CHAPTER 42

John pulled Hudson into the Underground and the portal Blink created, closed up. Seeing he was safe, a sigh of relief left Hudson's lips.

" Hudson what the fuck were you thinking...are you out of your senses?!" John half yelled at him.

" I just wanted us to talk" Hudson mumbled.

" And you seriously though that will work?" Blink scoffed.

" Hudson try to understand. Alvara is not who you think she is anymore, she doesn't know you. To her, you and Ben are nothing more than her nemesis that she has to reed of. Can't you see she almost killed you with those fireballs" Eclipse snapped at Hudson who let out a sad sigh, his head bowed down.

" I thought I could talk some sense into her" He mumbled sadly.

" Well it doesn't work that way" Blink replied, calmly this time around.

" Then what are we gonna do? I don't want to fight Alvara...and I want her old self back...I'm confused" Hudson muttered.

" For the mean time, you have try as much as possible to make sure you both don't meet, under any circumstances" John replied.

" And about how to stop the war from happening?" Hudson asked.

" Well going through the history about Mutants, I found out about a mutant named Selena, the dark queen. According to history, Selena was the one who instigated the first war between the Fenris Twins. Her plan was for the Twins to combine their dark force so she can use it to prolong her immortality..." Blink explained.

" Does it it mean, Selena is still alive and is the one instigating Alvara against Hudson?" John couldn't help but ask.

" I don't know if she is the one behind all these but all I know is that she is alive and if the war kick off between Alvara and Hudson, she'll use for her own selfish gain and automatically turn the most powerful mutant in the whole universe" Blink answered.

" And then she'll start controlling every being on earth; both humans and mutants, which was her initial motive for all these millions of years" Hudson chimed in.

" Now everything is making sense" Eclipse mouthed with a nod.

" I think this is the more reason why shouldn't let this war happen" John said.

" First of all...we need to figure out who and where Selena is. Maybe she is the one helping Alvara out" Eclipse suggested.

" Selena is immortal, obviously, the way she was millions of years ago won't be how she is now. She must have changed her face or something like that. Finding her will be tough" Blink replied. Something drawn to Hudson just then.

" I think I know where I might find out who Selena is" He exclaimed standing up, turning everyone's attention to him.

" Where?" Blink asked.

" In the cave Alvara and I went to. I have to go back there...

Alvara pulled a brake immediately on seeing four different SUV's parked before her. The door of the first SUV opened and a middle aged Man stepped out, who turned out to be a Sentinel officer. Alvara on seeing him, turned off the car, unbuckling her seatbelt and climbing down, a smirk on her face.

" Hello there officer" She greeted, approaching and twirling the car key in her index finger.

" Alvara Lopez" The man spat with so much hatred in his voice and face.

" The new Serial Killer in town...so pleasured to see you" He scoffed.

" A thank you so much" Alvara bowed.

" So tell me, what with the sudden approach, huh?" She asked making the officer huff.

" I think you know why we're here" He replied.

" No... seriously I don't know" Alvara played dumb.

" We're here to take you down Alvara" Alvara bursted to a mockery laugh, hearing what the officer said.

" You're here to take me down... really?" She asked amidst laughter."

" Oh Com'on...you Sentinels just don't learn, do you?" She scoffed when her laughter died down.

" You know what...you should all head home, ok, just head home" She added.

" To make this whole thing easier for me and you... just surrender Alvara. You're still young and have a long way to go.... you're too young to be a killer. If you turn yourself in, the consequences will be lessened"

" How about you...make things easier for yourself by heading home just like I told you. You're almost getting old... killing you won't make a difference." Alvara replied.

" I don't want to turn your wife a window and your kids fatherless...so don't hit on my hot spa" She added.

" You're leaving me with no choice Alvara" The officer glared and Alvara folded her arms below her chest, shrugging her shoulder.

The door of the other three SUV opened and up to 20 Sentinel cops all stepped down. They all surrounded her, each pointing their gun at her.

" I'm gonna count to five for you to turn yourself in or I'll order a shoot...to...kill" The officer threatened.

" Oh really?... Ok, let's see what you got" Alvara only smiled.

