Third POV.
They all looked at her as she left. Elana looked at the meal she had left on the table and frowned but she did not call her back as she knew better than anyone how the darkness tempers are.
“Elana, is your sister fine?” Eric asked worriedly.
“Yes she is. Please, don’t mind her but you better not anger her every time you see her eyes with that color,” she answered as she looked at him.
“What? Isn’t it just her wolf?” he asked, making Elana, Aurora and Marcus shake their heads but did not bother answering his question.
They were confused.
“Why don’t you tell us what you are trying to say and what did she mean when she said that is the goddess of destruction?” Jordan asked as he looked at the three as he had a feeling that they were hiding something from them.
“As she said, kindly don’t provoke her. Don’t do anything to make her angry or you will regret it. She can even kill you. Leila is my best friend but I am also afraid of Amaya. It is one thing to provoke and mess with Leila but it is anything doing the same with Amaya. That will be like committing suicide,” Aurora said but they became more confused making her sigh but did not continue explaining to them.
“What she meant is just be careful when talking to her. As you have witnessed, Aiden is also cautious when talking to her. She is Leila but at the same time she isn’t. When she says she is the goddess of destruction, believe it. Mess with her and she will show you the meaning of destruction,” Marcus told them and they felt a shiver running down their spine.
“Is she that strong or what? Cause Aiden didn’t even refute when she said she is stronger than him?” Matteo asked.
“Just know that she is really strong. Also, don’t tell anyone about her eyes. The rogues are after Leila cause they want to kill Amaya. They know how powerful she is and they can’t risk her becoming more powerful. You better keep this secret and take it to your graves,” Elana said coldly, making them nod their heads in understanding.
“Aiden blames Leila because to him, she could have saved his father?” Jordan asked as he started putting some puzzles together.
“Yes, but that would have only made the rogues to be anxious. They don’t know much about Leila other than she is strong. If anyone had seen her eyes and strength, it would have been more than what has ever happened,” Aurora said as she understood something after staying with both the sisters and the elders.
“What she needs is to do a lot of practice and learn more on how to control her powers, if she gets strong enough then the rogues won’t be a threat to her and us. So support her and as I said before, don’t you dare provoke her as it will just waste time as she deals with you,” Elana said seriously.
“Don’t see Amaya as a friend till you understand her more. Till, you know that you can tease her and she won’t make you angry. Before that, you better treat her as a guest here. If any of you get hurt or die. You shouldn’t blame us or her as we have already warned you. You should be as precautious as Aiden. He knows that he had Leila and Amaya will get her revenge thus he opts to stay away from her,” Marcus said as he looked at their faces.
He didn’t want any of them to mess with their plans.
“Also, Aurora has gotten her gifts. You guys are close to us thus you should also expect to have gifts in the coming days. Let’s just hope grandma isn’t angry,”Elana said, making Aurora blush.
“Gifts? Aren’t people born with them?” Matteo asked and they shook their heads.
“Sometimes. I heard that these are just small attacks. There will be a great battle as the enemy wants to wipe out all lycans and werewolves. That’s why you see us practising so hard. The rogues are after Leila as they know she might be able to save the moon Goddess creations and that’s not what they want. When you get your gifts. Please practise on her to use them,” Marcus told them.
“I heard that there was also a great war years ago. The elders who have gifts were given by the moon goddess so that they can help out in the battle. But how does the moon goddess determine who can have it and who can’t?” Eric asked as he looked between Elana and Marcus.
“Yes, whatever you heard is true. How she determines, as long as you stay close to us, you will eventually understand it and know many other things,” Elana said with a mysterious smile on her face.
“We have talked so much. We should hurry up and go start training. We have no time to waste if we want to save our people,” Elana said, making them confused as they wondered what she meant when she said the last words but they did not bother asking her.
“Elana, are you going to ask for Josiah’s help?” Aurora asked curiously.
“We don’t need to ask for his help. He knows what he is supposed to do. Also, he is much stronger and there is no need for him to train. Let him stay where he is and continue keeping an eye on Madeline and her father.
“But don’t you think that if he wasn’t locked up, he would have helped out? Maybe dad wouldn’t have been kidnapped or the elders,” Aurora said, making Elana remain silent as she knew what Aurora was saying was true.
“He will be out soon. We just don’t want to release him before we get to know how to control our powers and become much stronger than before. You do know that man, if he is released now, I am sure none of us will have our peace.”
