*Third Person Point Of View*

Gabriel rushed back with a slightly faint speed. He wanted to get to Laura quickly before she got a hint of his surprise.

Yeah, a surprise! Her birthday was coming up in a week time and he was prepared for it. All the grand gestures were to keep her mind out of it.

Slowly, he approached the spot he left her a few minutes ago. The sight before him didn't make sense. He felt like crying.

Where is the Laura that I left here? He thought and panic.

Looking at the scene he already knew what happened..

Her ice cream was scattered on the ground, her phone shattered and a piece of cloth roughly laid on the floor.

He sucked in breath and walked closer to the item. Swiftly pulling it up, he froze at the situation.

He looked at the item with confusion and anger. Right there was written boldly and clearly, "Your beloved shall never be seen by you again! I'll make sure of that" that was the answer to his question. The answer that he feared. Laura had been kidnapped!!

Confused, he looked around. How could someone kidnap her without being seen? He thought but looked again.

How could he have been so dumb. Why did he leave her alone, at a place were people hardly passed. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! But his ranting couldn't bring her back. It's not like she's dead or something but he...

He regained himself and the first person he called was Mr Howard.

Mr Howard was handling some documents when the call came through. Him being a busy man glared at the phone, but quickly answered, not even glancing at the caller's name.

"Please who is this and how can I he--" he didn't finish his sentence before Gabriel cut in. Gabriel knew that he was busy but it was an emergency.

"Mr Howard...I..Laura....someone." he couldn't talk or think straight. He didn't want to believe it but it was true.

"What happened Gabriel, you are not making any sense," Mr Howard pointed out.

Gabriel noticed this and he tried to calm himself down. When that was possible he spoke up, "I think Laura has been kidnapped," he explained and Mr Howard screamed with shock.

"What?" His voice boomed. Want did they want with her. If it was money he would give them, anything at all.

They discussed about telling the police. Of course, it wasn't a normally discussion. They were both tensed.

Gabriel was still standing in the crime scene. He slowly shoved the item into his pocket and ended the call.

He sighed as he raked his hair and swiftly walked away. He was literally tearing apart.

Meanwhile, Mr Howard was explaining the events to the police on the phone. They were to arrive in a few minutes. He wanted them at his home that instant.

He stopped on his track when he headed a large thud.

Katherine came rushing in, "Dad I have a feeling that something is wrong with Laura."

"I had a conversation with her and she left me hanging. I heard some cracks and shuffling sounds. I'm really scared," was all she could utter.

Right then, he knew that it was really true. He was terrified as well....

*Laura Point Of View*

My back stung as my eyes blinked open. I glanced around in pain. My back hurt a lot!

It took me some time to process the situation and where I was.

"Where am I?" I panicked as I looked around. The room was dark and cold. A few furnitures were present, maybe more. I couldn't see much. I didn't even know that I was tied to a bed until I looked down.

I tried to squeeze my hands out of the rope that was holding me back. I knew it wasn't going to work but I had to try....

My ears poked out when a heard a screeching sound and my eyes followed the sound.

I watched as the door cracked open and closed immediately a figure walked in. I couldn't see his face at all, that's how dark the room was.

The figure moved to the corner of the room and before I knew it. The light stunned my eyes. It took me some time to recover but once I did, I was staring face to face with.....him!

"It can't be..." I stuttered and he smiled. "Hello Laura," he replied smugly and then inhaled.

I was behind shocked, standing right in front of me was the man who raped me. I will never forget that night! I remember now...

"Did you miss me?" He asked but this time he had this evil glint in his eyes.
