CHAPTER 34

" Today is the the day Lucan and Elijah are leaving and Polaris is no where to be found" Eclipse announced to John who sprang on his feet immediately.

" Damn it! I'm sure she must have headed to the airport...it's 11:30 already" John cursed

" I've tried...I've tried everything possible to convince not to go ahead with her plan but she's just too determined. If her plan is to work out...we're doomed then" Eclipse groaned, frustrated.

" We have to try to stop her" John said.

" But I've tried...

" Are you giving up already?" John trialed Eclipse off with the question making him let out a sigh.

" She is about to make the worst mistake of her life...it is our duty to stop her" John implied and Eclipse nodded.

" We're heading to the airport now...let's go" John said rushing out with Eclipse behind him.

Polaris and the Frost Sisters were already driving to the airport. All through the drive, Polaris couldn't help thinking about Leriel.

" Will he come after me and try to stop me?"

" It's a good thing you kept the Underground out of this. But sooner or later, I think they're gonna come after you" Jade spoke up on reading what was on Polaris' mind.

" I doubt that" Polaris replied.

" A lot had been going on lately...I don't think they'll have time for that" She added with a scoff.

" And what about Leriel?" Jade's question left Polaris speechless. Their car halted just then.

" We're here" Ruby announced unbuckling her seatbelt and stepping out together with Opal. Jade and Polaris did the same.

" Are you sure you can handle this...alone?" Jade asked, making Polaris turn to her with folded arms.

" Do you think I'm a chicken to back out?" She asked

" You guys can leave, I don't want anyone thinking I'm doing this because of you" She added.

" We'll leave you to do your then then" With that the Frost Sisters entered the car and drove off.

Polaris without wasting time, headed to the take off site, waiting by the fence for the plane to take off.

Meanwhile, John, Eclipse and Blink arrived at the airport, stepping out of the car.

" It's already 11:57, I'm sure she must be at the take off site" Blink said and they all rushed to the site. On getting there, they saw Polaris waiting patiently to make her move.

" Luna" Eclipse called and Polaris turned on hearing his voice.

" What are you guys doing here?" She hissed on seeing them.

" We're here to take you home" Eclipse smiled making her snort with an eye roll.

" Take me home?" She scoffed.

" Where? Which home are you talking about?" She asked with folded arms.

" Polaris...we can resolve this issue...it doesn't have to be this way" Eclipse said

" If not this way...then which other way are you talking about?"

" In two minutes time, the stupid plane containing those bastards are gonna take off. If it can be resolved just like you said...then why haven't you done anything yet?...Is it after the deed is signed before you can thing of something, huh?" Polaris half yelled.

" Well...it will be too late by then...to late and I'm sorry I can't take the risk. I have to do this...so please...don't try to stop me and stay out of my way" Polaris pleaded

" Luna...please don't do this...why won't you just listen to me?!" Eclipse yelled.

" Cause I don't wanna listen to you Leriel!" Polaris yelled back

" Polaris..." Blink made to come forward but Polaris created a barbwire with electricity running through it to block their way. Blink stepped back in shock.

" Stay out of my way guys" Polaris warned before turning her back on them.

" Luna please stop...don't do this" Eclipse pleaded.

" Remember what happened years ago...think about all the innocent lives lost on that day. Think of all the children that were rendered orphans...just because we tried fighting the Sentinels...

" Not everyone on that plane are the bad guys, believe me. If you take down the plane, all these innocent people will die" Eclipse tried reasoning and Polaris turned to face them, a painful scoff escaping her lips.

" And what about all the mutants that lost their life on that day?... What about the ones rendered orphans...are we gonna neglect that?" She asked.

" What about now...what about the future?"

" A decree is about to be signed, all mutants are gonna die. If I don't stop that damn fucking plane...we're all gonna die...don't you get it?!" Polaris yelled angrily as tears rolled down her eyes but she quickly wiped them off.

" You're ain't thinking straight Polaris...you're not a killer. This isn't why the X-Men chose us; not so we'll kill innocent lives" John spoke up.

" Maybe the X-Men made a mistake by choosing me then. I'm sorry to let them down" Polaris scoffed painfully.

" I know you're doing all these for our baby but this isn't the right way. It still doesn't change the fact that she has to live in this world!"

" It's time to create a new world for all mutants" With that been said, Polaris turned. Just then, the plane took off.

Widening her hands, a green flame emitted from her palm. She closed her eyes as another green light started circulating her and slowly, she started levitating to the sky. Having reached the desirable height, she snapped her eyes open which were already flam green. Using her magnetism, she grabbed the plane, dragging it back

Fear seized everyone in the plane as the emergency alarm hit off.

" What the fuck is going on?" Lucan barged into the control room.

" I don't know Sir but I think there's a force holding back the plane from moving, I can't even control it Sir" The pilot answered.

" What do you mean you can't control it...isn't that your job?", Lucan snapped at him

" This is beyond me Sir" The pilot replied.

The emergency alarm kept ringing and everyone in the plane started panicking.

Using almost her whole strength, Polaris let out a loud scream, ripping the plane in two and leaving it to crash to the ground. Just then, a loud outburst was seen as the plane bursted in flames. Due to the wave and heat of the outburst was kinda too much...it sent Eclipse, John and Blink flying and crashing to the fence. They all fell with a loud thud on the floor, passing out.

Polaris who was still levitating slowly landed on the ground, opening her eyes. Her eyeballs went back to normal and staring at the burning plane, a satisfactory smirk formed on her lips.

" This what you get for messing with the WRONG MUTANT...
