Chapter 84: Chapter 84

Third POV.

“Do you really have to leave today?” Leila asked as she saw them put their luggages in the car.

She was reluctant to part ways with her. After all, since when didn’t Elana take her with her when she was going to meetings?

“Sorry love but we do,” Aiden said but Leila ignored him and looked at her sister.

“Even though I wanted to take you with me, I couldn’t. The council said that when I am gone, you should be practises your fighting skills so that when I come back, we can continue with the gifts training,” Elana said making Leila understand somethings.

“Don’t worry, we won’t go for too long. We will be back in three days, Marcus said while patting Leila’s back to prevent her from crying since he knew that that was so hard for her.

“Love..” Aiden tried reaching out for her hand but Leila avoided him, making everyone confused.

“Leila, what’s going on? Aiden is trying to talk to you but you are so busy running away from him,” Elana said while trying not to sound harsh.

“Why should I speak to him as if nothing is wrong when there is something that is truly wrong? Mh?” Leila asked as she challenged her since with her tone.

Knowing that she had made a mistake by talking to her like that, Elana said, “I am for talking to you in that tone but can you tell him what is wrong so that he can know what he should correct?”

Leila rolled her eyes when she saw that her beloved sister was on her mate’s side but she did not dare say something sarcastic.

“He always said that I am the Queen of this kingdom and that everything should be decided by the two of us but what did he do?” Leila asked angrily, making Aiden feel guilty.

“Baby, I am really sorry. What we are going to do is form some alliances with some pack so that they can help us during the battle,” Aiden explained but Leila turned a deaf ear to him.

“I understand that alliances are important but aren’t I important? Mh? You opted to not tell me cause you felt I am not worthy of you and the kingdom. That’s why even though we sleep in the same room and bed, you never told me the council’s decision even though it concerns me,” Leila said angrily, making Aiden feel more guilty as he thought that it wasn’t important for her to know.

But looking at what was happening, Aiden knew that he had really messed up and it would take more time than before for Leila to trust him once more.

Seeing that he had nothing to say, Leila nodded her head at him before turning to her sister’s and Marcus’ direction.

“Have a safe trip sister. Make sure you are back so soon so that we can go back home,” Leila said while hugging Elana and trying her best not to cry and make everyone think that she was so weak.

“Marcus! Make sure you look after her and bring me souvenirs. Don’t think I will let you be at peace if you won’t bring me anything,” Leila said firmly as she sounded like the boss making Marcus chuckle and salute her.

Leila later looked at Aiden in disappointment and turned around.

“No, Leila listen to me,” Aiden said trying to make her stop but Leila pretended not to hear anything and started running.

He looked more defeated than before since he knew that it wasn’t her trust and love he would be working on when he comes back but also to get her back from her pack since she had made the decision to leave with her sister when they get back.

“Just let her be and give her some time. She will understand you afterwards,” Marcus said with a sigh as he looked as if he was saying the right thing but as Leila’s family he understood her temper more than Aiden.

Elana looked at Aiden and felt sorry for him but she did not say anything because she would just be lying to him. It was better for him to face reality and know what to do afterwards.

“My Majesty, we are ready for departure,” Eric said with a bow making Aiden nod his head as he tried to look okay.

“Brother, I think you are all making a mistake by going,” Aurora insisted when she saw them getting in the cars.

“Aurora, we have to go since if we miss this chance then I don’t know how we will get the other’s help and you know that we need everyone’s help so as to be winners in the next fight,” Aiden said, making Aurora remain silent as she knew that she wasn’t going to change her brother’s mind.

“Since you have decided to go then it is fine but I hope you won’t regret it later on,” Aurora said then started walking away without bidding them a safe journey.

Aiden sighed as he looked at his sister but he did not believe her since he knew that she did not have any gift in her. He got in the car and they left afterwards.

Aurora heard the cars leaving and sighed since she knew that no one was going to believe her. Even she herself didn’t know what was wrong with her and why she was saying those words.

All she knew is that she was just uncomfortable, anxious and something in her was telling her that something bad was going to happen but she couldn’t pinpoint what was going to happen.

After watching Leila practicing with Doris among the warriors, she decided to go find her father so as to see whether he would believe her since the feeling was getting more than before making her be more restless.

Leila saw Aurora’s face had turned pale making her frown and stop practising before walking over.

“Aurora, what’s going on? Are you feeling unwell?” Leila asked in concern, making Aurora look at her.

“There is something wrong. I think we are in danger,” Aurora said while taking Leila’s hand.

Inside Leila, Amaya also started getting restless and trying to take control.

“Amaya? What are you trying to do?” Leila asked as she was confused.

“The council and the elders are in danger,” Amaya shouted, making Leila shocked as she looked at Aurora.
