Chapter 133: Chapter 133

Eric's POV

"Did you call the divorce lawyer?" I asked Erish, who's still thinking I got a chance with Angela.

"Eric, think carefully…"

"I think you first need a deep conversation with Angeal to make the last decision." This is what he has been saying for the last two days after I told him about my divorce decision.

"That's enough, Erish. We both know. Angela is never going to forgive me or trust me again. I finally accepted reality. So, please don't push me to think of imaginable things again." It's already hurt enough to accept this, I wanted to shout that to him but at last, let it go.

"Alright. If this is your choice, I'll not go to interpret it. But don't feel wrong at last, not talking to her." His every word fell harsh on me. I can see there is anger in his eyes. Before he just left me in my room alone.

His last words echoed in my mind again and again. But who will explain to him that I did everything in my strength to let her feel my love for her? But still, she hates me.

And Whatever she did in the hospital. It's all in sympathy for me. Nothing more than that.

And what I need is love not sympathy from her. I'm not going to think of her kindness as love.

Soon the phone ring interrupted my deep thoughts.

When I looked at the phone screen, I saw an unknown number.

"Hello." I picked up the call.

"Hello, Sir. It's Billy Hill. The divorce lawyer." Hearing the 'Divorce' word, I immediately raise a question: "From where did you get my number?"

"Actually, Mr.Erish is one of my colleagues' friends. He told me to contact you, for your divorce case." I understood and replied.

"Yes, I need divorce as fast as possible."

"Alright, I'll study the matter first. So, when can I meet you, Sir?" He asked.

"You can come home today in the evening. We can discuss everything." I explained to him.

"Alright Sir, I'll be there on time." He replied and disconnected the call.

After talking about divorce, I thought I would feel less burden but to my surprise, I felt heavier. I never wanted a divorce. But this marriage turned out to be a cage for Angela which is the last thing where I wanted to make her stay.

I'm not going to let my heart be selfish anymore.

Author's POV

IN THE EVENING

"Sir. Someone comes to meet you. He is saying his name, Billy Hill." One of the servants came to the bedroom to inform Eric.

"Alright. Send him to the study room. I'll be right there." He orders blankly.

"Okay, Sir." The servant nodded and immediately turned to leave the room.

Eric looked at the dark sky from the window. Where his eyes look at the moon with a deep gaze, for a long moment. Before walking towards his door to go towards the study area.

As soon as he opened the study room door, he saw a young man of his age standing up from the couch and looking at him with a professional smile on his face.

Edwin blankly just moved toward him, closing the door behind his back.

"Hello, Sir!" The lawyer forwarded his hand for a handshake.

Eric took the hand and shook hand lightly.

"Please take the seat." He pointed to the couch.

The lawyer nodded and both of them took their seats.

"So, Mr.Eric. Can you share the complete details with me? What is the main reason for the divorce filing? And if your partner is willing to agree with your divorce suit?" The lawyer's face turned serious.

Eric looked at him for a moment and then answered calmly, "I did something bad with my wife and now she does not want to stay with me. So, I'm willing to give her freedom. She needs a divorce and I'm willing to grant her wish."

"Did she send you the divorce paper?" The lawyer inquired.

"Yes. but I didn't sign it." Hearing him, Lawyer nodded.

"So, it's a mutual divorce matter." The lawyer's statement made Eric nod yes.

"Yes, So, I hope you can handle this divorce matter as soon as possible," Eric looked at the lawyer with serious eyes.

"Yes, it can be done faster. As there is no complexion. As soon as you and your wife sign the divorce paper. It can be done within a month." The lawyer explained.

"But I want to talk about one more thing…" Eric calmly asserted.

The lawyer's brows raised as he asked," And what is that, Sir?"

"I will…"

After conversation

"Alright, Sir. I'll bring the divorce paper as soon as it's ready." The lawyer declared.

Eric nodded to him while the lawyer added, "It's time to leave now."

Eric lightly nodded and moved with the lawyer to open the door for him.

But as soon as the door opened, the lawyer looked at the mid-age man and woman standing at the door with serious faces.

While Eric's eyes calmly stared at his parents.

The lawyer saw their silent interaction and immediately said," I should leave now." The lawyer gave a small smile to his parents and Eric before moving faster to let them alone.

"Eric, do you truly want the divorce?" Mrs.Brooks asked with an upset face.

Eric knew they were going to be upset heard his answer but he still nodded and said," Yes. That's true. I want the divorce."

"But Why?"

"You can talk to Angela. I don't think she wanted that. I saw her in the hospital. She cared about you, Eric." Mrs. Brooks's voice turned louder as she didn't feel good to hear his answer.

"Mom, you truly think. She stays there out of love, not for sympathy?" Eric's brows twisted as he threw the question in anger.

Mrs. Brooks's lips sealed to hear his question.

She can't deny his fact.

Seeing his mother's silence, he was upset and smirked bitterly.

"I know, you can't answer me. Because you also knew, all she did was be a kind human, that's it. Even if there is someone else in my place. She did the same, Mom." He murmured with a broken heart.

"But Son, you still need to talk first before making this big decision." Mr.Brooks finally broke his silence.

Hearing his dad, he shook his head in denial.

"No. There is nothing to talk about anymore. I know what she wants and I'll give her that. And this time you both can't change my decision." Eric's words made His parents turn silent.

They could see their son is determined to do that.
