Chapter 12: Chapter 12
Laura POV
"Gabriel, why don't we take a break," I said, tired of seeing him play.
I am not a basketball fan at all.
"Okay sure, we'll see later," He winked at me.
Okay, weirder than I imagined.
I walked back to where the girls were before but didn't see them.
"So how did it go," Tammy said behind me.
"I never had the time to tell him about you," I said playing with my fingers.
"Nut not all is lost, he asked me on a date and that's where am gonna tell him all about you, great plan right!" I said and and her jaw fell open.
"What? Are you crazy.. Do you know what I.. " She yelled but Maddy covered her mouth before she could say anything.
"You shouldn't have accepted Laura," Maddy said.
"I didn't think it that way, it's just to make him fall in love with Tammy and besides I don't even like him," I smiled and she slowly pulled her hand off Tammy's mouth.
"But what if he turns out liking you," She said.
"He won't and I would make a big fool out of myself if he would," I said and she dragged me into a hug.
"Thanks sister," She said and pulled away.
"Okay, is it just me or are you girls unusually quiet," I folded my arms.
"We just don't have anything to say in your conversation," Patricia said.
"Okay," I said.
"Now let's go explore the gym!" Christy screamed.
Right now, I am in my room and the girls are looking for a dress for me.
"Something to remind him about me," Tammy said and I rolled my eyes.
"You'll order a chocolate cream pie, if he takes you to a restaurant," She said.
"Where will he get the money to pay from," I asked.
"Our allowance," She answered.
"How come I never got mine," I said and she glared at me.
"Sorry," I smiled.
"By all means do not let him kiss you, I repeat do not let him kiss you," She said and I nodded.
"Yes ma'am, ma'am!" I saluted and she rolled her eyes while the girls giggled.
The knock on the door interrupted our little scene.
"Come in," Maddy said and surprisingly Gabriel walked in looking dashingly handsome.
"Are you are ready?" He asked and the girls froze.
"Yeah," I said.
"You look beautiful," He said and I tried not to blush and covered with a big smile.
"Can you wait outside please, she'll be out in a jiffy," Tammy said as she pushed him out and slammed the door.
"That was rude," I smirked.
"It's not rude just a protective measure," She said.
"Okay," I said pretty confused.
"He's waiting, let me go," I said and walked out to the door.
"We'll be watching," Tammy whispered and I nodded and walked out.
"Took you long enough," He smiled.
"Sorry," I said.
"It's okay, I was just pulling your legs," He said.
"Okay... " I said really confused.
Tammy and Gabriel are really meant for each other.
I didn't know that we're allowed to go out until today.
He took me to the park and Tammy trailed behind us, not wanting to be seen by Gabriel.
"Maybe we should just go to a restaurant, I don't want us to get to far from the orphanry," I said and he nodded as we sighted a restaurant and walked in.
I looked around to see Tammy as we sat down but didn't see her.
She might have gone back.
"So tell me about yourself," He said.
"I am 13, I hate liers and-" I was saying but was interrupted by his laughter.
"What's so funny," I said a little pissed.
"Sorry, it's just how you looked like when you said that," He laughed and I stared at him.
Jerk!!
What's so funny.
"And every human lie so you can lie too, so stop hating liers cause you might be one," He said seriously this time.
"I'm happy you're not a lier, thanks for the truth," I smiled.
"You're welcome," He said and held my hand, squeezing it tight.
I slowly removed my arm not because of the pressure but because it felt weird and I didn't want Tammy to see it, if she was lurking around.
"Now it's your turn to tell me about yourself," I smiled.
"Okay then, beauty," He said and I didn't know when I blushed.
"I was six when my parents died, none of my relatives came to get me so I was taken by the orphanage," He said sadly.
"Oh, I am sorry, it must have been hard losing your parents," I said.
"It's okay, I'm over it," He said but I know he's not.
Like he said everyone is a lier.
"I never knew my parents, just grew up alone," I said.
"I am so sorry, not knowing them is the worst of all," He said.
"What do you mean?" I frowned.
"After loosing my parents I felt nothing but pain, they had already died so I couldn't do anything about it, but just remember the good old days, but you don't have anything to remember at all and that's sad. I'm really sorry if I brought back memories," He said and I smiled.
"It's okay, I don't even have any memories about the past, just memories of now," I said and he smiled.
We changed topic and continued with our chatting.
It was time for us to go because it was getting late and I didn't like staying out late.
"I totally forgot to get your number," He smiled.
"Oh, me too," I said as I handed him my phone and took his.
"Maybe we can take a photo together for each of our contact," He said and I nodded.
He came close to me and we took a photo together in each of our phone.
"Your phone is too boyish," I said.
"I'm a guy," He smiled.
"Your phone is too girlish," He said.
"Im a lady," I said and we laughed as we trailed back home.
We arrived and he insisted on walking me to my room saying that's where he picked me up, so he gotta drop me off there.
"Okay here we are, bye thanks for today," I said and was about to walk in but he held my arm and dragged me to himself gazing into my eyes.
O, what's happening!
He was now staring at my lips and slowly he drew closer and before I could say a word he kissed me but I didn't respond, I was too shocked to.
"No, thank you," He said and left me speechless as he walked out of my sight.
"I can't believe you did that," I heard and I turned to see Tammy crying.
Oh no!
She pushed me away and ran into the room and I followed her.
"Tammy it's not what you think," I said and the girls turned.
"You kissed him what do you want me to think."
"I didn't kiss him, he kissed me," I said.
"I trusted you, we trusted you but you just took advantage of that," She said and Maddy hugged her and gave me a glare.
"I can't believe you did that," Patricia said.
"We thought you were our sister but you are just a pretender like Racheal," Maddy said but Christy just stared at me sadly.
It wasn't my fault!
Now they all hate me, how fun!!!
I laid on my bed and buried my head in shame and sadness.
I shouldn't have let him kiss me but I didn't kiss him back so I am not at fault here.
I wish they could all see that.
Sandra POV
I watched as Luke and the princess laughed and I got jealous a little.
I don't mean anything to Luke anyway, I am just his maid.
He should know that he's hurting me and let them do their stuffs somewhere else.
"Sandra please can we talk," Luke said behind me and I nodded.
"Let's go to the garden," He said as we walked and I nodded again.
"So I wanted to tell you something," He said as we sat on the bench.
"And err...I really like you Sandra, but I must get rid of all my feelings for you. I can't let anything get between me and Anne," He said and I was both happy and sad.
Happy that he likes me but sad that he getting rid of his feelings.
"I am sorry," He said.
"It's okay, it's for our own good. We can't let our feelings get in the way," I said.
"We?" He raised a brow at me.
"I think I liked you too, but that's all in the past now you have to move on," I said and he sighed.
"I'm sorry, I don't want to stop you, I know you have a reason for this and you should go on," I said.
"Thanks for understanding," He smiled and hugged me.
"The orphans will be glad about what you're doing," I muttered and pulled out of the hug.
"I hope so," He smiled and he walked away and I slowly began to sniff.
I can't believe it.
