CHAPTER 45

" Everyone head to the car, we don't have much time" A Sentinel presumed to be in charge ordered in a loud voice as the rest of the Sentinels were rushing towards a car.

" Did you make sure everyone is armed?" He demanded from another Sentinel standing beside him, who nodded.

" We have more than enough weapons Sir " He answered.

" Let's go then"

Meanwhile, Madelyn, Maverick, the Frost Sisters and the members of the underground all got to the Grand park but they were on different sides.

" Holy Moly, what the fuck is going on?" The Frost Sisters exclaimed on seeing Alvara burning like a fire.

" Yes, things are going according to plan. All I need is for Hudson to turn into ice and the war will kick off, I will finally get what I've been waiting for my whole life " Madelyn was already grinning evilly inside.

" What are you still waiting for Hudson, huh?" Alvara's earth shaking voice boomed again making everyone tremble.

" I don't want to fight you Alvara, how many times will I tell you that?" Hudson yelled out to Alvara who let out mocking laugh.

" Is it that you don't want to fight or you can't cause you know I'll reap you into two? Are you chickening out?" She mocked making Hudson look down, his lips pressed together.

" Yes you're right Alvara, I can't fight you. I'm a chicken, I accept. I'm a weakling, I accept. But that's because I don't want to fight or hurt someone I care about" He said looking up.

" You lost someone you love more than your own life...your dad. I might not understand fully but I can relate. I can relate to the fact that you just wish this whole mutants mutation stuff wasn't real at the first place. I can relate to the fact that you want things to go back to how it was before you discovered you were born with superpowers. Trust me, I also want that even more than you do...

" You want to fight this war and this whole science fiction trash, you want to end this whole nemesis once and for all by destroying it...I understand. I swear, I want that too" What Hudson said was gradually starting to sink into Alvara's mind, it was starting to make sense to her. But her dark demon made it impossible for it to sink deep.

" But... what about all those who ain't mutants? What about those mutants who can't live without their powers? What about the Underground, the Innercircle? I don't want to hurt all these people and most especially, I don't want to kill you Alvara" Hudson revealed, praying earnestly that his words will start to sink deep into Alvara's heart.

Madelyn couldn't help but roll her eyes coupled with a hiss.

" This foolish boy should stop trying, the dark is way more powerful than his stupid preachy talks"

Alvara looked down at everyone gathered around the Grand Park. She could see their terrified faces but still, behind those terrified faces were eyes shinning with hope and expectations. Just then the Sentinels arrived. They all stepped out of the car, positioning themselves ever ready to start shooting. But on seeing Alvara, their jaw dropped to the floor. They didn't even realize when their guns fell from their hands. Spotting the Sentinels, Alvara's anger glared up making the dark force in her take control once again.

" Nonsense!" She roared angrily much to Hudson's surprise.

" What were you thinking, that everything you just said will make me change my mind?" She scoffed.

" You must be naturally stupid then Hudson. I... don't... give...a damn... about all these people you mentioned. I don't really care of they all die from this. All I want to do..." She formed a really huge fireball.

" Is fight you!" Her voice boomed as she threw the fireball to Hudson who dodged it again. Her voice was coupled with some terrifying lightning in the sky. The Sentinels almost slumped to the floor due to terror. They all managed to grab their guns which were on the ground and with trembling hands, they aimed at Alvara.

" Al..."

" Oh, I know, I know exactly what will make you fight me" Alvara grinned and stretched out a her left hand. Ben, who was still in coma appeared with Alvara gripping him on his neck. Hudson's eyes widened in horror.

" Dad!"

" Alvara what the fuck are you doing?!" He yelled out angrily.

" Nothing extraordinary you know. Since you said you understand the pain I'm going through and I don't quite believe you, how about we experiment then?" Alvara smirked. Hudson looked down as he shot his eyes close and tightened his fist.

" No. I don't want to listen to you, get out of my head" He mumbled to the voice of the demon in his head.

" Let your dark side in Hudson, let it all in" Madelyn and Alvara both grinned at the same time.

Jade, Ruby and Opal all glared at each other in shock

" What is going on? How come no one is explaining to me why Alvara have been talking about fighting... fighting what?" Jade demanded impatiently.

" I think the war between the Fenris Twins is about to kick off... again. And from the way I'm looking at it, I don't think it will end well" Ruby explained.

" We need to stop the both of them now Hudson is till normal" Opal suggested making Ruby and Jade glare at her like she has gone nuts.

