CHAPTER 14

AT THE SENTINEL SERVICE REGION HEADQUARTERS

Hudson and Alvara are dragged and pushed into a cell with the inhibitor still on their necks. They both sat on the floor, Alvara glaring angrily at Hudson.

“ What?” Hudson asked when he noticed her glares, making Alvara scoff.

“ Seriously…. You’re asking me that?” She said with an angry chuckle.

“ Alvara, I…..

“ You’re seriously asking me that when you know that everything happening is all your fault” Alvara snapped at him.

“ I didn’t…..

“ You know what…like I said before, pray we escape out of this place soon or else…..

“ What the hell is wrong with you Alvara, can’t you give me a break?”

“ At least let me explain why I dragged you into that room at the first place” Hudson yelled angrily at her .

“Explain?” Alvara scoffed.

“ Ok.. I’m all ears” She said.

“Listen. I know I shouldn’t have gone against the plan but do you expect me to see a bunch of Sentinel officers coming towards us and do nothing? Do you expect me to fight them when doing that will alert the others?” Hudson asked.

“ I had no other……

“ Just….cut that crap, Hudson” Alvara hissed with an eye roll. Hudson glared at her in surprise.

“ You don’t….. believe me?” He asked.

“ Who will seriously believe what you just said? If a group of Sentinels were approaching, how come only you saw them, cause I don’t remember seeing anyone?” Alvara asked.

“ I don’t know why you didn’t see them approaching. Maybe your mind wasn’t there but I’m sure of……..

“ Enough” Alvara snapped him off.

“ Keep your explanation to yourself” She said.

“ What?.........

“ Just pray Blink and Nova are ok” Alvara added, turning her back on him, making Hudson scoff angrily.

“ I can’t believe she thinks I made all of this up” He mumbled.

The cell flung open making Hudson and Alvara who were resting, their eyes close, open there eyes. Two Sentinel cops entered the cell, dragging them up.

“ Where are you taking us to?” Hudson asked.

“ Just shut that hole of yours and follow us” One of the cops snapped at him.

They both were given a skintight jumpsuit to wear. The jumpsuit hugged tightly on their body. And since it was used to measure their biometrics, it gave the Sentinels the accurate reading of their powers.

After changing to the jumpsuit, Hudson and Alvara were dragged into Lucan’s office. On seeing the two teenagers before him, bounded with a leash and inhibitor, a wild grin creep up his lips.

“ Wow, isn’t this Hudson and Alvara? I’m so happy to see you both……welcome” He said, clasping his palms together.

“ Where is Blink and Nova?” Alvara glared angrily at him.

“ Oh! Don’t worry about those two…. They’re perfectly fine” Lucan chuckled.

“ What do you want Lucan, why are we here?” Hudson asked with a hiss.

“ Oh! It’s a good thing you asked…..just what I wanted you to do”

“ And I’ll go just straight to the point” Lucan added.

“ You see, I only need one thing from you both, actually I mean…two things……” He began.

“ You see, luckily I figured out that the both of you are the great-grandchildren of Hunter Smith and Hayden. Which means there’s a 100% possibility that you both inherited that magnificent trait your great-grandfathers possess…… the Fenris Force” He said and the latter( Hudson and Alvara) lips parted as they stared at him in dismay.

“ I know you' both must me shocked as to how I figured out, right? “ Lucan asked like he read what was on their minds.

“ Well, it’s as simple as this; My grandfather who was also a Sentinel and a scientist dealt on your great-grandfathers case and eventually, he handed everything over to me” Lucan explained, getting up from his seat.

“ And so the number one thing I need you both to do is to show me what you’ve got” He said.

“ Take them to the indestructible cell, now” He commanded and the two Sentinels dragged Hudson and Alvara out. Opening the door of the cell, they pushed them inside the cell lined with ‘ Adamantruim’ ( an extremely rare metallic alloy)

Lucan entered almost immediately.

“ I’m sure you both are familiar with what this cell is made of, right? “” He asked getting a glare from Hudson and Alvara.

“ It was really hard to find it but luckily we found some in a defunct military in British Columbia” Lucan said, pointing at the walls of the cell made with Adamantruim.

“ Anyways, that’s a story for another day” He added before facing back to the two.

“ Now back to where we were. You both know how strong and indestructible Adamantruim is but…….. I need you two to destroy it by…. .you know…. .combining your powers” He explained but the latter glared angrily at him.

“ Oh Com’on, don’t be so adamant. Just give it all you’ve got, I know you both can do this” Lucas gingered but got a snort from them.

“ You’re wasting your time. We won’t do a thing like that” Hudson said.

“ You know I’m serious about this whole thing and I don’t care if you want to do it or not……you must do it” Lucan replied with a stern look.

“ We don’t care, we’re still not doing it” Alvara said. Lucan activated the inhibitor collar on her neck, sending electricity through her.

“Alvara” Hudson yelled as she shook vigorously due to the shock.

“ Now I believe you guys now know how serious I am” Lucan said and Hudson shot him a deadly glare.

“ What’s up with you? Whoever you are just let us go cause you won’t get a thing from us” He yelled angrily at him but Lucan shut him up by sending electricity through him too as he was already getting impatient with them.

“ Listen the both of you, don’t think I have all the time in the world, just do what I ask you to do” He snapped at them.

“ We ain’t changing our mind” Hudson said weakly, making Lucan let out an angry groan.

“ Bring the both of them in” He ordered and the door of the cell opened, revealing Blink and Nova being dragged in.

Lucan walked over to them, holding both of them at gunpoint.

“ Now if you both don’t do what I ask you to do, then……. I won’t even think twice before blowing off their heads” He threatened, making Hudson and Alvara gulp.

