ONE WEEK AFTER

Eric's POV

It's already been a week since the ship incidents but it still feels too hard to believe that.

I could still feel the pain and anger whenever I think about that incident. Ayesha truly made me believe that I can't judge people by their sweet smiles. She's a vicious woman and now I will make sure that she never comes out of that damn prison.

Her parents called me for forgiveness as soon as they knew what their daughter did, they even tried to contact Angela. But I made it clear to them that this is her punishment and if they want to build their company again just stop their nonsense. Or I'll let them never stand on their feet.

Only after I threatened them. They stopped contacting us. I don't want their shadows in my life.

For Angela, when she fell unconscious, I was completely scared. I went to the doctor with her where they informed me it's just for the trauma she gets unconscious and she's fine. I felt relieved that she was not in danger.

She opened her eyes two hours later and finally hugged me with the same tears. I could feel she was still in trauma.

I apologized to her for what she suffered. Because it happened because of my carelessness towards Ayesha and letting her come to our house.

But Angela told me that she already knew the truth that Ayesha is the one side in love with me and just wanted to destroy our wedding life. She wanted me and that's why she did this to her out of jealousy.

I sighed in relief that Ayesha didn't tell her about my identity because I will talk to my parents about telling the truth, Angela.

I don't want to lie anymore. But I'll wait a few days more until she completely heals from the incident's trauma.

The first two nights after the incident were not so good for Angela, she always had nightmares about the incident and saw herself tied up with ropes in an empty room.

Whenever she feels anxious, I try to give her some comfort and stay with her for almost 24 hours. When John handles the business with dad for me.

On the third day, she didn't get nightmares and slept soundly for the first time which is a big relief.

Her mom and dad came the next morning to look after her and also told me that they wanted her to go back with them to their house for a few days.

I felt a little uneasy but still, I nodded in agreement because they are Angela's parents. They already knew about the incident with my parents.

But they didn't even question me or get angry with me as her parents.

They believed me and that made me more concerned about what would be their reaction when they knew about my identity.

I already told the servant to pack luggage for Angela but as soon as Angela came to know about it she told her parents that she doesn't want to go for now and told them that I'm taking care of her the whole time there is no way she wanted to leave.

Her parents didn't force her at all and nodded to understanding her words.

I felt too touched as I heard what she did. We started spending a great time not contacting the outside world for the next two days until she turned completely normal and started doing her normal task and looking through her office files.

I wanted to surprise her with a dinner date. So I asked John to prepare everything perfectly.

In this one week, I felt she wanted me the same as I wanted her but I hoped it would be the same even after knowing my identity. I felt heartbroken to think about it. Because now I need to tell her the truth. She's fine and it's her right to know before someone else tells her and tries to destroy our home just like Ayesha tried to do.

I don't know what our future holds but I promise I'll try to apologize until my last breath.

PRESENT-DAY

"Boss, everything is ready! As you instructed!" John informed me through the phone as I'm still in the house.

"Alright! Tell the manager, I'll be there with Angela at 7 pm. So be ready with everything!"

"Okay boss!" He replied and I disconnected the call.

I hope she likes my dinner surprise.

Since last evening, she's not in herself and I don't know what suddenly became of her with her changing mood but she looked lost in deep thought the whole evening and even the night she silently stared at me whenever I was not looking at her. I can sense that.

At last, when I tried to ask her why she was looking lost, she just kept smiling and told me it was just related to the ship incident. She just had a nightmare again which made me feel guilty.

I just hope our going out brings her a bright smile on her face.

"Erish! Where are we going?" Angela asked me while we both sat in the car and I started driving.

She is wearing my gifted dress for tonight which made me smile while my heart is beating after every time I see my beautiful wife. Her beauty is just breathtaking.

I gave her black silk long strapless dress with a 'V' cut neck and a perfectly matching diamond necklace which makes her look like a goddess.

When I was looking at her beauty while driving with a wide smile. She still looked lost but still asked me at last where we were going.

"It's a surprise!" I answer by creating a suspicious look.

Angela gave me a small smile and didn't speak after that which made me a little frown.

Because she's not like this when it comes to surprises. But I think she needs more time to come out from that kidnapping incident.

I felt hurt to see her lost like this but I promise myself before midnight I'll make her smile. The one real smile which I wanted to see on her face.