" Five..." The officer began

" Four..." Alvara replied making the officer's eye widened a bit in surprise.

" Three..." He counted.

" Two..." Alvara grinned.

" One..."

" And go..." Alvara muttered with a grin plastered on her face, as all Sentinel cops started firing at her.

She quickly formed a fiery bubble and covered herself with it as a shield. All the bullet aimed at her that tried penetrating the bubble only turned into ashes. The Sentinel all stopped, stepping back a bit before resume firing at her.

Alvara rolled her eyes at the continues shooting at her. She created a strong wind with her hands, sending all the Sentinels flying to the air and crashing to whatever was behind them. She grabbed the middle aged officer, bringing him closer to herself.

" I warned you didn't I? But you choose not to listen!" She growled as her eyeballs flared up.

" Now go to hell" With that, she used the man's head to break all the windows of the four SUV. The officer's head was already bleeding as the glasses tore his flesh.

Alvara let him drop with a thud on the floor beside the SUV's. Creating a magnetic field which drew all the twenty other Sentinels to the SUV, she created a very big fireball and sent it to them. The SUV caught fire and so did all the cops.

Heading to her car and igniting the engine, Alvara drove off. Immediately she left, a massive explosion was seen.

Driving home to the Innercircle circle tower, Alvara headed straight to her room. Her anger was starting to boil thinking of the fact that Hudson escaped. Yelling out angrily, she grabbed a vase sending it straight to the dressing mirror which shattered.

" How could he had escaped? How dare him escape?!" She panted in anger.

Polaris rushed in just then but pulled a brake on her leg on seeing the shattered glass.

" Alvara what is this?" She asked and Alvara turned, her eyeballs burning. Her eyes landed on the screen of Polaris' phone and a hiss left her lips.

" What has gotten into you Alvara?" Polaris asked and Alvara sat down on her bed, ignoring her question.

" I'm asking you a question Alvara!" Polaris snapped.

" And so what?" Alvara snapped back much to Polaris surprise.

" Must I answer your irrelevant question?"

" Irrelevant question?" Polaris scoffed in disbelief.

" Have you gone nuts? Your name is all over the news on the television, internet, every billboard in America and you call my question irrelevant?"

" Well if that's the case... I'm famous then" Alvara hissed with an eye roll.

" You are taking this revenge stuff of yours too far Alvara, stop" Polaris said.

" You've turn to a serial killer within 2 days...are you seriously kidding me?"

" Listen Polaris, how...I take...my revenge... is definitely... none of your damn... fucking and freaking business..." Alvara snapped.

" I don't care what the world is painting my name as; a Serial Killer, an assassin... let them call me whatever they please. I won't stop until I get what I want" She pointed out.

" What revenge are you even talking about Alvara... what did the Sentinel do to you apart from what they did to every other mutant..."

" They killed my father... Polaris!" Alvara yelled angrily, standing up and Polaris flinch back.

" The killed the one person I love with all my life...the one person I can definitely do anything for!" Tears already flooded in Alvara's eyes.

" All my life.. I've lived without a father but I grew to love him dearly despite him not being there...

" All my life I grew with the thinking that he was dead until I found out he only went missing after the war between the Twins. I set off to look for him a very dangerous cave...not giving a fuck if I'll die in the process...I didn't care..." Tears rolled down Alvara's cheeks Polaris' face softened.

" Only for me to find out that he was killed by those heartless being called the Sentinels. They killed all the members of the Brotherhood cause my dad was one of them..." Polaris eyes widened in shock immediately.

" What?!" She exclaimed

" Oh... you're surprised aren't you? " Alvara scoffed painfully.

" And you're telling me, I am taking my revenge too far?" She asked Polaris who became dumbstruck.

" This is just the beginning for them Polaris...I still have Ben to take down cause he was the mastermind and I also have an unfinished war with Hudson...so be expecting more" Alvara smirked wiping her tears

" Alvara...

" I am not the Alvara you all knew before...this is a totally different me and this side of me... doesn't take shit from anyone...not even you..." With that, Alvara left, leaving Polaris as confused as ever.....
