Elena kept mute not knowing what to say as Bonnie pressed further with her question.

"Elena, what did you see?" Bonnie asked again making sure Elena heard her question.

"There was this... This... " she kept mute not wanting to tell them the truth.

"Elena, are you thinking of a lie to tell us? Because you are hesitating as if you're trying to memorize a lie to tell us" Bonnie pushed further.

"Don't talk that way to her. Maybe she's just getting off the shock she just got into" Alex scolded as Bonnie backed away.

But deep down, Elena knew Bonnie was saying the truth. She was thinking of a lie to tell them, if she's thinking of carrying out her plan, she has to do it alone else they'll talk her out of it.

And right now, she no longer trusts Alex after what he did at their school rooftop, even though he tries to deny it, saying he didn't do that on purpose, she still doesn't trust him.

He changed after their last mission that has to do with Logan before Sarah's death.

"It's nothing... It's just that. The whispers I was hearing. I was scared so I went into the woods because the voice whispering my name comes from that direction" she said scratching her hair.

"So what were you able to find out?" Laura asked as she breathed down.

"I saw nothing. I went deep into the woods and got scared since it was getting dark. I was just scared" she lied and looked up at Bonnie who frowned at her.

Bonnie walked up to her and whispered something in her ear.

"You can fool them but you can't fool me. I know you're hiding something from us" with that, Bonnie walked away up the stairs to her room.

"I'd be turning in early. Tomorrow is Monday" Bonnie said.

"Since when did you start caring about Mondays?' Alex raised his voice.

"Since today," she said bluntly and slammed the door.

"Elena, are you sure you are Ok?" Peter asked squeezing her shoulders as she smiled and nodded.

"Yes I am, I'm fine," she said jerking away from her thoughts.

"Ok, you talked about bringing Sarah back to life since she is in a state of limbo, though that's what Grandpa thinks. How are we gonna do that before Emily carries out her threat?" Laura asked standing up from the sofa.

"I don't know, I was thinking maybe we could find something in her journal which my mom said was under the custody of the police," Elena said.

"Hmm, why would it be under their custody? Sarah has a home and they should take it to her parents" Alex said

"Yh, but that journal was found in the crime scene and since they are still investigating who killed her, it has to be there" Elena stated clarifying their thoughts.

"And even though the journal gets to the wrong hand, It's useless to them because her journal is encrypted," Peter said resting his back on the couch.

"Yh, you're right," Alex said as the door creaked open.

They glanced towards it as Mr. Crane walked inside the sitting room.

"Hi Mr. Crane," Laura said.

"Hey Dad" Alex breathed down.

"Good day, Mr. Crane," Peter said as Elena just waved at him.

"Hi kids. What's happening here? Why does Elena look wasted? Elena are you OK?" He asked squatting beside her observing how worn out she looked.

"Oh yeah, I'm fine. I'm fine. I'm just tired" she said standing up and staggering back.

"Whoa whoa. Easy OK?" Mr. Crane said supporting her as she smiled.

"I'm fine Mr. Bennett," Elena said with a smile.

"And they were about to leave before you got here," Alex said to his dad who became perplexed because of his sudden turn of behavior.

"We are?" Laura asked dumbfounded.

"Yh, go have some rest dad," he said pushing his dad towards his room as Peter shrugged.

"I'll escort you guys outside," Alex said to them as he escorted his dad to his room, carrying his police jacket.

Elena lay on her bed that night, facing the ceiling as she thought of what she saw.

"Was that cottage a love nest or something?" She thought out loud as she contemplated what to do.

She stood up from her bed, walked to her counter, and took a pen and a book that was there.

She started writing what she needed to complete the stuff she saw in the cottage. Though she has no clue who is trying to reach her from the other realm.

But what does the person want? Why her? She knows she had to do something about it.

She arranged her school bag and brought out the clothes she would put on to school the next day.

She carried some nuts and screwdrivers in her school bag and a water bottle. She's so going back to the cottage after she has succeeded in carrying out her plan in school.

She vowed to keep it a secret from her friends, if she wants to succeed, she has to do it alone.

Since her mom was on patrol that night, she walked out of her room and went straight to her mom's crime-restricted room.

She saw that her mom has been tracking the killer too but hers seemed different.

She took one of her mom's pistols and loaded it. Her breathing increased as she became scared, but then, no one would do it for her but herself.

She took the gun to her room and dropped it inside her school bag, laying back on her bed, she slowly shut her eyes.

