Chapter 41: Chapter 41

"What do you want?" I panicked, trying to shift back as he approached the bed. He ignored my question and leaned closer to me.

"Such a beautiful thing," his hands shot to my hair and I hissed as he dragged it.

"Please what do you want?" I asked, gulping loudly. He grinned deeply as he shifted back.

"We may want something but sometimes cannot get it. I am lucky I get what I want," he paced down the room and I just stared at him in confusion.

"I don't understand," I croaked out and he sighed as he sat on the edge of the bed.

"How do you know my name!" I manage to shout after the brief silence.

"I just need you to calm done, Laura," he said.

"Calm down? How can I calm done when you--, wait you are going to rape me again aren't you?"

"No honey! I wouldn't dare hurt you. Never ever," he assured but I didn't believe him at all.

"Then why am I here?" I asked trying not to show my trembling body.

"I'll told you to stay calm," he dragged his finger on my cheek but I shifted.

"It's for a good reason. A very good one, it will benefit you and me," he said.

"And what is that?" I asked. I'm still not comfortable with him.

"Well, it's not much a big deal. You just have to get married to me," he said casually.

"What?" I screamed and started struggling.

"Please don't do this to me!" I cried and he shushed me.

"I am not going to touch you... Not only we are married of course. This is the life you and I want and deserve," he explained as tears blurred my eyes.

"I'm still young," I sniffed and he sighed.

"It's either you get married to me or I take you before marriage," he hissed and I cried.

"Please let me go. I won't tell anyone. Please don't ruin my life," I cried but he ignored me and stood up. He walked towards a window and leaned on it, looking outside.

"I have been watching you ever since you left here to the orphanage. I watched how you made friends and enemies," he sighed.

"I guess, you weren't a good friend to them that they sold you out," he chuckled darkly and I squeezed my face in confusion.

"What friends? Nelly?" I asked but he just stared at me.

"No! Rachel and Tammy," he replied.

"What? That's imposi-- No!" I cried. I know that they haven't been the best of friends but what came into their minds to treat me this way.

"Yes! Anything is possible," he answered.

I sat on the chair in the big dusty coloured room. My knees were held tightly close to my chest.

I still couldn't believe it. I couldn't! I know that they hate me but did it reach to that level? I never expected this from Tammy at all. Rachel may be excused a little but Tammy? No!

Why would they do such a thing, just because of a boy. A boy over my life, my freedom!

I am probably never going to see my friends again. I'm going to miss Katherine's gorgeous smile, Luke's goofy attitude, Sandra's cooking, Nelly's humor, Emma's and Harper's bickering, Ricky's blabber mouth and Max confidence.

Most of all, I am going to miss my Gabriel. My only love! Gabriel!!! His smile, personality, handsomeness, humor and advice's.

I love them all! I'm not sure that I will see them again! I don't know what to do except to cry. All my friends, Cody?!, Francesca. I'll miss them too.

I tries to cry silently but it didn't work. My wrists hurt and are filled with bruise from struggling.

"Laura!" The man called, I haven't asked of his name yet.

"I want you to meet my son," he smiled and I nodded.

He faced the door and it opened gently. I was just thinking about his wife!

"This is Cody. I believe you already know him!" He smirked and I gasped.

"Hi Laura!" Cody waved innocently. He is his son. He wasn't really my friend. Do I have real friends? I wanted friends so bad that I didn't hesitate to accept anyone. I'm so foolish!

So naive.
