Third POV.

The rogue leader as he received the first punch and was in disbelief.

He continued shouting asking for his group to stop but they did not listen. Since everyone was looking at where he was since they were too afraid that the rogues might turn to them, no one noticed that both the old king and Leila had vanished.

“Jordan, how did Leila do that?” Doris asked in a whisper as she watched the scene.

Jordan looked at his mate and a lot of emotions were heard in his tone. “I honestly don’t know but it isn’t shocking that she is able to do such a thing. After all, hasn’t she been going to the elders to be taught some things?”

Doris' eyes were in disbelief. “I never thought that I would one day witness such a scene.”

Jordan did not answer her making Doris stay silent as she watched the scene in deep thoughts

On the other hand, Aurora was silent as she looked at the rogues. She had a frown on her face as nothing that happened made sense to her. She couldn't help but wonder whether the moon goddess had really given her a gift.

She had heard what the council had once said but at the moment, she had thought it was a lie but now? She couldn’t help but feel anxious as she wondered whether she had other powers.

She looked at both Doris and Jordan. ‘Were they also gifted?’

They had accompanied the sisters to the elders thus to her, if it were true, they also had to have powers. She wanted to ask but couldn’t bring herself to since she didn’t know what to say or how to say it.

“What is it?” Jordan asked as she felt her gaze bringing Aurora back to her senses.

At the moment, Leila was sweating profusely and was at the edge of fainting due to lack of energy in her but she still kept going and pushing on without caring what would happen to her.

With a sigh, Amaya looked at the scene. “What should we do? It seems she can’t take it any longer.”

Leila’s wolf looked at Amaya. Even if she wanted to roll her eyes, she couldn’t. “What can we do if she keeps insisting to help him? Doesn’t she know what she is doing to herself?”

Amaya frowned at that but did not dare question once more as nothing good would come to it. She felt in deep thought as she couldn’t just stay still and let anything happen to Aurora especially since she was invisible to anyone.

“You talk as if you don’t dare about your life. Don’t you know that if she dies it would be impossible for you to find another human body and be alive?”

Hearing this, Leila’s wolf frowned but after a while shook it off. “She can’t just die. If most, she would just black out for some hours till she gets enough rest.”

“How naive. Can’t you see what is happening? She is transferring some of her energy to him. This isn’t just cleaning the wound and making him not feel pain. She is using her energy to bring life to him!” Amaya said with grief as she wondered why Leila was such a selfish person.

Leila’s wolf got shocked and took a closer look at what was happening. After a while, she started panicking as she had not expected that such a thing was happening. Of course, she loved herself more than she loved the old man thus she didn’t see why she had to die for him to live.

Although she did not dare to utter anything, she couldn’t help but start thinking for solutions even though she was in a panic.

There was a moment of silence before the old king opened his eyes.

He saw that Leila’s face was pale while her hands were on his stabbed wound making him frown “Leila was are you trying to do?”

Leila looked at the old man upon hearing his voice and was relieved for a moment before being serious again and avoiding the man’s gaze. “I will save you. Just hang in there. I will surely save you.”

The old King shook his head hurriedly and tried removing Leila’s hands from his wound but since he was still weak, it was effortless no matter how much strength he used. “You don’t have to. No, I don’t need you to save me! Let me just go to my beloved. She is currently waiting for me on the other side.”

Leila looked at him for a moment then shook her head. “No. I lost my parents and now after tasting how it feels to be a dad you want to leave us too? I can’t let it happen.

By now, Leila was crying, making the old man sigh since he didn’t know what he could say to make her feel better.

“Leila, you shouldn’t be greedy in life to want everything. Sometimes life is hard and fate can never be changed. Since it is my time to leave, let me go.”

Leila was in disbelief and cried even harder. “Do you want the people to say that I got you killed just as my pack always said that I killed my mom? Do, I won’t let that happen. Nothing you will say would make me change my mind!”

Her voice was cold and stern showing how determined and serious she was.

“I know what we can do to say both. But I am not sure even if she has enough strength and energy to do it.”

Leila’s wolf said startling Amaya and successfully getting her attention.

“What is it?” Amaya asked with urgency evident in her tone.

They shared some words before conveying them to Leila. Even though Leila did not want to do what she was told, she knew that that was the only chance since it was quite evident she had a little energy and strength left and she might lose her life if she continued.