“ Hudson, Alvara don’t listen to him” Nova said.

“ But he’ll shot you both” Hudson muttered.

“ Just don’t listen to him” Blink replied.

“ I’m gonna count to 3 and you better comply” Lucan said and fear was already eating the latter up.

“One” Lucan counted.

“ Don’t do it Hudson, don’t listen to him” Nova insisted.

“ Two…..

Alvara and Hudson were now staring at Lucan and Nova in confusion, not knowing who to follow, their hearts beating hard against their chest in fear.

“ Hudson, Alvara” Nova called and they looked up at her, their eyes sending her a ' we’re hopeless now’ look.

“ Don’t……listen…to….

Nova didn’t finish her word as Lucan sent a bullet into her head and she slumped to the floor immediately.

“ Nova!!” Alvara, Hudson and Blink yelled in shock. A purple smoke exist Nova’s mouth and she slowly closed her eyes

“ No!” Blink yelled. Alvara and Hudson became weak on the feet as they stared at Nova’s lifeless body, their eyes widened in horror.

“ Now if you don’t what I told you to do then………. Blink will suffer the same fate as Nova” Lucan threatened in a serious tone.

Alvara and Hudson stared at each other still in shock before looking over to Blink who nodded a ‘no’ to them.

“ I’ll count to 3 yet again” Lucan’s voice made them turn their gaze to him.

“ One……

“ Two……

“Th…..

“ Fine we’ll do it” Hudson and Alvara exclaimed, their heads bowed in defeat. A satisfactory smirk formed on Lucan’s lips.

“ Good. Now that wasn’t hard, was it?” He asked.

“ If that’s the case, we’ll leave you guys to do your thing…

“ We’ll be watching you both from the laboratory” Lucan said.

“ Let’s go” He added and the officers dragged Blink out while Lucan followed suit.

Alvara and Hudson looked at each other.

“ We’ll have to do it” Alvara muttered sadly.

“ Through this we can destroy the whole building since that’s what that animal wants” Hudson mumbled in anger

Lucan and the rest studied them from the lab room which was just a room after the cell.

Exhaling, Alvara and Hudson interlocked their palms but this time around, their gaze locked, their eyes piercing through the other’s.

Their palms slowing started glowing and the both closed their eyes. With everywhere being dead silent to them, they started feeling everything around them, including the walls of the cell made of Adamantruim.

Their hairs started blowing upwards in a dramatic motion. The glow ran through their palms up to their whole body and they started glowing.

Turning and facing the indestructible walls of the cell, they flung their eyes which has turned to an intense glow, open. Stretching forth their hands, their palms wide open, the walls of the cell started glowing.

Slowly the glow became extremely intense that the man monitoring them through the monitor eyes widened.

“ Oh my God” He mouthed in awe.

“ Sir we’re reaching our sense limit....we need to stop them” He said to Lucan whose lips was already parted.

“ Unbelievable” He mumbled.

“ Keep monitoring them. They cell is indestructible” He managed to say.

Soon the lab room became hot and everyone inside was now sweating.

The glow increased it’s intensity that one could hardly see Alvara and Hudson. The windows and bulbs of the lab room shattered to pieces and the monitoring camera’s went off as the electricity of the building went cut.

Everywhere became dark and fear engulfed everyone including Lucan.

“ We need to stop them, they’re getting out if hand” Lucan yelled as the window continued bursting in pieces, stabbing some of the officers.

With the anger and rage in them, Hudson and Alvara let out a loud scream. Their scream dented the Adamantruim and the walls of the so called indestructible cell bursted.

The walls and the ground of the whole building started cracking.

The intensity of Hudson and Alvara’s scream reached the transformer which was at the extreme of the building and it started releasing high voltage as the electronic in the whole building caught on fire due to the high voltage.

The transformer too caught fire and soon…..it exploded and the fire started spreading.

A loud scream was heard as everyone, every officer started running out for their lives but unfortunately the ceiling of the building which was falling off landed on most of them.

Using the opportunity Blink yanked off the inhibitor on her neck and ran out of the lab room despite though the ground was vibrating violently and cracking, swallowing most people.

Alvara and Hudson quickly disengaged their palms and they slumped to the floor.

Looking around and seeing the destroyed wall of the cell, they quickly dragged their butt up.

“ We need to get out of here” Hudson said and they both ran out, heading to no where in particular.

“ Where is Blink?” Alvara yelled so Hudson could hear her since the building was collapsing and was one fire at the same time plus all the officers running for their dare lives.

“ I don’t know” Hudson yelled back.

They both kept running until they bumped into to Blink who handed them two guns.

“What are these guns for?” Hudson and Alvara asked.

“ Some robots are after us, let’s go” Blink replied. Alvara and Hudson turned and saw robots advancing towards them, despite the havoc going on.

Luckily for both of them, they already know how to use a gun. Cracking the gun, they started firing at the robots and still running at the same time.

The robots were also firing bullets at them as they dodged all of them.

“ What about the two mutants we came to save?” Alvara yelled asked.

“ They’re already outside” Blink replied and they headed outside.

Alvara held the gun on one hand, firing at the robots and used the other hand to create a shield, preventing some of ceiling which almost fell on them.

The fire alarm was ringing repeatedly as everywhere was in jeopardy.

“ Building exploding in 5…

“4……3……2………

Immediately Alvara, Blink and Hudson stepped out of the building…

“1….

A massive explosion was seen as the building exploded.

The heat and wave of the explosion was so intense that it sent Hudson, Alvara and Blink flying to the air and landed with their heads on the ground and…. black out....
