"Sir, This is the divorce papers. As you already knew the details are mentioned. But still, you can check all the papers once again, before signing them." The Lawyer put the papers on the table in front of Eric.

Eric, who is seated on his leather spinning chair, uncomfortably moved his eyes to the table where he could read out the heading on the paper written 'Divorce' over it.

This thing made him remember the day when Angela came with these papers, and how broken down he turned to read that.

He was almost not ready to sign it even if he needs to go against his terms. But today he is not only ready to sign but preparing all the papers on his own.

This thought made him laugh over him bitterly.

It also made him learn that the future is unpredictable. You can never judge your own thoughts also. Because you are human, which is made with emotions and feelings.

"Sir?" The lawyer's voice made him come to reality.

"Huh…" He abruptly looked at the Lawyer.

"You need to read the paper." The lawyer's words made him look at the divorce paper again in front of him for a short second as he directly took the paper in his hand.

His eyes focused on the first page where his and Angela's names were mentioned on it. Seeing that his eyes turned red.

But soon, he made his thoughts clear and took a pen from his table corner, ready to sign it. However, his fingers were almost shaking to the paper with a pen.

The lawyer's eyes watched this and directly asked," Sir, are you sure you want a divorce?"

Eric's hand stopped shaking as he immediately looked in the lawyer's direction with a cold stare.

"What do you mean?" His voice turned thick and sharp.

"No. I'm just asking. To be sure as your lawyer." The Lawyer explained without any fear of his anger.

Eric's brows twitched as he answered," Yes, I'm absolutely ready. That's why you are here."

He looked at him and then paper to instantly sign his name on the signature column.

But as soon as the sign was done, his heart tightened. He almost loses the pen from his grip.

The lawyer sighed to see his behavior. As he could guess that Eric doesn't want a divorce but it's not under him to judge his client. So, all he could do was feel sorry for him. He got many clients like Eric where people don't want a divorce but in the end, they could only get this option left to survive.

Divorce is not something anyone feels happy about. Even if it's giving you your freedom back. And that's why it's a hard choice to bring and do.

The lawyer takes the papers from him and said in a lower voice, "I'll send this paper to your wife Ms. Angela now."

Eric's eyes flickered almost letting his eyes turn moist to hear her name.

He didn't look at the lawyer while answering as he didn't want to show his weak side to the outside.

"A-Alright. But I have a request…"

"What sir?" Lawyer asked.

"Send her this paper, three days later, on your own. So, she could sign faster and you can proceed easily."

Eric's hidden word meaning. He already guessed. So, all he did was nod his head.

"Alright, Sir. As you want." He took the paper in his bag and left him in the room alone.

Eric leaned on the chair and closed his eyes. His mind instantly filled with Angela's smiling face while called his name full of love.

And soon his closed eyes let the tears fall from both corners which he let flow without wiping them out.

"Hello, Boss!" Jack's voice comes from another side of the phone.

"Did you book the flight?" Eric directly asked.

"Yes, Boss! As you said. I booked the ticket three days later." Jack illustrated.

"Alright. Don't let anyone know about it, For now!"

"Alright, Boss!"

"But what about the ticket?" He asked.

"Just send the ticket from the driver's hands to my study room after dinner time," Eric explained.

"Got it, Boss." As soon as he replied, Eric disconnected the call.

He put the phone back on the table and thought about Angela again.

When he made up his mind to divorce Angela last time. He also made up his mind to go back abroad, leaving the city and his home. Not to come back again.

It's a hard decision for him to make. But staying here is going to make him feel more devastated and he doesn't know how many days he can control his feelings for Angela not to see her or talk to her anymore. It's going to be worse than death.

He can't stay like this. The only option at this moment left for him to go far. Just like before.

Moreover, now Erish is here to take the company. So, he doesn't have any more responsibility to take his position. He can go back to giving him everything.

But first, he needs to talk to him about this decision. He doesn't know how to tell his parents about his departure. But at least he can tell Eris for now. After getting a ticket, he will find the right time to talk to his parents.

IN ERISH BEDROOM

"What are you saying, Eric? How could you make such a big decision like that?" Erish eyes turned bloodshot with anger making his forehead every vein pop up at this moment.

"Erish, I already made up my mind." Eric looked at him with a quiet face.

"But why? Why do you want to leave? You already did that before. Do you know how much Mom-Dad missed you?" Erish words made Eric's lips seal. As he continued.

"Eric, do you think going far from Angela's life makes you forget about her? Can you succeed last time when you left the city?" Erish words pierce his heart. But he still answered," I know it's going to be hard. Still, I'll do that."

"But I don't agree with you," Erish argued.

"I know how much you love her. Then why do you need to do this to yourself! Why do you need to hurt yourself? Why can't you just talk to her?"

Eric clenched his hand tightly. While he looked at his brother with red eyes finally throwing an answer at him.

"Because this is the end she chooses for us. She doesn't want this relationship! Erish. Do you want me to make her stay in this empty relationship even without her feelings for me? Do you want to see her sad face?" His breathing turned hard with every single sentence which he uttered in anger.

"I saw her crying and almost telling me I'm a monster who doesn't care about her feelings. Do you know how much hurt I felt at that moment? I felt someone rip my heart with their bare hands."

Erish eyes got moist.

"You don't know! How I'm feeling right now. No one doesn't know how hard it is to stay as if nothing happened to me and I'm fine. But in reality, I'm just feeling like a loser. Who didn't only break his own heart but also the person whom he loved with his whole heart! I cheated on her Erish! With your identity. Do you think it's easy to forgive me for her? But still, I tried! I tried everything and only after that did I make this decision. Divorced her and left this city. Because it hurts badly to think about staying here without seeing her every day. Staying here lifeless, without her smile, without her care and most importantly, I can't watch her hate me my whole life. So, I can only hope, after I leave. She will finally be happy or at least her hatred is going to lessen for me."

Erish felt sorry for his brother at this moment. After listening to him, he can't muster the courage to make him stay here. Because he can understand how hurt he is.