Tomorrow's gonna be a long day. So she thought.

ON MONDAY MORNING

Emily alighted from her limo still making the call as her guards waited outside.

She walked to the council hall still making the phone call.

#---also heard you've been summoned by the council in a quest to know why you massacred the people at the grill" the other man at the receiving end said.

#"Yes, and I'm not scared of what's gonna happen. I'll go hear what they wanna say and I know they'll ask me to back down, but I won't because my mind has been made up already" Emily said and scoffed.

#"Your husband called me, I was wondering how he knew I was your accomplice," he said as Emily frowned.

#'What did he say to you?" Emily asked standing at the entrance of the hall, seems the other council members were there already.

#" He offered to double up what you paid me if I agree to back down," he said and stopped, hoping she would say something but she didn't so he continued.

#"But I refused because I've pledged my allegiance to you already" she nodded.

#" Good, I'll double up your money today. When I'm done with whatever meeting I'm gonna have with these crazy people, I'm going to wire the money to your account right away".

#" Thank you very much, ma'am. So should I and my guys start operations or we should wait for your signal?" He asked us some of the council members started walking into the hall as they greeted her with a nod.

#" Wait for my signal, I'll text you on what to do after I've seen the situation of things at the council meeting," she said before ending the call as she breathed down.

Zoe walked up to her as she whispered something to her ear, Zoe nodded and walked back to the car as she finally walked inside the hall.

One of the guards opened the door for her as she walked in.

Her gaze locked with her husband as she frowned at him, she peered around the hall, eyeing everyone sheepishly.

The sheriff wasn't there so was one seat empty and that seat seems to belong to Logan.

She bowed slowly to them as the Clerk directed her to go stand on the podium since she was the one summoned.

"The council has summoned you this day for the... "

"Just shut up and get straight to the point. I don't have time for bullshit, so cut the chase" Emily said eyeing the Clerk seriously.

"Ma'am please mind how you speak to the council members," the clerk said lowly.

"Emily you are taking this too far. And our daughter isn't the first to be killed in Mystic Hollow. Facing the locals won't solve anything at all" The Mayor spoke as there was murmuring in the hall, the Clerk called for order.

"Just shut up Frederick!" She yelled at him angrily.

"Emily! You have gone against the rules and regulations binding this town and you would be punished adequately for taking the lives of innocent souls in the town" one of the council members barked at her angrily.

"Oh just shut up Mr. Greg! You have no right to talk to me and guess what? This is just the beginning" she snarled at him.

"How about we apprehend her? She's made herself a threat to this town" one of the council members said out loud.

"I'm not objecting. She's truly a threat to the people we are trying to protect" The Mayor said seeing how things were getting out of hand already.

Emily giggled as she started laughing loud making the pitch sound irritating to them.

"You guys think I came here unprepared? Now listen up, if I don't leave here alive, I've given orders to my guards on what to do. They're gonna open gunfire here and make sure every soul in this hall dies. After all, I'm fully aware of how you all are" Emily hurled at them as they began to give each other a look.

"Don't mind her, she's bluffing" Frederick said when he found out the council members were panicking already.

The clerk walked to the window and peered through, seeing Zoe and the rest guards with guns, just waiting for Emily's signal.

"I don't think she is" The clerk whispered to the Mayor who stared at his wife only to receive a glare from her.

"Emily, we are not the enemy here. We are so sorry you lost your little girl. And we h--"

"Just shut up Mr. Greg! Don't talk about my little girl. But guess what, you all have made yourself my enemy" she said and turned to her husband.

"You know it would have been nice if you took our daughter seriously. But then, you behave as if it was none of your business. For Pete's sake Frederick! She's our damn daughter!" Emily yelled at him as she allowed the tears to roll freely down her cheeks.

"And I think I've overstayed my welcome here," she said and sniff.

She gave them all a look and they seemed to be panicking. She walked away stomping her heels on the tiles.

** You can carry out the plan now.

Emily texted her ally before finally walking out of the hall.

"What are we gonna do now? I think she meant every word she said" Frederick said fearing for the worse.

"I thought you said she was bluffing?" One of the council members asked.

"Yh, that's what I thought too. But I don't think she is" he replied seeming tired of the situation already.

"Well, she's your wife. You better handle this before she ruins our plans" Mr. Greg said to him sternly as Bellos ran his fingers through his hair and he seemed frustrated.

"I think I'm gonna call her dad," he said placing his left hand on his waist as he began to dial a number on his phone.
