CHAPTER 47

" Now you'll have to listen and do whatever I tell you to without any objections, understood?" Selena growled. Hudson and Alvara nodded firmly.

" Good. I want the two of you to start the war but...I want the the two of you to direct your powers to me at the same time and after...kill each other " She commanded. Hudson and Alvara both turned to each other.

" I hate you " The both of them spat. Shutting their eyes close, their fist tightened, they both started gathering their whole powers.

The whole earth trembled greatly and this time around including the Grand Park. The ground started cracking open and the Sentinels were the first to sink into the ground. The cracking continued, heading to the side where Polaris and the rest were.

" We are all going to die" Polaris and Blink cried out. The ground they were on cracked open and Blink and Polaris were the first to sink down but John and Eclipse both caught them on time.

" Hang on, I'll pull you out " They both said at the same time.

" No Eclipse, you and John should go ahead without us, run for your lives or you'll end up getting buried together with us" Polaris muttered.

" John listen to what Polaris said, please" Blink pleaded.

" Don't say that!" John and Eclipse snapped.

" I rather die than watch you get buried together " They both said.

" Hold on, ok?" With that, they pulled each of them out. They embrace each other in a tight hug.

" Let's go guys " Emily snapped them out.

With that, they all started running for their dear lives as the ground continued cracking open. Building can be seen getting buried into the ground and so were people. And to worsen matters, ice and fire started raining down once again.

Gathering enough power,

" Go to hell" Hudson and Alvara yelled as they both sent huge fire and ice to Selena.

" Yes, yes, that's what I want" Selena's evil laughter filled the whole earth.

" Give me more, give me more!" She bellowed making Alvara and Hudson send more to her. Selena inhaled deeply, thereby absorbing the whole fire and ice into her body. Her eyes immediately turned half fire and ice just like the moon.

But just when she thought she was becoming extraordinary powerful, to her surprise and shock, her hand started freezing up.

" What... what's going on?" She shuttered as her legs too started freezing up.

" I think that's enough powerful power... that's enough!" She snapped at Hudson and Alvara who paid deaf ear to what she said.

" I said that's enough, I'm freezing up!" She screamed this time around. A scoff left Hudson and Alvara's lips.

" What were thinking Selena?...

" That we were weak?" Alvara huffed. Selena's eyes only widened as her body started freezing up making it impossible for her to move but she can still hear and see Hudson and Alvara.

" What made you think you could control the both of us, huh?" Hudson too huffed.

" We possess the Fenris force...the greatest power in the whole universe and you thought your dark power will have any affect on us?" He added.

" Well, we will gladly inform you that we were only fooling you. We knew you'll grow impatient and try to have things your own way so we decided to beat you at your own game" Alvara revealed.

" But one thing no one told you about in all those centuries you've lived is that our dark power combined together is more than enough to destroy you and your immorality... Selena" Hudson dropped the bomb. Shock ran through Selena.

" What?!" She cried out.

" Yes Selena. Why do you think your body was able to freeze up? First of all, by absorbing the dark force, it went inside you and destroyed your immorality, making it possible for Hudson to freeze you up...

" You were too busy to notice that I stopped aiming my fire at you a long a time ago and that Hudson was the one supplying you with his ice all these while" Alvara revealed and that was when Selena realized that truly, Alvara wasn't supplying her with any fire.

" No, this can't be. How dare you two trick me?!"

" The say, if you want to trap a criminal, you have to act and think like one and that is exactly what we did"

" You've suffered and tortured many mutants since your life time. You are the main reason mutants were hated by humans, you started this whole yourself and now, it's left for us to end this war" With that Hudson stopped sending fire to Selena and stepped back, paving way for Alvara to come forward.

" This is your last goodbye" Gathering the whole power in her, Alvara sent out the whole fire in her to Selena.

" No! Stop, stop, please!" Selena cried out in pain as she started melting. She was burning up on the inside and that was the most painful she has ever received.

