Chapter 86: Chapter 86

Third POV.

They tried opening it but they found it more difficult.

Step back, Leila said as she gave Amaya control so she could knock down the door. After she gave the door a heavy and powerful kick, the door broke and fell down.

Leila took back their control as she did not want her enemies to see her eyes and know that they were right. Even though they attacked the elders and the councils, that did not mean that they were sure that she had darkness in her. Maybe they thought that she had her father’s gifts and did not inherit her mother’s darkness. Thinking of all this, Leila made a quick guess that the rogues were attacking the council so that the council could tell them more about me.

Leila wondered whether the council could really remain silent and opt not to tell the enemies anything even when they saw the death with their own eyes.

They all run in and that’s where Jordan discovered that they had been played.

The rogues came in large from the front making him and the warriors think that they wanted to pass through the door but in reality, those rogues were just sent to the floor to distract them and take them away from the room.

The room was filled with more than twenty rogues who were all surrounding the old king and the council. Upon seeing them enter, a rogue stabbed the old king making them flinch and scream then looked at them in disbelief.

“Dad,” Aurora shouted as she started crying when she saw the scene in front of her. She wondered whether if she had come earlier, would she have been able to save them?

Although deep down Leila was also panicking, she put on a brave look and faced the rogue who was at the main seat.

“Don’t you feel ashamed sitting in that seat while you are just a low life criminal?” Leila asked him in a cold tone, making the rogue look at her.

“So what if I am a rogue? Do you think that the king and your sister are here to save you? I will kill everyone in the room and then kidnap you. I am very sure that my master will be very happy to see you there,” the man said with a smirk making Leila frown.

She couldn’t see his face since he had covered it but upon hearing him mention his master, Leila wondered whether it was the same master Josiah always talked about. Leil looked at the king and knew that if she did not hurry up, they might end up losing and the enemy conquering them.

She gave each and every rogue a glance before looking at their leaders without even blinking. Seeing this, their leader frowned as he wondered why the woman was silent and why she was looking at him.

“What you have nothing to answer since you are now afraid?” he asked with a smirk.

“Leila, Aurora ran for your life. There is no need for you to try saving me. I can see my mate waiting for me on the other side. As I go, I want you to remember that even though I am leaving, I will always guide you all. Leila, continue practising harder so that you can avenge my death,” the old king said, making everyone turn their eyes on him and the rogues chuckle in disdain.

Although the council were not hurt, they were injured thus everyone knew that they had been interrogated. They looked at their king and their eyes turned to be watery and looked at the rogues with a deep hatred.

“No, you won’t die today but I will make them pay for the pain they have inflicted on you. Not tomorrow nor in future but today itself. Attack him!” Leila said, making the council and the rogues leader look at her in confusion.

“Young girl, have you gone crazy upon seeing your father-in-law dying?” the leader rogue asked as he laughed but he later froze as he was in disbelief.

“What are you doing? You should be charging at them not at me,” he said in fear but the rogues were not listening to him. They continued to walk towards him and surround him.

Knowing that he was in danger, even though he was confused as to what had happened and why his own people were attacking him, he knew that he had to first protect his life then he would know what was happening afterwards.

“What are you guys waiting for? He is just alone while you are all twenty. Attack him not but don’t end his life. I will be the one ending it,” Leila said coldly and her eyes carried a killing intent.

Upon hearing her words, the rogues ran forward and started attacking their leader. No matter how strong the rogue leader was, there was no way he would fight the twenty all together and defeat them.

The council looked at Leila and their eyes shone as they knew that they had been rescued. It seemed that whatever she was taught by the elders helped out.

As ordinary folks, both Jordan and Doris looked at Leila in fear as they couldn’t understand how she had managed to turn the rogues against themselves but after remembering that she had always gone to the elders for lessons, they gradually understood some things.

Without wasting time, Leila looked at Jordan and Doris and said, “ Make sure he doesn’t run away. Let our warriors surround the room, no rogue should leave.”

“Yes my queen,” they said in unison but they were confused as to why she was telling them and wondered what Leila was now up to.

Leila run towards the old king and knelt at his side before placing her right hand on his wound. The old man had lost a lot of blood since he was stabbed and the sword was immediately removed.

“Don’t worry, I am going to save you,” Leila said as she made herself and the king invisible as she did not want the rogues to see her healing him.

“No, you better listen to me! I am your leader, she is not!”
