Chapter 34: Chapter 34
The main hall was lit by the reddish and silvery light of the two moons; three vampires conversed as if they were not immortal, but an ordinary family with too many secrets.
"So..." Luan puts his hand to his head as if he has a severe headache.
"Are you telling me that the ritual went wrong and you ended up married to him?"
"...Yes," Selene stammered a little as she spoke; she was nervous.
"..." Although Luan had heard the story several times, he still couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
"Well, daughter? Do you agree with that? I mean, sharing your partner with other people?" he asked again.
"..." Selene looks at her mother, then at her father.
"It bothers me, I get jealous just thinking that he’s with another woman besides me. I want to kill them and lock Lucien in a basement," she growls, letting her murderous intent slip out, and sighs, "But since Roxana and Sesha have been my friends for many years, I don’t really care that much. So many things haven’t changed."
Her feelings were sincere, and although she didn’t fully understand them, being with Lucien calmed her greatly; she felt very comfortable.
"..." Luan simply looked at his daughter: "What would have happened if it had been other women?" he asked cautiously.
Selene just smiled, a smile that said more than a thousand words. That never crossed her mind. Her darling with women other than her friends? It was a big "NO." If such a hypothetical situation occurred, she would kill all those bitches, those home-wrecking cats.
"How jealous..." Luan felt a chill run through his body; his daughter’s gaze was frightening. Although his expression darkens again. ’That lucky bastard is even married to Scarlet, all the more reason I have to kill him... damn, I hope the Vampire King gives me some luck to...’
"Yes, my love?" Luan asked with a forced smile.
"Can you tell me what you were thinking about a moment ago?" Liliana asked with a slight smile.
"Huh...? Oh! I wasn’t thinking about anything... yes, I wasn’t thinking about anything." He nods several times, trying to sound confident.
Liliana looks at her husband. "If you weren’t thinking about anything, why did you get nervous? Don’t tell me you were jealous of your daughter’s husband who has more women."
When Luan felt his wife’s gaze intensify as if it were stabbing him in every inch of his body, he made the wisest decision he could make in that situation.
"Oh, really? The rice is burning, I have to go put it out." He got up from the sofa and quickly ran to the kitchen.
When Luan no longer felt his wife’s gaze, he pressed his ear against the wall. Then he muttered, "Damn, how can my son-in-law be so lucky and unlucky at the same time? I wouldn’t be able to do something like that! One woman is already a problem, imagine having three more! No way!"
"Hiiii!" Luan shudders.
"I heard everything. We’ll talk about this tonight," Liliana delivered the final blow. Being vampires, all their senses are heightened.
"Ah..." Luan tries to say something, but lowers his head and goes up to the second floor, looking dejected, like a dog scolded for peeing on the carpet.
After her husband’s departure, Liliana is surprised to learn that her daughter has married the "cattle" and not only that, but Scarlet, one of the strongest vampires in the world, already has a partner. She cannot imagine the commotion this would cause throughout the supernatural world.
Although, knowing Scarlet’s personality, Liliana feels that she would be more than happy to take on all those problems... However, there is something that intrigues her quite a bit.
"Daughter, what blood type does my son-in-law have?" she asks, to clear up her doubt.
"Hmm, I don’t remember him saying that, he just said he had a strange condition called ’Black Blood,’ I don’t know if that should be called a blood type," Selene replies, confused.
"Black Blood?" Liliana repeats, equally confused.
"Daughter, did you just say... Black Blood?" Luan appears in a swarm of bats and looks at his daughter seriously.
"Yes," Selene confirms, not understanding.
"Pfft... HAHAHAHA!" He began to laugh like a madman.
Selene just looked at her father, wondering if that madman was right in the head.
"And to think... Pff... to think that this would happen to my daughter...! HAHAHAHA!" For some reason, he seemed very happy.
"Does Father know something?"
He stopped laughing for a moment and looked at his daughter and wife with a slight smile on his face: "Who knows? I’m quite old, I’m 2,000 years old; maybe I’m just crazy?"
