Chapter 31: Chapter 31

CHAPTER 31

" WATERFALL!!" The two teenagers yelled on top of their voice as the roll down a waterfall. The heaviness of the water made them fall with speed as they try to avoid their heads colliding with some of the rocks. They both fell into yet another river still screaming for help.

Before they could fathom their next move, the river started moving, carrying them until they reached yet another cliff hang and eventually fall off another waterfall.

" Mommy" They two teenagers cried out. Due to the speed in which the waterfall was moving, Hudson and Alvara dived into a big sea, sinking into it with speed

Totally silence filled the air as the tow teenagers where no where to be seen. Well not until;

A loud gasped escaped Hudson's lips as he titled his head out of the water. He wiped off the water in his face to see clearly. Happiness ran through him and he ran his hands down his face.

" I'm alive...I'm alive!" He chuckled happily. Looking around, he saw a dry land ( inside the cave) and without wasting time, he swarmed towards it. Crawling out to the dry land, his already soaked, he laid with his back, painting heavily.

" I can't believe I'm alive...We're alive Alva..." Something hit his brain immediately and he sprang up

" Alvara" He called looking around. His eyes landed on the bubbles forming on top of the water he just crawled out from. It widened immediately.

" Alvara!" He yelled and quickly dived into the water. His eyes spot Alvara struggling to swim out but due to the backpack she was carrying, the heaviness pulled her deeper into the water.

Drowning into the water, Hudson swarm up to her, wrapping his left hand around her stomach and using the other to swim out of the water. On getting to the dry land, he laid Alvara gently, removing the backpack she was carrying.

" Alvara" He called, tapping her cheeks gently. Placing his hands on her chest, he started exerting pressure on it. Alvara was already spilling out lots of water.

" Fuck she drank a lot" Hudson mumbled.

After making sure she was spilling out any more water, Hudson stared at her in eagerness, hoping she opens her eyes. But she didn't, his fear increased as his hands was starting to tremble but he breathed out, trying to calm his nerves.

He placed his hand on Alvara's forehead and titled her head back. He gently lift her chin and pinched her nostrils. Knowing what he was about doing made his heart beat hard against his chest. His nervousness increased and he felt a knot in his stomach.

" Calm down Hudson...calm down" Telling himself that, he covered Alvara's mouth with his breathing into it for about a sec before pulling out. Staring at her chest, he could see it rise a bit, giving him hope. He pinched her nostrils again and covered her mouth with his, breathing into it again before pulling out.

Alvara started coughing, making Hudson's eyes flashed in hope. She slowly opened her eyes and happiness ran through him. Opening her eyes to see Hudson smiling at her, Alvara jerked up.

" Wait a minute..." She mumbled, running her hands through her face.

" I'm alive...I'm alive!" She exclaimed happily making Hudson let out a slight chuckle.

" You thought you were gonna die?" He couldn't help but ask

" I was praying seriously for a second chance...I swear" Alvara heaved.

" Well once again...I saved your life" Hudson emphasized, sitting beside Alvara.

" So?" Alvara asked making him glare at her.

" So?" He scoffed in disbelief.

" I fucking...saved your life!" He half yelled.

" You owe me... handsomely"

" Listen Hudson, I never forced you to save my life. You did out of your own free will...so shut it" Alvara hissed with an eye roll. Hudson could already feel his blood boiling in anger

" You...are the most...ungrateful and arrogant being I've ever come across in my life" He breathed out.

" Well, thanks for the compliment" Alvara shrugged making him snort.

" Bitch" He mumbled.

" I heard that" Alvara reached out for the backpack which was wet, zipping it open. Luckily...nothing inside was affected.

" Thank heavens" She heaved before bringing out a baggy top and a shot. Standing, she started removing her already soaked top. Turning, Hudson's eyes widened on what she was doing.

" What...are you...trying to do?" He shuttered. Alvara ignored his question.

" Have you lost it?" He sprang on his foot immediately.

" Alvara stop what you're trying to do...I won't fall for it" He fretted, turning his back on her .

Alvara finally took off her cloth leaving her with only a singlet. She quickly turned Hudson to face her

" Fuck" Hudson looked away, embarrassed.

" I have told you so many times dude, you need to learn to relax your mind. It won't kill...not even a bit" Alvara said.

" Now if you don't mind...I'll like to change now" She added and Hudson backed her

" Too grumpy" He mumbled with a snort.

" You can turn now" Alvara said and Hudson turned. His eyes landed on her chest and they widened a bit. She wasn't putting on any bra, making her breast stand firmly on her baggy top. He quickly looked away.

" Here...change" Alvara there a top at him

" Wait...are these yours?" Hudson asked.

" No...my grandma's. Now put that shit on" Alvara snapped, turning his back on him

" You can turn now" Hudson answered. Turning z Alvara sat down on the rocky ground and Hudson did the same. Bringing out two packs of chips, she threw on at Hudson who caught it. They both stared at the huge sea before them, devouring the chips.

" I can't believe we lost our phones" Alvara scoffed.

