Laura pov

I woke up late the next day, and was pretty mad that the girls didn't wake me.

Oh, they are mad at me.

The room was empty, they all left me.

Immediately Rachael walked in laughing.

"Is it not the two faced rat, I heard what you did and you did great by the way," She smirked.

"Look if you have nothing better to say please leave."

"Okay, I am leaving anyway," She laughed again as she walked at the door.

I sighed and got ready for school.

For the first time, I went alone to school, went to class by myself and was about to eat lunch alone before I sighted them from a distance.

They were talking with Nelly.

"The BBB's are really getting on my nerves," Tammy said and I hopped in.

"Perhaps, we should make our own group and teach them a lesson, let's call it TMCPLN or something," I smiled while they all stared at me.

"That will be cool," Christy said but Patricia nudged her and she kept quiet immediately.

"Well that's awesome but why did mine have to be at the end," Nelly said and I smiled.

At least she's talking to me!

"What's wrong with you, we aren't talking to her remember," Tammy said.

"She didn't do anything wrong and I can talk to anyone I like," Nelly said and she glared at her.

"Suit yourself," Tammy said as they walked away.

"Sorry about that," She said and I nodded.

"So tell me your own part of the story," She smiled.

"Huh?"

"You know that everyone have their part to share and I've heard hers let me hear yours," She said and I nodded and told her everything.

"Then you aren't guilty, don't mind her, she gets like that sometimes it's just a matter of time, she'll be back," She said and I smiled.

I hope so!!

"For now you got me here," She said grinning from ear to ear.

Gabriel pov

"Hey gab," Ricky said and I huffed.

"Ok, stop calling me that," I rolled my eyes.

"Why would I?" He asked and I ignored him.

"Why can't you just be like Max," I said.

"No, thanks mom," He said.

"And beside he's too quiet," He added.

"And more responsible that you," I laughed.

"That aren't true," He huffed.

"Ok, you guys should quit the praising me for my good attitude and let's go for lunch," Max said.

"And he brags more than me," Ricky said and we laughed.

"What did you say?" Max asked with a glare

"Nothing," We said, trying to hold our laughter.

We walked into the cafeteria and sighted a free table.

"Why are you quiet all of a sudden?" Max asked.

"Nothing," I shrugged.

"Wait don't tell me it's because of that girl that you went out with," Ricky laughed.

"Her name is Laura," I snarled.

"Seems like someone's in love," Max winked.

They are so annoying...

"I am not in love," I said.

"Are you sure?" They asked and I nodded.

I'm not sure!

That's the truth.

"Did anything happen?" Ricky asked.

"Well, I kinda kissed her," I smiled.

"What?" They screamed and I used both of my hands to cover their mouths while looking around.

"What is wrong with you guys, do you want to draw attention?" I said as I removed my hands from their mouths.

I didn't dare to look back because I could feel them staring at us.

"We draw attention everyday because of our good looks," Max said and I sighed.

"I know!" I hissed at him.

I'm handsome, I know but can they just stop telling me that, I don't want to end up loving myself.

"Hey guys," I heard and I looked up to see Racheal.

Why can't she leave me alone.

I'm sick and tired of her.

"Hey Gab!" She sat down and winked strangely at me.

Okay!

She gives me the creeps.

"I gotta go..use the bathroom" I said and turned to leave leaving my friends who were giving me pleading eye signs.

I got pity for them already!

Where to sit next that she won't find me!

I looked around, ignoring the stares from girls which makes me feel awkward.

My eyes almost popped off of it's socket when I saw Laura sitting on a table not to close from me.

My knee buckled up and I found myself walking to her table. She was laughing with a girl I have never seen before.

"Hey, can I sit here?" I asked nervously.

I don't get why I am always nervous when am with her!

"I am fine..I mean yeah," The girl sitting with her said and she nodded.

One of my admires I guess!

I didn't ask her but I do love her answer.

I looked back at the guys and Racheal I know she's bugging them, thank goodness I'm out and she won't see me from here anyway.

"I'm Nelly," The girl said.

"Nice name," I smiled.

"Thanks," She blushed.

"So about yesterday," I turned to Laura, "I am really sorry," I added.

"Nah, it's okay," She smiled.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!

Love that smile.

Did I just say that.

Yeah I did.

"Haha, who wouldn't do that?" The girl err- Nelly said.

Ok, am confused did she tell her what happened.

"And what is that?" I asked.

"She kissed you right?" Nelly said.

"No, I kissed her," I said.

"What?" i heard screams and we all turned to see Racheal standing close to me.

How did she find me!

"You kissed this two faced rat, I thought she kissed you, how could you," Racheal yelled and the cafeteria was filled with murmuring.

"You aren't my mom and I can kiss anyone I like," I said and everyone gasped including Laura.

