hesitant to peel them, so I did it beforehand. Enjoy a little more," Andrew said.

Although Andrew peeled the shrimp for Nancy as well, the atmosphere seemed to become warmer and more intimate. At least, Primrose's demeanor appeared slightly reserved and shy compared to earlier.

Nancy remained quiet, not saying much but occasionally gazing intently at Primrose and raising the corner of her lips, which caused Primrose to feel a slight tension, even though she hadn't done anything wrong at the moment.

After they finished eating, Andrew suggested taking a walk by the beach to digest the food they had just devoured and also to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the unfamiliar country. Primrose happily agreed, and she was about to say something when Nancy winked at her and yawned, stretching her shoulders.

"You two go ahead; I feel so sleepy after eating. Right now, I just want to go back to the hotel and have a good nap, and I really don't want to do anything" Nancy said.

Of course, Primrose understood Nancy's intentions, but before she could say anything, Nancy quickly ran off like a gust of wind. Andrew, beside her, seemed to not expect the situation to turn out like this. He raised the corners of his lips, teasingly saying, "Your best friends are quite interesting."

Primrose smiled awkwardly, not daring to reply to anything. She and Andrew both understood the reasons behind Nancy's somewhat odd actions, but they chose to act as if they didn't notice. Luckily, Andrew didn't let the awkward atmosphere linger for too long. He gently held Primrose's hand and moved forward.

"Alright, why don't we take a stroll around the beach and enjoy the breeze? Let's go," he suggested.

Walking behind Andrew, Primrose finally noticed the sleeveless shirt he was wearing today, which was incredibly attractive, revealing the muscles on his arms and his healthy tanned skin. Moreover, Primrose suddenly remembered that she had previously mentioned to Andrew that she liked muscular men because she found them powerful and attractive, jokingly saying that if Andrew had more muscles, she would love him even more.

With the old memories flooding back, Primrose trembled. But Andrew walked ahead, seemingly unaware of the change in Primrose's emotions. He gently slowed his pace to match Primrose's, continuing the conversation by asking about her current life. His tone was gentle and soothing, making Primrose feel relaxed, and she answered each question fluently.

"So, what are your plans for the future?" Andrew suddenly slowed down and asked a question without any preamble, directly, and without any strings attached, making Primrose slightly surprised. She tilted her head, blinked, and waited for an explanation.

"I mean, after your divorce from your current husband, do you have any plans?" Andrew added, looking a bit embarrassed, while lightly running his fingers through his slightly messy hair. Primrose remained silent for a moment, only briefly mentioning the matter of her marriage once during their previous encounter at the restaurant, and Andrew hadn't asked about it in detail before. She thought he wasn't concerned, so when asked now, she felt a little caught off guard.

As for her plans after the divorce, she wasn't entirely sure. Primrose knew that this trip to the country of Y was like an escape from reality, a way to escape the sweetness that Joel had brought. It was a temporary respite, so when she returned home, everything would return to its proper course.

"Currently, not really. I may continue to enjoy my single life and focus on doing well at work," Primrose replied gently, her voice as soothing as a passing breeze. Andrew hesitated for a moment before sighing lightly a few times, as if he had just released a burden. He clenched his hand again and then continued to ask.

"Do you think I have the potential to become your new boyfriend after you divorce your current husband? I am serious," Andrew said sincerely.

This was something Andrew had said before, but Primrose didn't take it seriously and treated it as a joke. However, now he repeated it with a determined tone, sincere eyes, and a tense expression, which made Primrose also feel a sense of tension. She didn't know how to reply, as she hadn't considered this possibility. After experiencing the brokenness of her emotions, her heart had been somewhat hurt, so she needed time to heal completely before starting a new relationship.

Moreover, it had been a long time since she had seen Andrew, and now they had unexpectedly met under these circumstances, so Primrose didn't know if she still felt a stir of emotions. Regardless, the passionate feelings they once shared had long come to an end.

"If you find it difficult to answer right now, don't rush. I can wait. You can contact me when you've figured it out; I'll always be willing to wait," Andrew said, not wanting to burden Primrose with his question. He gently smiled, reassuringly calming Primrose.

"Alright, don't look so guilty. I'll take you back to the hotel," Andrew said, gently ruffling Primrose's slightly messy hair and then taking her hand to walk in the opposite direction.

A peaceful day came to an end.
