Peter Walked to the stereo as he tuned it on. Side to side by Ursher and Pitbull started playing as they danced, sang along and prepare to make the masks.

They brought scissors, razors, glue, paint and Laura went to the Internet to search for some really cool masks.

"Guys check this out. How do you see it?" Laura asked staring at the screen, a picture of a mask.

"Ahh, I think the colour is too shiny" Alex said as they stared at the sky blue mask.

"But we can still make it black instead of blue right?" Elena asked.

"But it still looks childish. Seriously what's up with the feathers on the edges of the mask?" Alex still protested.

"I think he is right " Laura said as they stared at the mask.

"Ok then, let's see the next one" Elena said as Laura click the next button.

"Ah ah, this one looks too bad" Peter said as she click the the next button.

"Wait! This one is great" Bonnie said staring at the mask on the screen as Laura stopped.

"Nope. It looks like Barbie's" Alex said disqualifying it.

"That's it. Barbie is cool. Remember Barbie and the three musketeers?" Bonnie said excitedly as Alex huffed.

"Bonnie, this ain't babies stuff. We ain't Barbie trying to safe the prince or the castle, we are humans, trying to safe Mystic Hollow from a serial killer and we are so not doing the Barbie stuff. You get me?" Alex said squatting beside her so his height won't be intimidating to her thereby saving her the stress of stretching her neck to look up at him.

"Ok fine" she said breathing down.

"Guys, check this one out" Peter said interrupting Alex and Bonnie who stopped their conversation and glanced up at the screen.

"Ok, this one looks cool" Alex said as they looked at the mask which was red in color.

"But we'll make it black, since our outfit is black. Other colors are easily spotted in the dark" Elena said as they left the screen to get the mask ready.

They started with the job and they had to dispose lots of the masks because they were making it wrongly.

"Why can't we go to the mall and get the masks? Can someone remind me please?" Laura asked

"We never talked about going to the mall to get the masks, Laura. It's just one of your games to remind us we can go to the mall to get the masks instead of doing fruitless jobs here" Peter pointed out as Laura raised her hands up in the air.

"Ok, you got me" She said as they all laughed.

"Ok now, fun's over. Why can't we get the masks at the mall?" Laura asked again.

"Because we are like secret agents. We wouldn't wanna partake in any activity that'll give us away would we? For now we don't know what or who we are dealing with. Let's just keep all our activities secret and hidden" Elena said as they found meaning in what she said.

"What's the difference between secret and hidden?" Bonnie asked placing her hands on her hips.

"Ok you're right. There's no difference but either way, let's just keep it a secret" Elena said.

"Bonnie you hear that? You can't even blab to your friends at school ok?" Alex said to her as she nodded.

"So, since we can't get the masks at the mall, let's get on to work then" Laura said as she picked up a scissors again.

"I think we won't be able to make a good mask if we continue like this" Elena suggested.

"So, what do we do no?" Alex asked as they all stared at the scissors, blades, knifes, screw, rubber, cardboard, papers on the table as they breathed down same time.

"Why don't we search in the Internet how to make a mask huh?" Peter suggested as they stared at each other.

"Great idea!" Laura said standing up.

"I'll go make pancakes. I'm starving" she said as she walked to the kitchen.

"Me too!" The rest screamed back at her as they concentrated back on the screen of the monitor.

"So, let's get this done" Alex said taking her seat as they search for how to make a mask.

Laura made the pancakes and French fries at the kitchen while the rest made the masks.

When they were done, they all settled down at the dining to have their supper

"Later, we are gonna take these systems to Alex's room, we wouldn't want his dad to return from work and see them" Elena said as they agreed while having their early supper.

"And who would clean this mess we caused at the sitting room?" Bonnie asked as they all stared at it.

"Ohh, you're right. It's a whack" Laura said as they stared at it and nodded.

"I and Bonnie would work on it, Alex and Peter would transfer the systems to Alex's room while Laura would connect them there" Elena ordered as they agreed.

"Can't I and Peter clean the room?" Bonnie asked as Alex covered his face. He seem so tired of his kid sister.

"Because he is a guy and we need his manpower" Laura said touching her nose as she giggled and frowned Same time.