" Are you sick in the head? How are you going to do that?" Ruby asked.

" We can try manipulating their minds and change whatever they are thinking about" Opal implied.

" You have a point though. Only us can stop this two before they get out of hand" Jade agreed.

" I don't think we can stop them. I mean take a look at Alvara" Ruby protested.

" Don't worry Ruby, we can. We just have to combine our powers together" Jade assured.

" You ready?" She asked and Opal nodded firmly. Ruby only nodded reluctantly.

" Let's do this" Jade gingered as her eyes started turning dark blue. Opal and Ruby's eyes too started turning dark blue. They focused their eyes and mind on Hudson and Alvara though from a far distance and trying maneuvering through their minds.

" I can't seem to get it" Jade announced and her eyes went back to normal.

" Neither can I" Ruby and Opal too said, their eyes going back to normal.

" Guys this is a warning. It's like a sign telling us we can't do anything so we need to back off" Ruby warned.

" Enough Ruby. Since when did you turn to a chicken? We can't give up yet, all we have to do is try harder. We really need to get control of their minds and stop this stupid war. Do you want to die?" Jade snapped angrily.

" We all going to die if we keep on trying. Have you forgotten than straining our powers too much will lead to us dying?" Ruby snapped back.

" I don't think this is time for us to fight guys" Opal groaned.

" We can do it guys, let's keep trying" Jade gingered, her eyes turning back to dark blue and so did Ruby and Opal's. They all focused their power on Hudson and Alvara trying to get into their minds but it seem as though there was a greater power, a greater force placing a barrier on the duo's mind.

" I still can't get in" Jade groaned, using all her power and strength. The dark force in Alvara alone started draining the Frost Sisters powers.

" What is happening to me?!" The three of them yelled making Madelyn and Maverick turn to them.

" I told you guys this was a bad idea" Ruby yelled as their eyes turned pitch black

Black smokes can be seen coming out of their eyes, nose and mouth and their face started to shrink. They all let out a loud painful scream as it felt as though their souls were leaving them.

Hearing them scream, a satisfactory smirk creeped up Alvara's lips.

" Fools" She scoffed.

Madelyn and Maverick rushed to the Frost Sisters and just when their souls were about leaving them completely, the dark force of Alvara let go of them. Instead, the three of them slumped to the floor and passed out.

" Damn it!" Madelyn cursed under her breath. Just when she was rushing to suck in the Frost Sisters souls so she can become more powerful, why must the dark force give it back to them?. She couldn't help but hiss.

" Mom, I think they're dead" Maverick revealed.

" I'm scared Mom, I don't think this war was a good idea" He swallowed nervously.

" Are you too chickening out?" Madelyn scoffed in disbelief.

" No but..."

" Just shut up and trust me. We'll both survive this war ok?" Madelyn assured and Maverick nodded reluctantly.

Hudson was still battling with the dark force in his head, trying everything possible not to let it in but Alvara wasn't even helping matters.

" Either you go ahead and fight me or say goodbye to your lovely father once and for all" She threatened. Letting go of Ben's neck, she kept him hanging on air. And with just one blow of air, Ben woke up from coma immediately. He was still trying to fathom where he was and what was going on when Alvara grabbed him again by the neck making him wince in pain.

" Haven't I done a good job waking him up from coma?" She questioned Hudson who still battling with his inner self.

" Now watch me strangle him to death right before your eyes" What Alvara said made Hudson finally allow his dark side to take control of him. Snapping his eyes open, which already turned to ice, he shot Alvara a deadly glare.

His breath became rasp and hot. A cracking sound can be heard and slowly, his body started turning to ice, starting from his hands to his body down to his leg and lastly his face. A really cold and freezing wind sent shivers down everyone on earth.

" Let...my...dad...go!" Hudson growled and started levitating from the ground. A freezing breeze circled him. He stopped on getting on the same height as Alvara who smirked in satisfaction.

" You want to fight...then it's a deal" Hudson's voice thundered and just then the remaining half part of the moon turned to ice. That sent terror to everyone on earth because no matter which part of the earth you were in, you could clearly see the moon.

And to make to matters worse, the ground started cracking open and buildings started sinking into the ground. People were already running for their dear life. It suddenly started raining, but it wasn't a normal rain. It was raining fire and ice. But surprisingly nothing was happening in the Grand Park, neither the earthquake nor the hailstorm...