"..." Selene is frozen (literally). It’s the first time she’s seen her father ; it was strange.
"I see, I understand, now I understand why Scarlet... HAHAHAHA!" Luan stops laughing and wipes away a tear of blood: "It’s been centuries since I laughed so hard."
"Honey, do you know something?" Liliana asks, incredulous.
"Me? Know something about it? I don’t know, my love... I really don’t know." His expression relaxes, and he says something his daughter and wife never expected to hear.
"I want to meet my son-in-law."
City of the Crimson Moon.
"I’m finally back," Roxana murmured, looking at the two moons in the sky; she would finally see her husband of a few days.
"The internet here is terrible as always," Sesha complained when she saw the signal was only at two bars; that was one of the reasons she stayed in the human world.
"Why don’t you hire a witch for that?" suggests Roxana, since witches’ magic is so useful.
"That’s a good idea." Sesha had already considered that... but there was one big problem: her family.
They don’t like her laziness one bit; once she returns, they will most likely put her through training. "Ugh..." Just thinking about it makes her want to go back to Earth.
"Yes, my lady." Thɪs chapter is updated by novel~fire~net
"Go find transportation to take us to Scarlet’s mansion, and also send a message to my family saying that I am there," Sesha orders.
"As you command, my lady." Kronii bows and disappears.
"What happened to your maid?" Roxana asks: the change was radical.
Sesha sighs: "It’s because we’re going back to the vampire world, and she wants to find a candidate for a husband," she replies in a bored and disinterested tone.
"You have a rather unique maid," was all Roxana could say about the peculiar maid.
"Lady Roxana?" Suddenly, a woman’s voice is heard behind Sesha and Roxana.
"Yes?" She responds instinctively; she sees a short woman with dark green hair, large breasts, and a maid’s uniform, approximately 5’5" tall.
"Lady Roxana, I’ve come to find you."
Roxana frowns; she doesn’t have a good feeling about this.
"It’s by order of the Vânt family leader," said the short woman with dark green hair.
"Fine... lead the way." Roxana reluctantly agrees, but she cannot go against the leader’s orders. ’Looks like I’ll have to wait a little longer to meet my darling.’
"See you later..." He says goodbye and follows his family’s maid.
Sesha just moves his arm lazily, watching Roxana disappear into the distance.
Shortly after, Kronii arrived with a carriage. Although Sesha, using her powers, could get there much faster, doing so would prevent her from playing during the journey.
’There’s nothing better than lazing around and playing a good game.’ She nods contentedly and climbs into the carriage.
City of Nocturnus, Scarlet’s territory.
"I’m finally here." Sesha steps out of the carriage and sees the entrance to the mansion, a large, old-fashioned door. "This is where my husband is. Scarlet’s tastes are as old-fashioned as ever," she remarks with a smile.
"This mansion remains as empty as ever," Kronii remarked. "I don’t understand how Lady Scarlet likes to live in such a desolate place."
"You haven’t changed one bit, Kronii. If you keep this up, you’ll never succeed," Kronii heard a woman’s voice say.
Sesha looks up and sees a woman standing there, with long black hair, blue eyes, D-cup breasts, and a height of approximately 5’8".
"Kanata, can you tell me where my husband and Scarlet are?" Sesha says in a tired tone.
Kanata approaches with a calm step: "They are training in the garden."
"Oh, thank you, can you show me the way?"
Suddenly, the air changes. An invisible pressure falls upon the place, dense and crushing, as if the sky itself had tilted.
Kronii and Kanata instinctively kneel, without understanding why; their bodies simply respond to a presence that transcends reason. They are not standing before a king... but before something much higher.
Sesha, on the other hand, does not bow down. She feels that force enveloping her, lifting her. Her chest swells with pride, and a certainty burns within her: she is not a subject.
’What is this feeling? What’s going on inside?’ Sesha looks at the mansion without understanding what is happening inside her.