" But come to think of it Hudson...this place isn't half to what I assumed it to be" She added, making Hudson turn his gaze to her.

" Me neither" He said.

" Where are we?" Alvara hummed.

" I know we're are Ina cave but where exactly are we; close to our quest or far from it? For how long have we been here?"" She questioned.

" I don't know, a day or two or probably weeks" Hudson replied making Alvara scoff.

" I don't think so. I'm not sure it's even up to a day since we entered this weird cave" She said.

" But I can but ask myself; How does this cave connect to what we're looking for? Is my dad and the rest of the brotherhood eventually lost here? Are they waiting for us to come and rescue them? Is there more danger ahead us?"

" Do you know the answers to these questions then?" Hudson asked.

" Nah. That's the worst part" Alvara scoffed.

" Well, I think you will find your answer if we continue or...are you planning on giving up already?" Hudson smirked, making Alvara scoff even the more.

" Not in a million years" She replied.

" But I have a question for you?" She added, her gaze still fixed on the sea as she shoved some chips into her mouth.

She finally turned her gaze to Hudson making Hudson raise a brow at her.

" Are you feeling any form of regrets coming with me?" Alvara asked making a faint smile form on Hudson's lips. He reached out for the backpack, standing as he hung it on his shoulder

" My turn to carry the backpack. We still have a long way to go" He grinned.

" And which way are we heading to?" Alvara asked.

" Follow me" He replied, heading to a passage way behind them. A chuckle left Alvara's lips as she trailed behind him.

×. ×. ×

Hudson and Alvara pulled a brake on their legs immediately. Right before them we're magnetic ( floating) rocks. The rocks lined in a row from the edge they were standing to across the other edge. But due to the magnetic field there, the rocks sometime swap which each other.

Hudson and Alvara looked down only to see an empty space with objects floating in air. Turning to each other in confusion,

" How are we gonna cross over?" Alvara asked.

" Should one of us cross over first?" Hudson inquired.

" Nah. I think that's a bad idea" Alvara objected.

" These are magnetic rocks and one thing I know about them is that, they don't move backwards. So if one of us cross over first...the other won't be able to come over" She explained.

" Both of us will have to cross over together...but how?"

Hudson was already rubbing an imaginary beard on his chin, trying to think of something. An idea came up.

" I think I have an idea" He exclaimed making Alvara looks at him.

" First of all, you have to promise me that you'll do whatever I ask you to. Is that a promise?" He asked, sticking out his pinky finger. Alvara only raised a brow at him.

" What's the idea first?" She inquired.

" Promise you won't object first" Hudson replied.

" I just don't...

" Promise?" Hudson insisted.

" Fine, promise" Alvara gave in, joining her pinky finger with Hudson's.

" Good. Now face me" Hudson instructed. Alvara turned facing him fully. Hudson stepping closer, covering the distance them.

" Now...place you hands on my shoulder" Alvara glared at him on his second instruction

" What for?" She asked with a frown.

" Just do it" Alvara reluctantly complied. Hudson placed his hands on her waist, holding firmly to it. Alvara's eyes widened and she glared at him.

" Trust me" Hudson spoke softly on seeing the anger on her face. Alvara's nerves relaxed a bit.

" Perfect. Now, whenever I count to 3, the both of us...in unison will step on to a rock. Whenever the rock we are on gets close to another one, I'll count to 3 and then we'll step over...understood?" Hudson explained and Alvara nodded in agreement.

" You're ready?" Hudson asked and their gaze locked. Alvara nodded a yes.

" Ok. One...two...three..." The duo stepped on to the first rock on the roll. Though the rock was shaking a bit, they both held on to each other. As the rock move over to the second one, Alvara made to look down,

" Don't look down Alvara, looks at me" Hudson instructed and their eyes locked once more. Seeing the assurance in Hudson's eyes made Alvara's nerves relaxed fully and she didn't why but she felt safe staring into them.

" One...two...three" They stepped on to the second rock. Staring intently into each other's eyes, the duo couldn't help but wonder what each other were thinking. Hudson's heart skipped when a smile formed on Alvara's lips.

" She looks more beautiful with that smile" He thought as a smile formed on his lips too

" Why can't w stop staring at her and why do I feel so happy doing it? Why did my heart skip seeing that smile on her face?" Hudson couldn't help but ask himself.

The last rock they were on banged on something, snapping the duo out. Looking down, they saw that they already reached the other end. They both stepped out.

" We did it" Hudson smiled.

" That was quick" Alvara smiled back.

" Shall we?" Hudson led the way. They entered another passage and darkness engulfed them with only the burning sticks fixed on the walls, giving them a little light. Stepping out of the tunnel, they both stopped.

Looking at where they were, one could see like up to six different doors opposing each other making a total of 12 doors with them in the middle. Right in the middle of each six doors was a crossbow with 3 arrows on it. On the right was a statue of an eagle hanging on the wall

" Where are we?" Alvara couldn't help but ask.

" I think we're lost" Hudson muttered.

" WHO DARE DISTURB MY EXQUISITE PEACE WITH THEIR PRESENCE...