Laura stood up and was about to leave but I held her back.

"Where are you going," I asked ignoring the murmurs.

"Anywhere from here, please don't follow me," She said and pulled her hand from mine and walked out of the cafeteria with her friend.

I stood up and found my way to the guys and hurried them up.

"We didn't even eat, us coming here was in vain!" Max said as we walked out of the cafeteria ignoring Rachael's call.

That's right!

I haven't eaten lunch.

Well that's the least of my worries.

I gotta find Laura and explain everything to her.

"Sorry Gabriel," They said and I nodded.

Laura Pov

"Ok, why are you running away?" Nelly asked.

"Look I am not just in the mood for talks," I said.

"I am gonna keep bugging you till you tell me," She smiled.

"I got into a fight with my friends because of him, and now I'm gonna get into a bigger one with the whole girls in this school and the worst of all Rachael," I sighed.

"Oh, I get it," She said, "And I am jealous of you right now," She added.

"You don't need to be, we are just the same" I said and the bell rang and we walked to class.

"So what are we gonna-"

I froze immediately I saw Gabriel and Tammy in the same class with the girls.

"We better get a seat," Nelly said as she dragged me to a seat.

"It's not close to Gabriel or Tammy" She said and I nodded.

I am feeling pretty uncomfortable with the way Gabriel, Tammy and everyone else is staring at me.

Especially Gabriel, everyone turned forward and started murmuring.

I wonder why?

"Look who's here," Nelly said and I turned forward to see Racheal.

"Is she following me or something?" I asked no one in particular.

"She's following Gabriel," She said and Racheal gave me deadly glares before heading to a seat close to Gabriel and his friends.

"That proves it," I muttered and bowed my head.

When will the teacher come in?

I am getting bored already.

I started hearing footsteps and I raised my head to see and guess what I saw guys.

It was Gabriel and he was coming my way, he came closer and sat on the desk close to me.

I didn't even know that it was empty..

I'm doomed.

I looked around and caught Rachael huffing and staring at me angrily, Tammy sending me glares and some girls gossiping.

"What are you doing here?" I asked without looking at him.

"I just need to get away from her and this is the only free chair," He said and I looked around and he was right, it was the only free chair except his.

"Oh," I said and bowed my head once more.

"Can we talk?" He whispered.

"Maybe later," I smiled.

"Let's start our lesson," I heard and looked up to see the teacher and a guy walking in.

He walked to Gabriel's former seat and sat there.

I just watched Rachael pout and I laughed inwardly.

We started lessons and I caught Gabriel staring at me several times

"Ok, what's up with you," I snapped.

"What you mean?" He said playing dumb.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" I asked and my voice echoed in the whole class.

I slowly turned forward and caught the teacher staring at us.

Oh no!

"Please stand up," She said and we obeyed.

"Can you two tell the class what you were discussing," She said

Simple!!

"Nothing," I smiled.

"I heard you yell what were you talking about," She said sternly.

Ok, does she have to be boring and mean.

"It's nothing ma'am," Gabriel said and I glanced at him.

"You think you're smart right? Ok if you answer my question, I'll let you go but if you don't you'll serve the penalty," She said and I swallowed saliva.

It's all Gabriel's fault!

"What's the meaning of specter?" She asked.

I think I know this one!

Thank God it wasn't a hard one.

"Specter is a threatening mental image or a ghostly apparition," I said and she looked amazed.

"You can sit," She said and I smiled as I sat.

"Since your friend said the word, do you mind telling me the meaning of apparition?" She smiled and I knew Gabriel couldn't answer it judging by the look on his face.

I gotta help!

"But I answered the question already," I said.

"It's his turn," She said.

"No, it's not," I said standing up.

"I am the teacher here," She said.

"And I look up to my teacher, obey and appreciate you," I said.

"Are you mocking me?" She asked as her eyes narrowed.

"I am not, I'm just making a point here," I said.

"Please seat and you meaning please," She said to Gabriel.

"Don't answer anything, Gabriel," I said and she arched her brows.

"You just disobeyed," She said.

"I didn't, you said that I'm gonna ask 'you' as in singular not 'us' as in plural a question not 'questions', so you're gonna against what you said and you should know that in English we always follow the meaning of our words and a teacher like you can never make mistakes in this little things, or can you?" I said and smiled at myself.

I just caught her.

That look in her eyes says it all.

Laura 1, Teacher 0

"You both can seat," She said and I smiled.

"Thank you ma'am," I said as we both sat down and the class was filled with gasps.

The student just schooled the teacher.

"English class isn't bad after all," I smiled.

"Thanks for the save and sorry for the trouble," Gabriel said and I nodded.

I am so loving this class.

School was over and that was the first day I was going to school alone and also going back alone, can the day get any worst.

