Chapter 75: Chapter 75
Third POV.
When the others saw her running, they followed her immediately afraid that she might disappear from them or something would happen.
“Leila, can you slow down?” Aurora shouted when she wasn’t able to keep up with her speed.
Leila slowed down upon hearing that cause she did not want Aurora to feel left out and she was her mate’s sister and also her new best friend.
“Hurry up,” she shouted as she ran backwards, held Aurora’s hand and dragged her forward.
After some time, they reached and Aurora sighed as she was not used to running at such a speed. She looked at the others as if they were demos but later stopped when she understood the reason.
“Who are you?” an old man asked them from behind when he saw them walking to their home direction.
They halted and looked at the man. They frowned for a bit because they did not know how to explain to him and wondered whether he would even believe them.
“Good afternoon. I am Princess Aurora,” Aurora introduced herself when she saw the other hesitating.
Leila and Elana wondered how they had forgotten that even though they were not known in the kingdom, Aurora was known since she was their princess.
“Princess. I am sorry that I wasn’t able to recognise you,” the old man said as he bowed down to her, making them frown and Aurora hastily helped the old man to stand up.
“You shouldn’t bow down to me. You are an elder while I am just a junior. I am the one who is supposed to pay respect to you, not the other way round,” Aurora said as she was about to bow down, making the old man shake his head and hold her to prevent from doing so.
“No, my princess. It is our custom and we have to follow them,” the old man said before diverting his eyes from Aurora and looking at the others.
His eyes showed a little surprise but later it veined.
“Who are they?” he asked Aurora without looking at her.
“She is Leila, my brother’s mate thus our future queen, next to her is her sister Elana and her mate Marcus,” Aurora answered as she pointed at each of them while doing the introduction.
“My queen,” the old man greeted Leila as he was about to bow down but Leila held him making it impossible for him to do whatever he wanted to do.
“Old man, you shouldn’t do that, although I know you will just say what you have said to Aurora that it is your custom to do that, I am not yet your queen thus you shouldn’t do that all,” Leila as she shook her head making the old man chuckle as he looked at her.
“You all here cause you need something? What is it?” He asked as he understood that something might have happened for the royals to visit them.
“Well, in the morning I came across an old woman and she gave me directions of where I can find her,” Leila answered, making the old man nod his head.
“Yes. I now understood. When she came back from fetching the firewood, she couldn’t stop talking about how you all are kind hearted that you even stopped going where you are going just to help her. We were curious to know who the people were but she just said that she was sure you will come to seek her so soon,” the old man said, making them frown as they couldn’t understand how she knew that they would look for her so soon.
Seeing the frown on their faces, the old man smiled before saying, “she can predict the future even if not everything, she can see a few details of what will happen. Thus that’s how she knew that you will come find her,”
They nodded their heads in understanding while they thought of how beautiful it would have been if they could predict the future.
“Come, follow me,” the old man said as he led them inside the compound.
They walked towards the backyard where they found people seated talking while laughing. Upon hearing footsteps and unfamiliar scent, they turned their heads and looked at the uninvited guests.
“Why can I smell the smell of the Moon Goddess?” an old man seated asked as he sniffed the air making the others look around.
“You are here?” the old woman who the girls had met in the morning asked when she saw them.
“Yes,” they replied as they nodded their heads.
“They are the youngsters I was telling you about but I think some of their friends aren’t here,” the old woman said as she looked at her friends with a smile on her face.
“Just shut up. The moon goddess is here,” another said, making the old woman roll her eyes.
“This is Princess Aurora while the other is our future queen Leila, next to her is her sister and her mate,” the old man who had welcomed the family of three and Aurora said, succeeding in getting the others' attention.
“My queen, my princess,” they said as they all bowed down, making Leila sigh in frustration.
“Please don’t bow to me. Kindly stand up,” she said as she looked at them.
“See, I told you they are all good people. They are all kind hearted just like their parents,” the old woman said happily.
“Tabby, you talk as if you know the queen’s parents but you just know Princess Aurora's parents,” a woman said as she rolled her eyes but the old woman did not get angry.
“You all know them. Leila and her sister Elana are the daughters to Elias and Lyannette,” the old woman who was called Tabby said, shocking the others.
“You! You shouldn’t lie about such a thing. Don’t you know the consequences of claiming that they are the moon Goddess grandchildren while they aren’t?”
Leila and her team remained silent as they continued watching the old people arguing.
“Why should I lie about such a thing? Why don’t you come and sniff the smell on them and tell me whether they don’t have the moon goddess scent or not.”
