CHAPTER 41

Hudson halted on getting to the Underground and after transferring Ben to the wheelchair, he wheeled him inside.

John, Leriel and Blink sprang on their feet on seeing Hudson approaching. Their eyes widened a bit on seeing his ice blue eyes.

"Hudson, your eyes " John spoke up and Blink quickly rushed to Hudson. She took Ben from him, heading to the emergency unit.

"Guys, I don't know what happened to me." Hudson fretted, running his hands through his hair.

" What happened?" John asked.

" At the hospital, I was thinking about what Alvara did to my dad when I suddenly felt this burning anger inside me and when I tried controlling it, I couldn't..

"The Sentinels barged in just the and tried shooting me. Out of anger I was feeling I grabbed their commanded and surprisingly turned him to ice and turning the bullets into ice shard, I stabbed the remaining officers" Hudson narrated.

" What is going on? "John mumbled in shock and Blink came back.

"First it was Alvara whose eyeballs suddenly turned into fire and now, Hudson, ice?" Eclipse said but the last part came out as a question.

Blink's eyes widened in horror when something hit her brain.

"The Fenris dark side" She exclaimed, prompting everyone to look at her.

"What?" John asked faintly and Hudson's eyes widened immediately.

"The dark side of fire and ice!" He too exclaimed.

Alvara halted the car she was driving on getting to the gate of an unfamiliar building. She stepped out, bringing out her phone before looking over to the address of the house. A satisfactory smirk formed and she nodded.

"This is the right address" She muttered.

Seeing that the gate was locked from inside, a snort escaped her lips. Raising her left hand, fire emitting from her palm, she splitted the gate into two and stepped in.

On getting to the door, she pressed the doorbell, waiting for someone to open the door. The door slowly opened, revealing a middle aged man.

"Santiago Delarosa" She smiled broadly at the man who frowned a brow at her in confusion.

"Who are you?" He asked but Alvara grabbed him by the neck immediately barging the door open and stepping in.

"Honey, who is t..." A woman presumed to be his wife asked but let out a scream on seeing Alvara and her husband levitating from the ground, struggling to break free from Alvara's grip.

"Who...are you...and...what...what...are you doing to my husband?" The woman shuttered and Alvara shushed her with with a glare.

"Let's do this the easy way" She said letting go of Santiago and fell with a thud on the floor, gasping and coughing.

"Get up" Alvara ordered and with the help of his wife , Santiago stood up. He brought out his gun immediately, pointing it at Alvara who grabbed it from him, before crushing it into ashes.

Fear gripped the husband and wife, who staggered back trembling.

"Who are you...and what do you want?" Santiago shuttered and Alvara let out a slight laugh.

"Alvara Lopez" She answered.

"Do the last name sound kinda familiar to you?" She asked and Santiago nodded negatively.

"Hmm, Ok"

"What about this picture? Does the face look familiar to you?" Alvara showed him the picture of Lopez and Santiago's eyes widened in horror.

"Are you Lopez daughter?" He trembled making Alvara chuckle.

"So you know my Dad, huh?" She asked faking surprise.

"If that's the case, you must know what I came here to do, right?" She asked again.

"Please... don't... kill me" Santiago pleaded immediately making Alvara burst into laughter.

"I'm sure my Dad must have said that, didn't he?" She asked amidst laughter. Her laughter vanished immediately.

"But none of you listened to his plea, right?" She scoffed painfully.

Meanwhile, Santiago's wife stylishly grabbed the pen knife on the table behind them. She swiftly aimed it at Alvara who caught it mid-air before aiming it back at her and it went straight into her heart. She slumped to the floor immediately.

"Ciara!!" Santiago exclaimed in shock and made to squat down when,

"Get up" Alvara growled and he quickly stood up, trembling.

"Now, that gun you have at the back of your pants, bring it out" Alvara commanded and Santiago complied.

"Good, now aim it at your temple and pull the trigger"

"But, ple..."

"Do it" She yelled angrily at him.

With trembling hands, Santiago pointed the gun at his temple and after much struggling he finally pulled the trigger, dropping dead to the floor.

A satisfactory grin formed on Alvara's lips.

"Adieu's Santiago" She smirked.

"The dark side of fire and ice!" Hudson exclaimed.

"What are you guys talking about?" Eclipse asked in confusion.

"My grandfather once told us that since Alvara and I are the 2nd generation Fenris Twins, we posses a dark side of fire and ice..."

"Which only manifest when they become extremely angry with each other" Blink chimed in.

"Wait...you're trying to say Alvara is fire and you're ice?" John asked and Hudson nodded.

"But why does it seem like Alvara's dark side is controlling her while yours is not?" Eclipse asked in confusion.

"I feel it is because Alvara is fire and we all know how dangerous fire can be , that is why Alvara can't control herself."

"But Hudson, being ice, I think his main purpose is to quench Alvara's power" Blink explained.

"This only mean one thing Blink... the war is going to happen just like it did many years ago, exactly as my Dad predicted." Hudson's eyes widened.

"Wait...wait...wait...hold it...you guys should hold it cos I am confused right now." Eclipse exclaimed.

"What war are you guys talking about? Let it no be the one I think it is" He said.

"The war between the Fenris Twins" Blink answered.

"Oh no...if it is what it is, then we're doomed." Eclipse gasped immediately.

"You guys are aware of what happened during the first war, how can we allow it repeat itself again?" He half yelled.

"I don't want to fight anyone...not Alvara" Hudson said.