"Nelly, we should get going," I said.

"I'm sorry, I am not going back to the orphanage now, you should go without me," She said and I nodded as she walked away.

I just had to say that.

"Hey!" I heard and I flinched.

"What?" I turned and froze on my track with I saw it was Gabriel and his friends.

"Maybe we can go together," He said and I smiled.

"I'll be fine," I said and moved a little bit far from them.

"Waiting for a bus?" He asked.

What now!

"Yeah, me and the girls normally take the bus back home," I said.

"But since they aren't talking to me and Nelly is not going back now I am going alone," I added.

"Oh, is it because if the kiss stuff," he said and I nodded.

"Sorry about that but right now, no bus will be passing, so it's better we walk," He smirked.

"I'll wait," I said.

"Don't be stubborn, and I owe you twice for saving me in class and putting you in the trouble in the first place," He said.

"Do I have a choice?" I asked.

"No, you don't," He smiled.

"Okay, I'll go, but you owe me thrice, plus the kissing problem thing," I smiled and he nodded.

"Okay, I have to eat let's go already," The one with the dirty blonde hair said.

"You just love to eat, Ricky," The one with dark hair said.

I guess, I know one of their names.

"My bad, these are my friends Ricky and Max," Gabriel said and I smiled.

"Pleasure to meet you," They smiled at me.

They are nice!!

We started walking home, the two boys were at our fronts while me and Gabriel were behind them.

"Why do you call the orphanage home," He asked.

"Because it's my home," I said.

"It's quite different," He said.

"It's the only place I got, and where my family was but now they all act like jerks to me," I said.

"I am sorry," He said.

"It's still my home anyway, and I adapt quickly," I said.

"I would like to apologize for the kiss," He said.

"It's okay, I guess," I said, nervously.

Okay, why am I nervous all of a sudden.

"I just needed to get that off my chest," He said and I smiled.

"We better walk faster before those two leave us behind," He said looking at his friends.

"Hunger can make people do the craziest things," I said and we laughed.

"You know, you'll be a great lawyer one day," He said.

"What?" I asked.

"What you did in the class today, you acted like a lawyer," He chuckled.

"Well, I don't want to be a lawyer," I said.

"Oh, then what do you want to be?" He asked.

"I don't know," I said.

"Well, law subjects are great, except for history which is boring," He said, pushing his head back as he rolled his eyes.

"History isn't boring, it's educates you on what happened in the past," I said and he smiled.

"See what I said, you should be a lawyer," He said and I smiled too.

"Thanks for the suggestion, I'll think about it," I said.

"You're welcome senorita," He winked at me and I looked away hiding my flushed cheeks.

I think...

I just blushed because of Gabriel.

After some minutes of walking, we arrived home and this time I walked him to his door and his friends ran in to get food and I just can't stop laughing.

"Thanks for lifting up my spirit," I said smiling broadly.

"You're welcome," He said as he kissed my cheek and I was transfixed at the spot again.

"Call me if you need anything," He said and I nodded unconsciously.

I regained myself when he was out of sight.

I happily strolled to my room and walked in but was stunned when I saw someone else laying on my bed.

"Oh, you're here,"vTammy said as she stood up from her bed and came closer to me.

"Sister, please meet our ex sister and ex room mate," She said to the girl.

"What do you mean by ex room mate?" I asked confused.

"Well, we requested for a new room mate and Miss Malika happily agreed," She said.

I didn't think that woman could ever be happy.

"What?"

"Here's your luggage," She said as she wheeled a luggage to me.

"And your room is upstairs, the first room on your right, it's simple, it's after to the staircase, you're lucky that's Nelly's room, you both can now be close to each other," She said

"I know that you're mad at me but you know that I didn't kiss him so there.. "

"I know that you didn't kiss him first but you definitely kissed him back when he kissed you," She huffed.

"No, I didn't," I said.

"Just stop pretending," She said.

"You probably made him fall in love with you when you went on a date with him," She insisted.

"I think you should leave, remember it's our room and we can send you out," Patricia said and I slowly walked out sadly.

I can't believe that just happened..

I followed the instructions she told me and finally arrived at the door.

I walked into the room and sighted four beds but two were taken while the remaining two were vacant.

Great!

This room has only four beds.

The room was painted in white, unlike the other room that was all pink.

There were small designs on the wall and it added beauty to the room.

This room is the fanciest and most beautiful of them all.

The colour made the room more lively.

"That's your bed," One of the girls said, pointing to a bed, they were both looking at their phones.

I walked to the bed that she pointed and started to arrange my things in the wardrobe close to my bed.

I can't believe everything is white.

The sheets, the bed itself, even the wardrobe and everything else.

The empty bed is probably Nelly's.

And I just can't believe that this is my new room.

I'll try to adapt faster I guess...
