Chapter 74: Chapter 74

Third POV.

Leila took Elana’s hand and dragged her towards the old woman’s hut. Even though they did not want to take her back, she had given them directions so that they could go any day they felt like. Leila had a feeling that the old woman had given them the direction cause she knew that they would still go look for her. How? Leila didn’t know and did not tend to keep thinking about that as she had a lot on her mind.

“Where are you dragging her?” Marcus asked in a worried tone, making the girls halt and look at him.

“We are going to the old woman’s hut. Grandma said that the woman would help us learn what she instructed us to do,” Leila explained calmly and patiently since she knew that the others were also curious.

“Which old woman are you talking about?” Amanda asked as she looked at both of them.

“I don’t know her name but we met her in the morning when we were walking around,” Leila said as she looked at Aurora hoping she knew the name so that she could tell them.

“I also don’t know her. Although I am the princess, it is rare for me to take a walk on that side of the palace,” Aurora said after she met with her gaze and knew what Leila was asking her.

“If you both don’t know her then how sure are you that she lives here?” the old King asked with a frown on his face.

“She knows about mom and also claimed that she had once met their mom. She said that in the kingdom, there are a lot of old people who still have the gifts that they were given by the moon Goddess so as to help at the last fight,” Aurora explained, making Elijah nod his head.

“Seems the woman knows a lot about our kingdom. It is true that everyone who is still alive and has fought the great war has the powers. They have different gifts to do different stuff,” Elijah said, making everyone turn their heads to his direction.

“Yes, she said they all live together in harmony,” Elana said.

“Since you already know who your grandmother said will help you then why don’t both of you have some rest? Aren’t you tired from the two fights?” Aiden asked and they shook their heads.

“Even though Amaya and Elaine fought and used our body instead of taking their form, it didn’t make our body tired. Instead, it was energised while for us, we were locked up and watched everything. There was a time I was asleep. I am not tired,” Leila said as she looked at them.

“Whatever she has said is true. Also, we really can waste time as it isn’t on our side. We may never know about tomorrow. Even though grandma has given us till tomorrow, she can’t relax and say that we will go there and be taught tomorrow morning so that we can wipe the memories in the evening. The earlier the better,” Elana said, making Leila nod her head in agreement.

“I also want to go there and talk to the old fellows. It is always a good company when staying with the old. You learn a new thing every time. I am curious about what gifts they have and what they can do with them. I can’t just wait till tomorrow to know those things,”Leila said and they nodded in understanding.

“If you want to go and learn something then do but please don’t tire yourself. I will send both Eric and Jordan to come and guard the place so that nothing unexpected can happen.” Aiden said as he knew that he would not win any argument with Leila since whenever she sets her mind on doing something, no one can change that.

“Can I join the three of you even though I have no gifts and can’t be taught anything, I think it would be fun watching you guys working on your gifts,” Aurora said when she saw Leila and Elana ready to set off.

She was envious of the relationship between the two. Although she keeps saying that she is Leila’s best friend, she knew that it was a lie and the real best friend was her sister. She just hoped that they would also welcome her into the family as they were now related although it was just through marriage.

Leila looked at her and smiled. She later stretched her hand and opened her palm as if inviting Aurora to take her other hand which wasn’t holding her sister.

Seeing that, Aurora grinned, ran towards them and took the hand. The elders smiled upon that and knew that it was a good thing for Aurora to follow them since she could learn something new that she had not been taught in the palace all of those years although she lacked a special gift. Who knows, maybe the Moon Goddess will grant Aurora a gift when she sees how close she is to the girls and how dedicated she is in saving the kingdom.

The elders recalled what their parents had said about how some of the old men got their powers and wished that it could also happen to their kids.

The girls walked hurriedly while jumping up and down, talking and laughing, making Marcus sigh and wish that he was left behind and waited for both Eric and Jordan.

He looked pitiful and someone could confuse him as the girl’s bodyguard instead of their brother and mate but he did not dare voice out what was on his mind cause he was afraid of Elaine. She was always so protective over Elana and Leila even if it was him.

“Marcus, hurry up. We won’t keep on standing on the way as we wait for you to catch up. You are the man here yet you walk like an old man,” Elana said as she mimicked how he was walking.

“There are the huts, I can see them and also some old people,” Leila said as she ran towards that direction.
