CHAPTER 38

Alvara could feel her world literally collapsing into dust on seeing Ben's picture.

" No...

" No, this can't be true" She mumbled nodding negatively.

" Ben...killed...my...father?" She shuttered, her lips trembling uncontrollably. It was like a dream to her, a dream she was praying eagerly to wake up from but staring at the drawing the more...it drown to her that it was harsh reality.

" No!" She yelled as tears clouded her eyes. She shut her eyes close, letting it roll freely before opening them back.

Gradually, her blood started boiling in anger and she unknowingly, tightened her fist, there by squashing the scroll containing Ben's picture. Glaring angrily at nothing, her body started vibrating in anger and her eyeballs turned flam red immediately. Hudson entered just then.

" You said you'll join me soon...then what's...

Alvara sent Hudson a very dangerous glare and Hudson staggered back in shock on seeing her red flame eyes.

" Al...vara... are...you ok?" He shuttered, swallowing nothing.

Alvara looked down, shutting her eyes close in an attempt to calm herself down but the picture of Ben kept appearing in her mind. This time around something totally different happened;

Zooming into Alvara's DNA, the nucleotides in her body started turning into fire and started circulating through her whole body. Outside, she was vibrating uncontrollably as she slowly stood up from the bed. The scrolls she was holding turned into ashes immediately and fear gripped Hudson on seeing that.

" Alvara...what's happening to you?" He asked trying to come closer but Alvara snapped her eyes open and she glared at him immediately. She stretched out hand and grabbed Hudson by the neck ( without touching him), slowly lifting him off the ground. Her eyeballs was now like a burning fire.

" Your...Dad...killed...my...Dad...

" How dare him?" She yelled angrily and the wave following her voice sent objects flying across the room and everything made of glass bursted to pieces. Hudson staggered to break free from her tight grip on his neck, his leg kicking in air. Alvara only tightened the grip, making it very difficult for Hudson to breath.

"All my life...I've been mourning my Dad...while his murderer...is out there, no...in here, living and enjoying his life" Alvara scoffed painfully.

" Tell me...where is that done, huh?" She asked and Hudson made to speak but only a gasp escaped his lips. His face was already red like a tomato sauce due to not being able to breath.

Alvara let out a slight laugh before grabbing the vase on the table ( without touching it) and bring it close to Hudson's face.

" Your Dad...is going to perish" She glared at the vas with so much hatred before turning it to ashes.

" Just...like...this vase" She added, throwing Hudson across the room before barging out. Hudson fell with a loud thud on the floor coughing uncontrollably and gasping for air.

Alvara set off straight to Ben's room. It was just as if it was the right timing because everyone was outside, as John was instructing them. On getting to his door, she could see through it. Ben was lying on his Bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. Kicking the door open and startling Ben, she stepped in.

" So here you are" She smirked approaching Ben's bed. Ben stood up immediately but staggered back a bit on seeing her burning eyeballs.

" Alvara...what...what happened to your eyes?" He asked.

" You know one thing I love about myself is that I love going straight to the point and making things easier for people" Ben frowned at her in confusion.

." I am going to ask 3 questions and I require nothing else but a yes or no from you. Starting with the first question...

" Do you know who Lopez Adams is?" Ben's eyes widened on hearing the name.

" Why are you asking me ab...

" That is not the answer I required!" Alvara growled angrily and Ben staggered back.

" Y...es" He replied making Alvara scoff.

" Second question; Are you aware...that he is my Dad?" She asked and shock ran through Ben.

" What?" He exclaimed faintly and Alvara glared at him.

" No...I...swear...

" Last question.." Alvara trailed him off.

" Are you aware of what I'm going to do to you...for killing my Dad?" She grinned. Guilt, pain and regret overwhelmed Ben immediately. He knew, he can remember he killed Lopez but that was when he was a Sentinel officer and never knew he was Alvara's Dad.

" Alvara...I'm...I'm so..." Alvara didn't let him finish when she, using her power, gripped his neck, lifting him off the ground. Tightening her grip, she made to strangle him when Hudson, Eclipse, Blink and John ran in. Shock ran through them on seeing Alvara.

