Chapter 35: Chapter 35
Melenia and Adele, seeing what Lucien has become, which was like a black substance where only his blood-red eyes and sharp teeth are visible.
Suddenly, they feel as if the world loses its color for a moment, and a strange feeling of servitude fills them from the depths of their being, as if they were at the forefront... They don’t know how to describe it properly.
Melenia fights the urge to kneel before this being and observes Walter, who is just like her, but better, although there is astonishment in his expression.
"So this is the way Sesha said it." Scarlet smiled broadly, ’No wonder he mistook him for Vlad’s descendant.’ But her eyes widen in surprise at what she sees happening.
Lucien, who has become that dark substance, has crimson eyes... although there weren’t many, there were eight.
"This really is a big surprise." Scarlet’s smile turned unnatural: "Well, how long are you going to keep me waiting, dear?"
Lucien wastes no time and attacks with all his might; a bloodstain appears on his hand, but he is met by Scarlet’s punch.
Lucien was suddenly thrown by Scarlet.
"Huh?" He went from confusion to amusement: "HAHAHAHA"
While in midair, he suddenly made a move. Lucien creates a platform of blood and launches himself toward the ground, causing Scarlet to attack like a rocket of blood.
The red-haired vampire smiled slightly as she fought using only her physical strength. Her fists created friction in the air due to their speed.
Lucien tried everything; he created blood spears and attacked from all angles, but even that wasn’t enough to make Scarlet budge.
What surprised him most was that she threw him into the air. He thought that in this form she couldn’t hit him, but he was wrong.
Small explosions can be heard when Lucien and Scarlet engage in combat.
"How is it possible that he has so much power, and every action he takes produces an explosion of power? He seems like a battery that contains a lot of energy and never runs out," Adele commented, observing; the feeling of servitude had disappeared when they began.
"But they seem to be having fun... especially Lord Lucien, who’s getting beaten up," Walter adds, watching as the garden is destroyed.
"Lord Lucien?" Melenia looks at him, confused.
"Yes, as Lady Scarlet’s husband, he must be addressed with respect," Walter says as if it were the most logical thing in the world and an important part of his role as butler.
Melenia looks at Lucien, her heart skipping a beat; a vampire who is not even 100 years old has so much power, as well as that strange form. Is this what they call an "anomaly"?
A few minutes later, Lucien was still fighting Scarlet and looked very tired. He had returned to his normal form.
Despite his fatigue, he radiated energy and could go on all day or longer. He looked like a child excited about his toy.
’...He’s improving too quickly... In fact, is he making fewer useless moves? As far as I can remember, he never fought,’ thought Scarlet as she put her hand to her chin and followed his movements with her eyes.
She had been watching Lucien for quite some time... and the movements he was making now were sharper, with fewer wasted movements. He was learning at a terrifying speed, which made her smile widen.
’I’ve seen enough, it’s time to wrap this up,’ Scarlet sees Lucien’s big, amused smile and understands that feeling, because she used to be the same way. "Darling, I think it’s my turn to attack now."
After saying that, she makes a move, Lucien opens his eyes at that display of speed, then hears Scarlet’s voice.
When he tried to turn around, he was met with a series of punches, to which he was unable to react in the slightest, followed by a kick that sent him flying into the air.
Lucien tries to steady himself, but Scarlet is already behind him. She brings her hands together and hits him hard. The most update n0vels are published on novel-fire.ɴet
"Puaj...!" Lucien spat out a mouthful of blood as he crashed to the ground with a dull thud. He felt several bones break at once, as if a symphony of cracks were exploding inside his body.
The ground beneath him cracked, sending up dust and fragments of stone.
His vampiric regeneration kicked in immediately. Flesh reassembled, bones fused, but the pain... the pain remained unbearable, vibrating through every nerve.
Even so, he wasn’t going to lie there. He wasn’t going to be a punching bag.
He had to land at least one blow.
Lucien slowly sat up. A crackling sound echoed around his body; red lightning twisted across his skin like electric snakes.
He bent his legs, and the ground cracked beneath his feet.
The air roared as he passed. His body cut through the wind with such force that it left a trail of incandescent friction around him. For a second, he looked like a red spear ascending toward the sky.
But before he could counterattack, something struck his chin.
Scarlet appeared in front of him in a flash, her silhouette bathed in the light of the two moons. Her leg rose in a perfect arc and struck him with such precision that his neck cracked.
Lucien barely had time to process it before feeling the next blow: a direct punch to the stomach that doubled him over, followed by a downward kick that sent him crashing back to the ground.
Lucien falls again. As he tries to get up, Scarlet appears beside him with an amused smile and says, "That’s it for today. Rest while I prepare a suitable place for your training."
"Whatever you say, dear, but he couldn’t even land a blow on you." Lucien is frustrated. He realizes how far he is from his wife in terms of hand-to-hand combat, distance... she surpasses him in everything.
"Hahaha," she laughs amusedly: "Darling, I would have given you at least one blow, I would have to replace everything I’ve done so far, and don’t forget, you’re just a newborn vampire, you have plenty of time to improve."
"I know, but that doesn’t make it any less frustrating..." he says with a sigh. It was just as she had told him from the beginning: he was beaten one-sidedly.
"Bite, so you can recover," she said, showing him her arm. He nodded and bit down, tasting the delicious blood and feeling his body regain its strength.
Scarlet gives him a loving look and smiles calmly. When she feels it is enough, she withdraws her arm.
"I’m going to prepare something interesting." She turns around and leaves.
"Uff..." Lucien collapses on the floor, completely exhausted.