"The question here is, what about Alvara? Does she wanna fight you?" Blink asked back and Hudson sat down, running his hands through his hair in frustration.

"I don't want to fight Alvara. In as much as I am angry with her...I can't bring myself to fight her..

"Is there no way to make sure this war doesn't happen?" Hudson couldn't help but ask

"If only your Dad was awake, at least he would have told us something to help." Blink mumbled sadly.

"Since Ben is not here. I think it's our responsibility to look for a way to end this war ourselves" John implied.

" We just can't leg history repeat itself...

Madelyn was in her room, listening to the latest news showing on the television screen. The news was about 8 different Sentinel officer, murdered by a seriel killer.

Madelyn eyes widened in horror, when Alvara picture was shown as the killer.

"The Sentinels has set off to track down this seriel killer and bring about Justice to the death of the beloved officers and their families..." The news reporter said.

Just then Maverick rushed in.

"Mom, have you seen the news..." He asked but stopped on seeing the news displayed on the television.

"Ohh so you've seen it" He scoffed and Madelyn turned to him.

"Ohh yeah and I love what I am seeing" She grinned.

"No Mom. She is creating a lot of havocs everywhere and her revenge stuff is getting too far. We need to stop her before she gets out of hands" He rasped making Madelyn snort.

" Are you kidding me?"

" Of course not, we should let her do her thing. She is making things a lot easier for us." Madelyn chuckled happily.

"If she kills all the Sentinel officers, gathering all the mutants held captive by them won't be that hard..

"And also with the way her anger is going, creating a situation whereby she and Hudson will meet won't be that hard and if they meet, I am 100% sure...the war will break out and then...we'll finally get what we've been waiting for" Madelyn grinned in satisfaction.

" I know that Mom but with the way she's going, she is becoming more powerful than you are and might turn against you...

" No mutant on Earth can be as powerful as I am talk more of being more powerful. I am only letting her do her thing, not that I can't wipe her away with one snap of my finger!" Madelyn growled angrily.

" All I am waiting for is to get what I want from her before wiping her out of existence...understood?" She added and Maverick only nodded to what she said.

" Good. Now I need you to go tell Alvara that Hudson is heading to Rio de Los Angeles State Park and Inform Hudson that Alvara is there too. I need those two to meet so this war can kick off, I've already waited long enough" Madelyn instructed and Maverick nodded before leaving.

" Perfect. Now let's see how this whole thing will go"

Hudson was the first to arrive at the Park, waiting patiently for Alvara.

" Hello Hudson" He heard a voice call and he turned immediately only to see Alvara smirking at him. One part was him was very happy to finally see her while another part of him was in shock at the view of the Alvara before him. He stepped back a bit.

Alvara's hair which was white before was now partly red and partly orange just like the color of fire. Her eyeballs which was still like a burning flame complimented her hair color. She had piercing in her nose, lips and even tongue. A mark of fire can also be seen on her neck, like a tattoo. Coupled with the fact that she was putting on black throughout.

" You've changed so much Alvara" Hudson mouthed in surprise.

" Have I?" Alvara asked, making Hudson scoff.

" I can't even recognize you anymore" He said.

" Even I can't recognize you" Alvara replied.

" But seriously...you need to recognize me cause this is the real me" She smirked.

" This isn't the real you Alvara...this is the real you" Hudson corrected, showing Alvara a picture of her in his phone. Alvara, grabbed the phone from him immediately.

" This?" She snorted pointing at the picture.

" This Alvara is dead" She added crushing the phone with her hands into ashes and letting it pour to the ground.

" Are you even aware of what you're doing? You've been painted as a serial...

" Yeah, I know...a serial killer, you don't have to tell me that" Alvara trialed Hudson off.

" It shouldn't surprise you...cause more is coming. There are technically ten Sentinel officers in my death list and I've taken down 8 of them with only Obed and Ben remaining" Alvara revealed and Hudson was already staring at her in disbelief, wondering if this is seriously the Alvara he knew.

" But thanks to you, Obed is out. Now I'm only left with Ben" Alvara added.

" Is this who you really want to become?" Hudson asked and that only made Alvara roll her eyes.

" Hudson...Hudson...Hudson..." Alvara called, nodding pitifully.

" With this new power of mine, I can technically do anything. Tell me why I won't love this new me?" She scoffed.

" You know I'm not the type who likes beating around the bush so let's do what we came here for" She added.

" I don't want to fight you Alvara...I can't" Hudson replied truthfully.

" But I want to fight you and that's what we're gonna do" Alvara said.

" Alvara...I understand why you're angry, it is justifiable. I understand the pain you're going through and...

" Just shut your freaky mouth Hudson!" Alvara snapped angrily.

" You don't understand how I am feeling so just shut that mouth of yours, ok?"

" Alvara...

" Stop wasting my time Hudson and let's start doing what we came here for" She growled and her eyeballs flared up. Raising her hands, two fire balls appeared and she aimed it at Hudson who dodged them.

" Alvara...I'm not here to fight you, I'm here so we can talk" Hudson said but Alvara sent him another fireballs in which he dodged.

" But I came here to fight you and that's what we're gonna do" Alvara yelled sending another fireballs at him but Hudson dodged it ones again. An angry groan left Alvara's lips.

" You're testing my patience Hudson" She growled joining her hands and forming a very big fireball.

" I am trying to stop you from making a mistake you're gonna regret" Hudson replied but Alvara sent him the fireball. His eyes widened in horror and just when the fireball was about hitting him, a portal open and a hand dragged him inside before the portal closed up...