Alvara turned to look at them and they all staggered back seeing her fiery eyeballs.

" Oh...everyone is here" Alvara grinned evily and using her other hand, she shut the door close, locking it up.

" How about you all sit down and enjoy the show...it's a really interesting one"

" Alvara what the fuck are you doing to my Dad?!" Hudson yelled at her

" The same thing he did to my Dad" Alvara replied plainly.

" What?" Hudson scoffed in confusion. John stepped closer to her.

" Listen Alvara...I don't what you mean by what you just said. Let Ben go" He commanded making Alvara huff

" Sorry John...but I can't do that" She drawled tightening her grip on Ben who was struggling to break free.

" Alvara this is a command...bring him down!" John glared at her angrily.

" Go to hell" Alvara hissed and grabbed him, sending him flying across the room and hitting his head hard on the wall, dropping to the floors.

" John!" Blink's eyes widened in horror and made to rush to him but Alvara grabbed her by the neck, sending her to the door. Hudson made to use his telekinesis to hold her hand from moving but Alvara was faster, so she twisted his wrist immediately.

" Alvara what the fuck has gotten into you?!" Eclipse yelled at her as she grabbed Hudson by the leg, flinging him off to where John was.

" Fuck!" Eclipse cursed as Alvara kept on banging Ben's head on the wall until he started bleeding. Trying to use his light to electrocute Alvara, to his uttermost surprise, she just absorb the whole light.

" Maybe you forgot...that I am fire myself" She grinned, grabbing him by the neck, strangling him till he passed out before letting him drop weightlessly on the floor.

Focusing on Ben, she let him go too and he dropped to the floor.

" I will come back for you...I promise" She muttered before, moving through the door without even opening it. She headed straight to the garden where Maverick was waiting for her.

On getting to the garden, Maverick almost fell off the bench he was sitting on, on seeing her.

" Alvara...what's...wrong with you?" He stammered, staggering back. Alvara ignored his question and sat down.

" Sit" She commanded.

" Huh?"

" I said sit!" She snapped impatiently and Maverick obeyed.

" Your eyeballs...are like a burning fire" Maverick mouthed in awe making Alvara glare at him and he sealed his mouth immediately.

" Now listen to all I'm going to tell you...

" So you want revenge for your Dad's death?" Maverick asked after paying rapt attention to everything Alvara told him.

" I want to kill each and every single soul involved in my Dad's death. I want to ruin their whole family" Alvara glared with so much hatred. A smirked formed on Mavericks lips immediately.

" I can really help you want revenge" He offered and Alvara turned to look at him.

" How are you gonna do that?" She asked making Maverick chuckled slightly.

" What if I tell you I am not who you think I am?" He smirked making Alvara raise a brow at him.

" Who else are you if not Maverick?" She asked mad Maverick looked around to be sure no one was with them before speaking up,

" My name is Ryder not Maverick" He finally revealed.

" Are you kidding me now?" Alvara scoffed in disbelief.

" I am serious about it. I don't work for Underground...I'm just a spy sent to keep an eye on them" Alvara couldn't help but huff.

" Then who do you work for then?" She decided to ask.

" I work for the Innercircle and by Mom, Madelyn is the leader" Maverick answered and Alvara's eyes widened a bit

" The fuck you just said now?!" She exclaimed.

" Yep...I'm nothing but a spy"

" You know I should be angry with you for lying to me or even possibly kill you right now..." Maverick's heart skipped in fear and he chuckled nervously.

" But I won't" Alvara assured and he heaved.

" But...

" Only if you you help me with my revenge. Can the so called Innercircle do that?" Alvara asked.

" You've come to the right person then" Maverick grin.

" You know...I love this new you" He nodded in satisfaction making Alvara scoff.

" You won't only get you revenge but double of it...especially from Ben and Hudson...

" I love the sound of that" Alvara grinned evilly, her eyeballs still like a burning fire...
