Chapter 97: Chapter 97
Third POV.
“Morning,” Amaya greeted the people who were having breakfast on the dining table.
“Morning,” they murmured but Aiden remained silent.
He continued eating his food without even lifting his head to look at his mate.
Seeing his attitude, Amaya rolled her eyes as she dragged the nearest seat so that she could sit down. She was also happy and glad that it wasn’t Leila who had control as she would have been hurt by indifference.
“Why haven’t you left already? I thought that you were leaving?” Aiden asked without casting her a single glance.
“Why should I leave?” Amaya asked as she glanced at him but upon seeing that he wasn’t bothering to look at her as he spoke, she was angry and vowed that she would cast a glance on the cold hearted man.
“Because as long as you are here, a lot of people will end up dead. You just bring bad luck anywhere you go,” he said, making the people present hold their breath as they were afraid they would also be involved in their argument.
Amaya clenched her hand forming a fist. She wished that she could beat the man up but was afraid of making Leila mad when she took control.
“Oh, if I am really a jinx and anyone close to me dies, doesn’t that mean that the moon goddess wants you dead that’s why she paired you with me?” Leila asked with a smirk on her face.
She didn’t have to look to know that Aiden was mad at her words. The others applauded for her as they thought that she surely had guts.
“Leave my kingdom and never get in here,” Aiden said in a clear and cold tone, making everyone shocked.
“Leave, why should I leave when I belong here? Huh? You are my mate thus I won’t leave! If you want me to leave then first of all reject me. REJECT ME!” Amaya said as she emphasised the last two words
She turned and looked at Aiden only to find his hand was in a fist.
Aiden gritted his teeth upon hearing her words. He wanted to speak but he was afraid of doing so.
Seeing his conflicted look, Amaya smiled as she said, “that’s what I thought. Since you can’t reject me then shut up and know that I will continue living here and you will see me everyday so you better keep your attitude in check.”
Aiden frowned as he lifted his head to glance at her and their eyes met. Seeing the black pitch eyes, he understood where the confidence came from as he knew that if it were Leila, she would have left the moment he chased her out.
“Amaya you better watch your words!” he said in a slow, low and cold tone making everyone look at him.
Everyone at the table apart from Aurora, Elana and Marcus were confused as they wondered who Amaya was.
On the other hand, Amaya chuckled as his threats meant nothing to her.
“What are you going to do if I don’t ,mh? Do you think you can win a fight against me?” she asked with a mocking smile on her face as she stared at Aiden’s eyes.
Aiden was so angry and wished he could kill her but he knew that it was true that he wasn’t her match. If he dared to challenge her then he might end up being a corpse.
“See just talks and no actions. Tsk, you are so weak,” she continued to make him angry.
She had vowed that even if she could not inflict pain on him as he did to Leila, she could make him mad and angry to the point of nearly losing control.
“I am your king, you better not forget that!” Aiden said in a loud yet threatening voice as he looked at her expecting that she would finally back down but he was shocked when he saw her rolling her eyes.
“And I am your queen, you better not forget that,” Amaya said in the same tone as he had used.
People chuckled at her mocking.
Aiden’s eyes darkened as his face turned cold. He continued staring at her as he placed his fork and knife down, wiped his mouth with a napkin before throwing it on the table. He then stood up and walked away angrily. Everyone’s eyes were on him the entire time.
Seeing him leaving, Amaya laughed loudly as he looked at both Elana and Marcus with a smug face.
“What do you think?” she asked them and they shook their heads.
“Are you going to continue making him angry?” Marcus asked in concern.
“I wouldn’t have done that if he had just remained silent! Do you expect me to be silent as someone is poking me? Hell No! If he can’t change and try making my life here difficult then I will return it in ten folds. I am not a weakling,” she answered without knowing that Aiden was behind the door listening to her words.
His eyes turned cold as he clenched his hands before walking away.
“Don’t you think that you will just be hurting yourselves?” Aurora asked.
“Sweetheart, are you worried about your brother? I thought you were our best friend and always have our back?” Amaya asked Aurora as she pretended to be pitiful as she looked at her.
“No, that’s not it. It is just that both of you will just continue hurting each other with your attitudes,” Aurora said hurriedly as she was still afraid of Amaya.
“Oh, you don’t need to worry about him. He hurt Leila and he must pay. Also, I am not the kind of a person to be provoked and continue enduring it. Don’t worry, I will never get hurt. Maybe he is, because after all, he is challenging the goddess of destruction. Maybe I can cause destruction in his life,” Amaya said seriously before starting to laugh after a few minutes.
Aurora held her breath and did not dare question her, afraid to face her wrath. Eric, Matteo , Jordan and Doris were confused all the the way
“Leila, where are your eyes pitch black?” Doris asked with a frown.
“About that, you shouldn’t worry yourself too much about it. Oh, and my name is Amaya, Leila is sleeping.”
“I am going to practise.”