" I hate you Hudson and Alvara! This isn't the end yet, I'll come back for you two and this i promise you...no!!!!" Selena sworn as she melted into water to the ground. The moon shone brightly, thereby evaporating her making her turn to gas and vanished.

Just then, Hudson and Alvara felt a huge power and strength leave their body making the both of them drop the floor with a full speed.

The earthquake stopped immediately and so did hailstorm. The moon started clearing up and went back to normal before slowly paving way for the sun to shine. The darkness that engulfed everywhere cleared up. The ground which were cracked open closed up.

Blink , John, Polaris, Eclipse, Emily and Ben all pulled a long brake on their legs. Wave of happiness ran through them.

" They did it! They stopped the war!!" They exclaimed happily as they all ran back to the Grand Park. They stopped on seeing Alvara and Hudson lying unconscious on the ground. They rushed towards them...

Hudson jerked up immediately, panting heavily. Looking around, he realized he was in the Underground with Ben beside him, staring at him with a broad smile on his face. Sitting up, Ben pulled him to a hug.

" I'm so happy you're awake" He muttered making Hudson hug him back. He pulled out.

" What happened?" He couldn't help but ask.

" You and Alvara did it, you both stopped the war and destroyed Selena" Ben explained happily.

" Where is Alvara?" Hudson demanded immediately, looking around.

" Don't worry, she's awake and she's in the garden" Ben replied and Hudson climbed down from the bed. He ran out to the garden.

On getting to the garden, Hudson stopped on seeing Alvara. She was backing him, staring into the space with folded arms.

" Alvara" He called and a smile formed on Alvara lips on hearing his voice. She let out a slight cough, keeping a straight face before turning. Hudson's heart leaped in happiness on seeing she was ok, except for some minor bruises on her face. He walked over to her.

" You're aw..." He gently grabbed Alvara by the neck pulling her closer and shut her up by claiming her lips in a kiss. Alvara's eyes widened like it has never done before. For a moment it was if someone pressed a stop on her brain. Hudson only pulled her closer to deepen the kiss.

Alvara slowly closed her eyes, moving her lips at the same direction and pace of Hudson's lips and before she knew it, she was kissing him back. It was a sweet and gentle kiss, leaving them wanting them not wanting to pull out.

Hudson eventually pulled out. They both stared intently into each other's eyes but Alvara broke the stare by cracking up in laughter as she looked away to hide her blush. Well, you won't blame her, will you? This is her first time kissing a guy.

" What was that?" She asked.

" You would rather kiss an ape than kiss me, what do you have to say now?" Hudson teased making Alvara blush even the more.

" Hold on...are you blushing?" Hudson asked in disbelief.

" Of course not " Alvara defended immediately, looking up with a straight face. A smirk creeped up Hudson's lips.

" We did it" He said.

" No, you did it Hudson. You saved me from making the biggest mistake of my life and you saved everyone " Alvara corrected.

" If you weren't able to stop me, we would all be dead now and the universe will have come to an end. Thank you" She added.

"So...what do you have to say me then?" Hudson asked making let out a slight as she looked down.

" Do I have something to say to you?" She asked.

" Of course "

" Ok. I... I...erm... damn it, how will I say this?" She cursed biting her lower lips.

"I..." Hudson slowly raised her head up, staring intently at her.

" You what?" He asked.

" I...lo..." He placed his index finger on her lips and pulled her closer.

" I know, you love me" He said and claimed her lips in another kiss...

ONE MONTH LATER

Well, what's left to say anyway? But I can't end the story yet, can I?

Let's just say everything already went back to how it was before but not exactly as it were. Everyone in the Underground and the Innercircle all went back to their respective homes. Those who didn't have a home all stayed back. The Underground was moved to the Innercircle. Polaris reconciled with her father, Carter. The Frost Sisters were still in the hospital recovering

And as for Hudson and Alvara, they both went back to their home. Alvara was under house arrest until their case which was presented to the case was being deliberated.

