Chapter 33: Chapter 33

CHAPTER 33

Alvara noticed how heavy Hudson suddenly became and running her hands through his back, she noticed something. Bringing her right hand to her face, her eyes widened in horror on seeing the blood stain on it

" Hudson!" She almost yelled.

" Oh no what is this?" She mumbled and slowly went on her knees. She placed Hudson on the floor but made sure he was lying with his stomach. Seeing the 3 arrows pierced into Hudson's back, Alvara staggered back in shock.

" No" She mumbled nodding negatively.

" Hudson" She called faintly, her breath suddenly becoming rasp. Her heart was skipping every beat in fear, her hands and lips trembling as she stared at Hudson's lifeless body. A sting of pain and guilt stabbed her heart.

" What have I done?" She whimpered before tapping him gently, calling his name.

"No...this can't be happening" She ran her hands through her hair, standing up

" Why did you open that damn door Alvara...have you lost it?!" She yelled angrily as tears gathered in her eyes and rolled down her cheeks. The pain am guilt she was feeling was choking her

" What have I done?" She mumbled, falling on her knees, her head bowed down in shame. A realization hit her brain, making her look up as a sting of hope flashed through her eyes.

" You can heal him, right Alvara?"

" All you have to do is just calm down...relax and do your job" She breathed out, her eyes closed.

" Ok first of all..." She opened her eyes and staring at the arrows on Hudson's back, she slowly started pulling them out one after the other. Blood was already rolling down freely as she removed the arrows.

With that being done, she removed Hudson's top, getting a clearer view of the three deep holes in his back.

She placed her right hand on the first wound, her left hand on the second wound before closing her eyes. A blue light emitted from her palm, shinning directly on the wounds.

And as usual, the blood around the wounds started drying up and soon, the wounds were covered completely. She did the same to the last wound, closing it up too.

With that being done, she sat on the ground before turning Hudson to lie with his back and placing his head on her tight.

" Hudson" She called out softly but got no reply.

"I'm sorry" She mumbled in guilt. She knew all these was her fault. It was because of her stubbornness and Hudson was only to save her life.

" I'm sorry" She mumbled again.

" Didn't I warn you about loosing your life, huh?" The thunderous voice spoke up. Alvara whose eyes was already red, glared at the eagle.

" You know this is all your fault...you idiot. If only you just told us about the right door none of these would have happened" She snapped angrily at him.

" Well at least I warned you before hand" The voice shrugged, indicating no remorse.

" You should have just turned back and head home peacefully but no...you were trying to flex how determined and courageous you were and now look at the result...

" You killed him, whatever your name is...you kill...

" Will you just shut the fuck up?" Alvara yelled angrily at the eagle.

" Not another word from that rotten hole of yours" She glared dangerously before turning to Hudson.

" I already said I'm sorry Hudson...please open your eyes then, you're making me feel really guilty" She snapped impatiently.

" What else do you want me to say? That I was wrong and you were right?...Fine then, I'll say it; I was wrong.. you were right and I'm sorry I didn't listen to you. I swear I'll start listening to whatever you say if you open your eyes, please" She blubbered.

" Just open your...just one of it" She mumbled before letting her head bow in shame.

" Please" She tried fighting back her tears.

" Alvara" Hudson called softly making he look up immediately.

A wave of happiness went down her on hearing Hudson call her name despite his eyes being closed.

" Yes...Hudson I'm here" She beamed.

" Did...I...hear...you...right...admitting you...were wrong?" He asked in a weak tone.

" Yes. And I mean it Hudson" Alvara answered immediately.

" Were...my...ears...playing...tricks on me...or did...you...really promise...to...listen to me...from now on?"

" I did promise that Hudson...I did" Alvara chuckled happily. To her surprise, Hudson jerked up immediately, sitting up and facing her fully with a smirk on his face. Only God knows how much she wanted to hug him but was only restricting herself.

" Gotcha" Hudson bursted to laughter making Alvara frown at him in confusion.

" What do you mean ' gotcha'?" She asked making Hudson laugh the more. A scoff left Alvara's lips when something drawn to her.

" So you were just playing tricks on my right?" She snorted angrily.

" It was so hilarious watching you cry and making all those promises" Hudson mocked still laughing. Alvara sent him a hard punch on the stomach, making him roll over, groaning in pain.

" Fuck you!" Alvara snapped angrily standing up and grabbing the backpack. She made to go but Hudson held her wrist, standing. Alvara glared at Hudson.

" So you care about me this much?" He smiled.

" You wish" Alvara hissed.

" You can't deny you where so scared thinking I was gonna die" Hudson teased, making Alvara roll her eyes.

" Why did you do that?" She asked.

" Do what?"

" What type of enemy are you?" Alvara scoffed.

" What type of enemy risks his or her life to save their enemy" She asked.

" Maybe my type of enemy" Hudson replied almost immediately, staring intently into Alvara's eyes.

" Then you must be the worst type of rivalry anyone can get" Alvara hissed.

" Just don't do what you did today...ever again" She glared

" Because you we're scared when those arrows stabbed me?" Hudson grinned.

" Of course I was scared Hudson, knowing full well that I was the one who opened the door, I was supposed to stabbed not you. I was worried ok...that's humanity" Alvara snapped.

" Can we just continue with finding the right door?" She groaned slightly and a smile formed on Hudson's lips.

"Ok" He nodded and they both headed back to the first 6 doors.

" We ought to be extremely careful this time around" Hudson implied.

." Am sure there must be something on one of these doors that will actually give us a clue" He hummed as they both headed to the third door

Moving over to the fourth door, Hudson's eyes widened a bit on seeing something.

" This mark...Where have I seen it before...
