Chapter 85: Chapter 85
Third POV.
“Leila, why are you looking at me like that?” Aurora asked with a frown as to her, it was creepy.
“Guess grandma did give you a gift,” Leila told her, making Aurora curious as she did not understand what Leila was saying.
“Come on, Leila. Please elaborate what you are saying,” Aurora asked but Leila remained silent since she had no intention of explaining herself as she was busy fighting with Amaya.
“Doris, where is Jordan?” Leila asked immediately, making everyone turn their gaze to her.
“I think that he is guarding the old majesty,” Doris answered, making Leila nod her head.
“Send ten warriors to join him immediately while rest to run to where the elders live,” Leila said, making everyone look at her with questioning eyes but she pretended that she did not see anything.
“Do as I said. I am your queen,” she roared, making everyone flinch and immediately leave the exercising room.
“No, send twenty his way. We can’t risk anything,” Leila said anxiously.
“Leila, was I right? Is something bad going to happen? That’s why you said that the moon goddess gave me a gift?” Aurora asked immediately, making Leila nod her head but didn’t look at her direction.
“How did you know?” she asked.
“Amaya,” Leila replied to her, making Aurora nod her head in understanding.
“Do as she said. We can’t risk anything,” Aurora yelled, making the warriors who were still standing jump in fight.
“You guys should go outside and ensure that everyone is in their houses. As she said we can’t risk anything,” Leila said, making Doris frown.
“Are we really under attack?” she asked, making the two nod their heads.
Doris looked at Aurora and her eyes widened as she understood why Aurora had been anxious since morning.
“But I don’t understand, why did the rogues choose today? How did they know that the king and Elana weren’t present?” she asked as she was confused.
“There are only two possibilities. One, we have a mole in our midst or two, the people who Aiden and Elana are meeting are working with the rogues. They informed the enemy when they will be meeting and when the king will be out of the kingdom,” Leila said, making the two look at her as they agreed that her words were making sense.
“So maybe the king and his group will also be attacked either on their way or when they are there,” Doris said, making Leila look at her.
“It has been hours since they left. I am sure they already arrived where they were going. Also, I am sure by now, Elaine has sensed some danger. I have tried mindlinking my sister but it seems there is an invisible wall,” Leila told them with a frown on her face.
“Then it was planned by the person they were going to meet. But how will we notify them?” Doris asked anxiously.
“Maybe they have also been ambushed so that they can’t make it on time to come back and help us. After all, I know that Elaine can’t stay still while knowing that I am in danger,” Leila answered.
“I can’t understand something. Why are they after the elders and the council and not you this time?” Aurora asked with a frown on her face.
After some moments of silence, Leila said, “Maybe since the day they ambushed and saw that I had awakened my demon, they knew that the best thing currently is going after the elders. After all, they do have gifts and skills which they can teach me.”
“So the rogues are attacking them so that you can have no one to teach you? But what about the council?” Aurora asked in confusion.
“I don’t know. We should go and help out,” Leila said as she started running towards the door.
“Hei, you better stop running. What if you also get kidnapped?” Aurora sounded as she followed Leila but Leila did not even slow down after hearing her words.
“I can’t stay still when there is an attack in the kingdom. I have to help out. Just don’t worry about me,” Leila said as she continued running.
As they got out, they heard the people’s screams and cries making the three ladies panic.
“What are we going to do?” Doris asked anxiously.
“Leila, let’s go and help the elders,” Aurora said as she ran towards their direction but she was stopped by Leila.
“No, let them be! The elders have gifts and are united thus they can help each other and defeat the enemy. I should have sent a lot of warriors to the council instead of the elders. Let’s go and help the council instead,” Leila said, making Aurora frown.
“But what if the elders get killed?” she asked.
“The rogues think that I haven’t learned anything since I arrived but they are wrong. Don’t think the elders will just die. They are stronger than you think even if they look so old. Come on, let’s go before something bad happens,” Leila said as she started running towards the left side of the kingdom.
The closer they got, the more enemies they saw making them become anxious. Leila could not understand why the council was being attacked.
As she ran towards the direction, some enemies did not bother looking at her even though they knew who she was. Seeing this, Leila’s frown deepened as she knew that there was something wrong going on. With all the hatred and anger, she killed each rogue she encountered even though they weren’t attacking her.
After seeing their blood being shed, Leila gradually smiled as she was getting satisfied with her work.
On the way, they helped the warriors who were fighting the enemies.
“My queen. Princess, what are both of you doing here?” Jordan asked them upon seeing them as he fought the enemy.
Leila ignored him and ran towards the conference room making Jordan also follow her.
“Why is the door locked from inside?” Leila asked without looking at Jordan.
Hearing her words, Jordan stepped forward and was equally shocked.
The four looked at each other and started panicking as they hurriedly started trying to open the door.
