Chapter 82: Chapter 82
Third POV.
Leila, Marcus and Aurora looked at Elana as if she was crazy. How could she think of fighting just as they have been struggling all day trying to clean up the mess they made?
“No, I didn’t mean that you aren’t my match,” Jordan said with a frown on his face as he couldn’t understand why she had become angry just because of telling her to fight with one of their warriors.
“Oh. What if I said that I want to have a match between you and me?” Elana asked as she looked at him sideways.
Knowing that he might not be able to escape her wrath and anger, Jordan knew that he did not have otherwise.
“It is not that I don’t want to fight any of them cause I look down on their fight skills but since I want to learn a few things here before I go back, shouldn’t I learn from the best?” Elana explained making the warriors and Jordan sigh in relief.
“What are you trying to do?” Marcus couldn’t help himself but ask her.
“What do you think I am doing?” Elana asked back without looking at him.
“Are you really going to fight with him? After we are done dealing with everything because of your fight with Leila?” Marcus asked her, feeling irritated.
“Who said that I am going to have a match with him?” Elana asked as she gave him a smirk, making Marcus become even more confused.
Marcus wanted to reply to her but Jordan interrupted their talk.
“Since that is what you meant then I don’t have a problem with that. We can have a match anytime you are comfortable with it,” Jordan said as he looked at her.
Elana looked at him and nodded her head then looked at the warriors who were staring at her waiting to know when she wanted to have a match. Of course they were excited to watch a match between a lycan and a werewolf. The strongest lycan warrior vs the strongest werewolf warrior.
At the moment, Doris mindlinked Jordan and informed them that the food was served.
“We need to get back so that you can have meals before the king and the council arrive,” Jordan said as he looked at them, making them nod their heads upon hearing his words.
“You can continue with the practice. I will inform you when the match is scheduled,” Jordan said to the warriors, making them answer with a yes.
Jordan and the others walked out of the chamber and went back to the palace.
“Did you find the warriors practising?” Doris asked her mate when she saw them walking in.
“Yes but there was something they were murmuring about. It was just weird,” Jordan said, making Doris frown as she wondered what was happening.
“Leila,” Aiden called out immediately as he walked in making everyone turn to the direction.
Leila frowned but walked towards her mate cause she knew that he could be petty sometimes and she didn’t have the strength to deal with him.
“What is it?” she asked as she held his head.
“How did everything go? Are you hurt?” he asked anxiously as he started looking for injury making Leila shook her head but had a smile on her face.
“No. I wasn’t hurt.”
“Are you tired? Do you want to rest?” he asked as soon as he heard her reply.
“Yes I am tired but can you first wait before you say another thing? There are a lot of people here and they don’t know what happened and I don’t want them to know,” Leila whispered at Aiden, making him nod his head as he admitted that he had acted without considering anything.
“The council wants to see the four of you. Do you want to eat or meet them first?” he asked.
“I guess that the food can be sent there so that we can eat as we talk to them. Or if it will take a lot of time and make the food to be cold, then we can eat the food quickly and in ten minutes then go and see them,” Elana answered him, making him nod his head.
As they sat down, Leila looked at Aiden then at the omegas who were standing on the side in case anything was required of them.
“Can you ask them to leave? We can serve food on our own and I am not used to eating when people are standing watching me,” she said in a low tone making Aiden smile before dismissing the workers.
Doris left together with Jordan as they had other things to do. Also, they never felt they were qualified to eat on the same table with the king.
Seeing that they were left alone, Leila looked at her family and smiled. She had never thought that things would ever be like that. She wondered whether she would be a good queen just as her mate expects of her. She was not afraid of whether she will be killed and fail in the next battle but whether Aiden will reject her when he realises she was not as good as he thought.
“What are you thinking about?” Aiden asked when he realised that she was not eating.
“Nothing,” she answered but he gave her a questioning look.
“Okay. I was wondering whether we can first finish wiping off the memory of the remaining people instead of going to see the councils. If there is no problem, we can go after we finish that and clean up the mess we left behind,” Leila said as she looked at him waiting for his approval since she knew that he could also make decisions without consulting the council.
“Although they might get angry because of keeping them, I guess that’s a great idea. After all, all they want to ask you is whether you learnt what you were supposed to and whether you can take away the memory. I think they won’t complain if they get to know that you were successful in everything,” Aiden said, making Leila nod her head.
“Good. If that’s the case then why don’t we leave right away?”
