Angela now can go to the mansion anywhere. So, she tried first to let everyone think that she was completely normal and not any more distressed to leave the place.
She moved towards the kitchen where cooks and maids worked on lunch preparation.
Seeing her enter the kitchen, everyone was shocked.
"Madam, you are here…" The cook wanted to ask if Eric knew about it or not.
Angela understood what they wanted to know, so she gave a small smile and responded, "Don't worry, Eric allowed me to roam around in the mansion!"
"Really mam?" One of them asked with a bright smile as other faces also lit up to hear this news.
"Yes, It's true!" Angela answered back.
"That's great news mam! We hope you both can resolve the issue fast and become lovey-dovey like before…" One of the chefs excitedly said but his words made Angela stuck instead.
But soon she just gave a small smile and nodded.
And to distract them with a conversation she raised another topic, "So, what are you all preparing for lunch?"
She looked at the kitchen counter and then at the two chefs.
"Mam, we are preparing a lemon chicken with cheese garlic bread, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes salad, and grilled fish with Thai soup."
"Sounds delicious! Only hearing the dish's name makes me hungry!" Angela smiled brightly.
While the maid and chefs smiled gladly.
"However, I need to wait for lunchtime to eat this all!." She chuckled lightly.
Hearing her words, one of the chefs commented.
"Mam, if you want to taste, you can do that. you should not need to wait until lunch!"
"What?" Angela confusedly raised her brows.
"Actually, we already prepared all the dishes but we just need to make soup and it will take only ten minutes."
"Really?" Angela asked in a disbelief tone.
"Yes, Mam! You should just go and relax in your dining seat! We will bring you food in just fifteen minutes."
Hearing him, she smiled radiantly and thanked him later.
When Angela was busy in conversation, Eric heard her conversation while standing beside the door of the kitchen silently.
Seeing her finally smiling, he was glad and happy that she is no longer spending her time in distress. He could now presume, he took the right decision to let her move at least freely in the house.
He stood there silently until he saw Angela coming towards the door. And he could not help but hide. He didn't want her to let him see and thought he was eyeing her.
He went directly to the dining table first and sat on his chair while he immediately held a newspaper like he was reading and was too busy to notice her.
When Angela came to the dining table she saw Eric already at the dining table who is busy with newspapers and not looking at her.
She felt a little confused as it was not his time to eat right now. But she didn't want to ask him, so she silently went to her seat which was far from Eric, and sat on it.
Eric saw that and felt a little annoyed but didn't say anything.
Angela looked at her fingers which were resting on the table as she didn't want to glance at him at any chance. But when she, without intention, noticed something, she couldn't help but cough up faking to attract his attention.
Hearing her coughing he put down the newspaper and rushed towards her seat in panic.
"Angela, What happened? Are you feeling cold?" He raised a question immediately. As he brings the water from the table for her.
Angela felt uncomfortable to see him get too panicked only just because she coughed. She coughed to attract his attention not to look like a patient.
"Drink the water!" He forwarded the glass towards her.
Angela held the glass from him only to brush her finger against him.
"No, I'm not cold!"
"But you coughed!" He added.
"Yes, but It's not like that, what you think…"
Eric couldn't understand her meaning.
"What are you saying?" He asked.
Angels felt Eric act like dumb and this made her roll her eyes annoyingly.
"I coughed just because I wanted to attract your attention to tell you that you are holding the newspapers in the wrong direction."
Hearing her, he felt dumbfounded and turned his head to see the newspaper and yes, she was right he was holding the newspaper all the time the wrong.
'Damn it' He cussed inside his mind while bit his lower lip feeling big dumb.
Angela didn't notice his reaction.
While he stood straight and looked at Angela in a serious mood.
"Yeah, I know! that newspaper is in the wrong direction."
Angela felt confused to hear him.
"What?"
"You already knew?" She arched her brows. Felt he was lying. How could someone read a newspaper like that?
"Yes!" He looked at her confidently and continued.
"I was just seeing how it would feel to read from the opposite direction! Nothing more!"
Angela could not help but laugh when she heard him.
"What? You want to read a newspaper from the opposite direction?"
He frowned to see her laugh.
"Yes!" He replied coldly.
"So, what did you read tell me?" Angela wrapped her hands around her chest and asked with a mocking tone.
Eric felt he was going to be caught by her, like this. So, he made another lie.
"I just started reading, when you cough instantly…so, it means I didn't read anything" He replied.
Angela felt he was just making a story.
"Yeah! Yeah! I understand!" She smiled but the one with mocking.
Eric noticed that and asked angrily, "What? You don't believe that?"
"No!" She responded.
"But it's true…" he argued.
Angela smirked and unintentionally said," I don't think...everything you told is always a lie to me!"
Hearing her, Eric's mood swiped with a big silence as he looked at her with the same emotion again.
While Angela suddenly realized what she just said and remembered what he did to her! And her silly mood changed to a bitter atmosphere again.
She doesn't understand why she's talking to him in the first place.
Realization hit both of them in their place.
"Mam, your lunch!" The two servants come with food.
Angela and Eric stopped looking at each other while Angela moved her eyes to look at the servant.
"Please bring my food to my room…I'll eat there..."
Hearing her, two servants nodded while Eric could only watch her leaving silently towards the stairs.
