CHAPTER 40

AT RHE SENTINEL HEADQUARTERS, LOS ANGELES

A pale, dark haired old man can be seen seated on his office chair, flipping through the pages of a file when his door badges open and two Sentinel officer entered.

" Sir" The two of them greeted, prompting the man to look up.

" What brings you two to my office?" The man asked.

We received information Sir, about two mutants" One of the officer's answered and the man dropped the file he was with, titling himself forward.

" Where?" He asks.

" Huntington hospital. One of them was admitted there and it turned out to be Ex- Sentinel officer, Ben" The man's eyes widened a bit and he stood up immediately.

" Quick, gather our crew...we have monster's to capture" He commanded.

" I can't believe this" John ran his hands through his hair in frustration.

" He did it...even after warning him not to...he still did it" He muttered angrily.

" John calm down" Blink, who was already awake said.

" I don't think this is something we should calm down about. Both Hudson and Ben's life is in grave danger. I'm 100% sure the Sentinels already found out about them" Eclipse spoke up.

" And to worsen matters, we don't know the hospital he took Ben to" John threw his hands up dramatically.

" I am telling you, the new Sentinel officer, Obed...is worst than Lucan. He won't show them mercy...not when it's about Ben" Eclipse rasped.

" Damn it!"

" Hey" Maverick waved at Alvara who was in her room.

" Hey" She replied.

" What are you doing?" Maverick asked on seeing a white board in which Alvara was pasting pictures on.

" Pointing out my enemy" Alvara replied plainly.

" I don't understand"

" These are the pictures of all the Sentinels who had a hand in the death of my father" Alvara said.

" Wow, how did you get those pictures?" Maverick scoffed in surprise.

" Internet...technology" Alvara too scoffed.

" I just searched about it on the net and boom, their pictures appeared and then I printed them out" She explained and Maverick hummed a nod.

" Wait...why do you have Hudson's picture?" He asked.

" You ask way to many questions" Alvara hissed.

" Ok, fine. My last question; what are you gonna do next?"

" Haunt them" Alvara replied almost immediately.

" I'm gonna haunt each and every one of them...and killed them. Not only them, but anyone who gets in my way" Alvara grinned.

" Erm...don't you think...you're taking things too far?" Maverick regretted asking the question as Alvara shot him a knee wobbling glare.

" In taking revenge...nothing is too far" Alvara snapped and Maverick nodded. Alvara continued with what she was doing when Maverick spoke up.

" I received information that Ben is in coma" He said but to his surprise, Alvara continued with what she was doing.

" Erm...did you hear what I sai...

" So?" Alvara turned facing him with folded arms, her face expressionless.

" I...just wanted you to know" Maverick tried not to shutter as Alvara approached closer to him, her fiery eyeballs piercing his. He swallowed hard.

" I...don't...give...a...fuck about Ben. He can...die for all I care" Alvara pointed out before grabbing Maverick by the collar. Maverick's legs were already trembling in fear.

" Never...ever...ever...bring such information to me...understand?" He nodded immediately and Alvara let go of the her collar, turning back to what she was doing.

" Get out" He commanded and Maverick rushed out of her room. Immediately Maverick left, Jade barged into Alvara's room.

" Hey" She called approaching but Alvara didn't even turn.

" Hey" She snapped, tapping Alvara on her shoulder and she stopped what she was doing, turning to face her.

" What?" She snapped and Jade glared at her.

" Who the fuck do you even think you are to snap at me like that?" She asked only to get an eye roll from Alvara.

" You know...I already hate your guts Alvara or whatever your name is" Jade said frankly.

" And I don't give a fuck" Alvara muttered plainly, turning back to what she was doing. Jade grabbed her wrist immediately making Alvara send her a deadly glare and she let go of her wrist immediately.

" What do you want Jade?" Alvara groaned. An idea popped up Jade's brain and a smirk formed on her lips.

Staring at Alvara who stared back at her, her eyes turned deep blue. Alvara one the other hand, only raised a brow at her. Shock ran through Jade when her blue eyes wasn't having any effect on Alvara. She was suppose to have an entrance into her mind and start controlling it.

Alvara bursted into laughter on the disappointment on her face.

" What the fuck were you even trying to do...control my mind?" She mocked before her laughter vanished replaced with an angry glare. Using her power, she grabbed Jade's neck, before pinning her to the wall.

" You should have at least examined me first before doing that. What were you thinking? That you can manipulate my mind?" She scoffed while Jade was struggling to break free from her grip.

" I...am...way...way...way more powerful than you. Even the three of you joined together can't manipulate me" Jade made to speak but only a gasp left her lips, her face turning red due to lack of breath.

" Stay in your lane" Alvara warned before letting her go. Jade let out a loud gasp for breath, coughing uncontrollably. Alvara, using her power, passed a glass of water to her before turning back to what she was doing.

" Drink that and get lost" She drawled.

Hudson, who was sitting next to Ben who was lying on the hospital bed, kept staring at him, hoping for him to wake up and at the same time thinking about Alvara.

" How could you have done this?" He scoffed painfully.

" I never expected that from you...not at all"

" In as much as I don't want to get angry with you...I just can't help it" He muttered, staring angrily at nothing. He tightened his grip on the side rail of the bed and his body started vibrating in anger. He shut his eyes close, trying to calm his nerves but it wasn't working.

Zooming into his DNA , his nucleotides started freezing into ice and before you knew it, ice circulated his whole body. The rail he was gripping on, slowly started freezing to ice.

The door barged open and Obed with 4 other Sentinels barged in. Hudson snapped his eyes open before glaring at them. Obed and the rest of the Sentinel flinch back in fear on seeing his eyeballs which already turned glacier ice blue.

" Freeze" Obed managed to say and Hudson stood up. He started approaching them an they all stepped back a bit.

" Freeze or I'll shot" Ones threatened making Hudson scoff still coming close.

" You leave with no other option" Obed muttered and fired a bullet at him who, raising his hand, turned the bullet to ice before crushing it to very tiny ice blocks. Obed staggered in shock immediately and so did the other Sentinels.

Hudson grabbed Obed by the neck, lifting him off the ground.

" What do you think you were trying to do, huh?" He growled and Obed's neck started turning to ice before, ice started circulating through his whole body and he turned into an ice sculpture.

Hudson let go of his neck and he felled to the ground, shattering the into ice blocks. The other 4 Sentinels started firing at him but turning the bullets to sharp ice shard, sending it back to them and stabbing them with it. They all slumped dead to the floor.

Grabbing the wheelchair in the room, Hudson transferred Ben to the wheelchair before rushing out of the room. Stepping out, he pulled a brake on his leg seeing Sentinels pointing a gun at him.

He raised his hands up in form a surrender while slowly going on his knees. Just when the Sentinels thought he was surrendering, Hudson only strike his fist on the ground and ice ran through the whole area. All the Sentinels standing in his way, turned to ice sculptures, giving him the opportunity to walk pass them.

Every other being in the hospital was trembling in fear, making way for him to avoid getting turned to ice.

On getting outside, Hudson saw two SUV packed and he headed to the first one. Opening the back door, he carried Ben off the wheelchair, laying him on the seats before folding the wheelchair and putting it inside the booth.

He entered the driver's seat but stopped on seeing himself in the mirror.

" What happened to me?" He asked staring at his glacier blue eyes. Igniting the engine he drove off...