"If we are gonna continue like this to save the day, I think keeping those systems in my room is a bad idea, my dad do come to my room unexpectedly most times" Alex said chewing on his French fries.

"Ok, I think he has a point there" Peter agreed with him.

"How about the basement? We barely use it and dad rarely goes there too" Bonnie suggested as they agreed with her idea.

They were done with supper as they went on to work which they finished within an hour time. After which, they tuned off the stereo. It was 9pm already as Peter, Elena and Laura prepared to leave.

"You can sleep over. My dad won't be coming till tomorrow morning. He's on patrol today" Bonnie said to Peter as she held her hands while Alex, Elena and Laura stared at something on Elena's phone. Something that has to do with her ex, Bryan.

"Sorry, I can't stay and--"

"You didn't enjoy kissing Sophia right?" Bonnie said coldly as Peter arched a brow at her and released her grip from his hand.

"What's that for?" He asked as she smiled and blink back the tears from her eyes.

"Don't mind me, I wanted to tell you you didn't commend me for a job well-done. I did great right?" She asked with a faux smile as he breathed down and nodded.

"Yeah, you did absolutely great" Peter said as her faux smile broadened.

A knock was heard from the door as everyone kept mute.

"Are you expecting any guests tonight?" Elena asked Alex who was as alarmed as she was.

"Nope. None that I know of. Except Fay that forgot her shawl I guess" he said looking at the couch to find the shawl.

"I don't think it's Fay, Bonnie gave Fay the shawl already" Laura said stopping him from searching for it.

"Oh really?" He asked as he stared at the door.

"Then who might that be? Dad's on patrol and he would not be back till dawn" Alex pointed out.

"What if.. It's the killer that has trailed us here huh?" Peter asked as he became terrified because he knew the killer had seen his face twice.

Bonnie got fed up as the knocking on the door intensified so she walked to the door.

"Bonnie move away from the door this instance" Alex yelled at her as she opened the door.

"Dad!" Bonnie screamed as she jumped on her dad who carried her up.

"What took you so long to open the door" he said as he kissed her cheek while she giggled.

"We weren't expecting you to return till dawn since you were on patrol and we weren't expecting any visitor either" Alex said as Mr. Crane stared at his wrist watch, seeing it was 9:22PM.

"Good evening Mr. Crane" Laura said.

"Mr. Crane? Good evening" Elena and Peter said simultaneously as he finally dropped Bonnie on the ground.

"Good evening kids. How y'all doing?" He asked.

"We are fine" Elena said as he stared at his wrist watch again.

"Isn't it late? Hope you know Mystic Hollow ain't safe no longer, especially at night" he said as he walked to the kitchen to get a glass of water.

"We were just leaving Mr. Crane" Peter said as he walked out of the kitchen with the glass of water.

"Ok, be careful" he said before gulping down the whole content of the glass.

"Thanks, Good night" Elena said as he nodded.

"Good night kids" he removed his police jacket and dropped on the sofa which he sat next to and face palm himself.

"Alex, we are gonna discuss about the science project at school tomorrow don't forget. I've gotten lots of ideas" Laura said to Alex who nodded.

"Ok then. At lunch" Laura, Peter and Elena walked out while he escorted them.

"Good bye Peter. Good bye Elena and goodbye Laura" Bonnie said waving them bye.

"Good bye Bonnie" they said back to her simultaneously.

"I still can't believe I'll still have to do my project with Sophia Woods" Peter whined as they laughed at him.

Few minutes later, Alex returned to the sitting room as he sat near his dad, Bonnie was fast asleep on the couch.

"Dad?" He said to his dad who sighed.

"Why did you return early today? Was the patrol canceled? What happened?" He asked his dad who adjusted himself.

"It's the council, one of the members, Jeffrey Logan by name, had a fight with the mayor and they wouldn't disclose why. The sheriff said something bad might happened if we go for the patrol. I don't know but I think she suspects the mayor and the council that they are doing something illegal. So the patrol was canceled. She advised us to stay at home with our kids" Mr. Crane explained as Alex nodded.

"Hmm" he said as he stared at Bonnie's sleeping body on the couch.
