Chapter 92: Chapter 92
Third POV.
When Leila appeared, the others were shocked but did not bother wondering why she was. They assumed she was always there watching the fight of many vs two.
After the rogues were killed, everyone present was shocked and the warriors looked at Leila as if they were looking at a demon.
Leila rolled her tired eyes and started walking towards Aurora.
Aurora had been silent the whole time the fight was going on. She wasn’t so stunned like them as she had always accompanied Leila when she went for the gift classes.
She looked at where her father was after seeing that the danger was over and wished to take him to the hospital but she was surprised when she saw the spot empty.
“Dad!” she yelled, gaining everyone’s attention.
They frowned as they looked at her while she ran towards the spot. When they saw it empty as well they were so shocked.
Leila was also shocked for a moment at what was happening and she was afraid that there was someone who had seen her with the king before he disappeared. She was worried that she would be named the culprit under his disappearance.
Leila was watching everything silently as she even started breathing slowly as if she was afraid that anyone might hear her.
“Where has the king gone?” Jordan asked hastily as he searched the room.
The guards who were in the room ran outside immediately so as to search or prevent the person who had taken the king from disappearing.
At the moment, Mike saw someone carrying a person in similar clothes as the king had worn running away to the woods.
He shook his head as he said, “He has been kidnapped. Maybe Jordan you should ask people after them so as to see whether they will be able to retrieve him,” he said as he pointed at the figure that was far away and would disappear from their eyes in a few minutes.
“I will go after him,” Jordan and Aurora said at the same time, causing them to look at each other before leaving the room.
Leila had powers thus to the council such a thing was not supposed to happen. Also, she had taken control of every rogue tha was present in the room. They didn’t understand anything so they turned towards her for answers.
“How did anyone escape? Or was there a rogue who pretended to be one of the warriors when they walked in to prevent the present rogues from running?” Leila asked with a frown on her face immediately she saw the councils’ gazes on her.
Hearing her words, they also frowned but they knew that was highly possible since everyone had been concentrating on what was happening between the rogues and their leader.
“If that’s the case then the person must be found as soon as possible cause it is a risk if he gets out of the kingdom with the king in his injured state and alsp, the person might go and tell their leaders what they had witnessed in the room,” Amanda said after a moment of silence.
“We will also be in trouble if the elders get kidnapped. As far as I know, when one is tortured for a long time and the torturer has no mercy, the victim might end up saying everything they knew. We should go and see whether the elders are okay,” Eliud said, making the others nod their heads.
“But what about father?” Leila asked as she did not know what to do.
With her in the room, nothing would happen to them but sadly, the old king had been kidnapped just under her nose.
Leila was afraid of what Aiden might do when he finds out, she was so afraid that he might reject her as he starts to blame her for his father’s disappearance.
“The warriors together with Jordan and Aurora have gone after them. You should stop blaming yourself. The person who did that was so careful not to draw our attention,” Lisa said calmly.
“I failed to protect him! I always end up losing people close to me. I am afraid that Aiden won’t forgive me,” Leila said as she started shedding tears.
“As she said, it isn’t your fault. Even though the king has been kidnapped, you manage to prevent a lot of damage from happening. Who knows what would have happened if you failed to show up? Also, it is a good thing that Madeline has not fallen into their hands.
“Let’s go to the elders' place as soon as possible before something bad happens to them. We need them more than anything,” Eliud said as he started walking out of the room.
“I am sure that they are fine. Even if they are so old, they are still fit and still, they do have gifts which they can’t use against the enemy so as to emerge victorious. But we should get there as soon as possible. Maybe they will be able to help us find the old king through their gifts,” Leila said as she started running out of the room, making the others follow her hurriedly since they had to admit that she had a point.
In ten minutes, they arrived. The place which was always green and neatly kept grass was now full of mud and had become unkempt. Some places were red out of blood that was shed during the fight.
The rogues that were down were so many more than the rogues that had been in the room.
“Seems that rogues knew how strong the elders are so they ambushed in large numbers,” Matthew said as he looked at the scene in front of him.
Some of the warriors were also dead making Leila feel pain in her heart as she blamed herself for their deaths.
Without wasting time, they went to the inner parts where they found that the battle was still going on but some of the elders' faces were pale as they had already exhausted most of their energy while using their powers and also while fighting physically.
No one would blame them. In fact, the councils and Leila were shocked to see how many people the elders had fought despite each of them being more than ninety years old.
Leila joined the battle since she could see that the elders would be defeat so soon