Alvara was at home, watching a movie and eating some popcorn when she decided to turn to the news channel because today was the final hearing.

She could see John, Blink and the rest all seated, nervousness eating them up. The Judge arrived and sat down, bringing out a file. Alvara kept her popcorn aside, ever ready to hear what the Judge have to say. Adjusting his glasses, the Judge began:

" After hearing and going through the evidence presented by the mutants and the Sentinels, this is the courts final decision;

" All mutants both men, women and children, starting from today being October 13th 2021 henceforth are...

" Are all considered same as non mutants in the whole world. Starting from today, the court has granted all mutants freedom of living" The Judge announced and unexplainable happiness went down all the mutants in the court

" All mutants are free to roam around and participate in their day to day activities without anyone arresting or being a hindrance. All humans are the same irrespective of their race, culture, language and of course Gene. Mutants might have superpowers but they're humans too and therefore should be treated as one. Anyone caught arresting or torturing any mutants for no acceptable reason, thereby going against this deed will be sentenced to 50 years imprisonment with hard labour. This is the final decision of the supreme court and therefore cannot be amended " With that the Judge stamped the decree.

Eclipse pulled Polaris into a tight hug and so the John to Blink and the rest of the mutants as a happy uproar aroused.

" We did it Eclipse. A new world for our baby " Polaris mumbled as tears of happiness rolled down her cheeks.

" We are free! We are all free! Haha in your faces!" Alvara screamed happily, jerking up from the chair before running out. She ran all the way to the court. She stopped on getting to the court.

Seeing everyone stepping out of the court, their lips all creeped up in a broad smile, she couldn't help but smile too. On spotting Emily, she ran to her and pulled to tight hug. Emily too hugged, letting out a happy chuckle.

" We're finally free Mom, we don't have to hide anymore. I'm no longer under house arrest, I can resume school " Alvara listed and broke down in tears. Emily tightened the hug.

" Yes dear, everything is now back to normal" She mumbled not being able to hold back her own tears.

" Your dad will be so proud of you "

Wiping her tears, Alvara pulled out from the hug.

" Where is Hudson?" She asked

" I'm right here " A voice answered. Turning, a happy scoff left her lips. The both of them embraced each other in a hug

" How do you feel?" Alvara asked.

" I've never been so proud of our team. We are really the best teammate in the whole world" Hudson chuckled happily. Alvara pulled out from the hug.

" And what if I tell you that I love you, what will do?" She asked and Hudson's eyes widened a bit.

" Then I'll kiss you now and ask you " Will you be my girlfriend? " Hudson answered.

" Is that how it is done?"

" Yes " Hudson replied with a smile.

" Then my answer is no" Alvara shrugged making Hudson smile vanish.

" Seriously Alvara, must you look for a way to ruin everything?" He groaned.

" I'm proud of it" Alvara shrugged.

" You haven't changed not even a bit" Hudson nodded negatively with a sign.

" Well, to me it doesn't matter " He added with a smirk and pulled Alvara closer. He was about kissing her when,

" Woah, woah, woah, hold it. The both of you should take it easy ok? Have some respect for we elders here " Ben interrupted.

" Dad" Hudson groaned angrily making everyone burst into laughter...

SOMEWHERE UNKNOWN

Selena appeared out of no where and slumped to the floor. Looking at herself,

" I'm alive... I'm alive!" She exclaimed happily, standing up. Looking around she recognized where she was immediately.

" I'm in the Underworld, I made it!" An evil laughter left her lips immediately.

" Those fools thought they finally destroyed me but they forgot how powerful I am. Now I made to the Underworld all I have to do is look a soul to eat to be able to come back on earth...

" I made a promise to destroy you Hudson and Alvara and that is exactly what I'm going to do. You both better be ready for me cause I'm coming back to take what rightly belong to .
