Chapter 71: Chapter 71
Third POV.
They all turned around and looked at the person who spoke.
Everyone apart from the family of three and Josiah were not afraid as they had seen her but that was not the case with the others. They were so shocked to see a woman in a white dress and around her there was a beam of light as if protecting her. Even without being told, they knew who she was thus they all kneed down and bowed down to her cause she was their creator and their goddess.
“Moon goddess,” they said, making her look at her.
She nodded in satisfaction as that was what was expected of them.
“May children, you may arise. You all have worked hard to protect your kind and I am very pleased with you,” she said to them, making them stand up but they were too afraid of looking at them.
The moon goddess looked at her grandchildren and sighed. She was used to Leila pretending to be pitiful and running towards her immediately she saw her but looking at Amaya, she knew that nothing like that could even happen.
“You slapped Elana? Well. that’s so pitiful. I understand why they don’t want to talk to you,” Elana’s darkness said, making Amaya nod her head in agreement.
“Have you tried giving her control upon my arrival?” she asked in disbelief as she knew what kind of selfish monsters the darkness were when they got control.
“Why not? I have seen how Amaya gets well with Leila and am envious of their relationship. I yearn for that kind of relationship with Elana. Also, if I continue talking to you, am afraid that we will just argue and I need to give you the respect you deserve not only because you are our grandmother but also I don’t want to sound disrespectful to you in front of your creature,” Elana’s darkness said making moon goddess sigh in relief as she was shocked what happened to Elaine since she is never respectful to anyone.
“Guess you have come into your senses after being dormant for a while,” Moon Goddess said casually but that made her earn a glare from Elaine, Elana’s darkness.
“Well, it is weird how people think you are pure and don’t do evil but aren’t you the one who locked me up even without Elana’s knowledge? You made her believe that her mating with Marcus got rid of me,” Elaine replied, making the Moon Goddess glare at her.
Elaine rolled her eyes before saying,” what? You started it and I had to finish it.”
“I am not here to argue with you. Even though I want to call you stupid or foolish, you seem to have grown a bigger brain and become a little more wise.”
“Thank you your highness for the compliment,” Elaine said as she pretended to bow down and appreciate.
“Guess I should take that back,”” moon goddess said after seeing that reaction.
“What were the both of you thinking when you started fighting here?” she asked angrily.
They all remained silent as they knew that they would still receive the same punishment regardless of what they say to her, it is always their fault if it is Leila’s fault but Elana’s fault when she is at fault. Although she tends to be biased when it comes to the younger sister, Elana never complains as she is the oldest, loves Leila as much as the grandmother loves her and cannot bear to see Leila getting punished.
“I can see that now you have shut your mouth, Elaine! You better not make me more angry than I am,” she said as she looked at them sternly.
‘There it is,’ Elaine said in her mind, making Elana chuckle. They knew that there was a chance for them to escape the punishment if both Elana and Leila took control but they were still mad at their grandmother and opted to take the trouble rather than pretending that everything was fine.
“Grandma, why are you asking when you already know what happened? After all, aren’t you the god of these creatures that you see everything that goes on around here?” Amaya said making Elaine to secretly thump her up as she tried her best not to laugh when she saw the angry look at the white dressed woman.
The moon goddess looked at Amaya and a soft look flashed on her eyes and face but after remembering the mess she caused, she became angry once more
“You! Don’t talk to me submissively as you pretend how obedient you are when you are the one who caused all these,” the moon goddess said as she pointed at her.
“See, I said the truth, you know what always goes on around here. I didn’t lie and I didn't pretend. You told us to talk and I did,” Amaya said back at her, making Elaine giggle.
The others who were present were holding on their breaths as they were afraid of what would happen next when they saw the girls annoying the god. Although they wanted to argue with them and make them humble, they couldn’t as they understood the relationship between the three and it seemed as if she was used to them talking to her in that manner when they are in their darkness form.
“Don’t think I don’t know how to deal with darkness cause I have no darkness in me! I have dealt with your biological grandfather and don’t forget that your mother also had darkness in her,” The moon goddess told the girls but they rolled their eyes.
“You love your precious grandchildren for much and you are afraid that you might do something to us and result in them hating you forever and you don’t want that,” Elaine said, hitting the Moon goddess hard because what she said was true.
She looked at them for a while and wondered what she should do to them. Her eyes then fell on Josiah and Marcus before diverting her gaze and looking at the girls once more.
“You will do as Josiah has said. Both of you plus Marcus should wipe out everyone’s memory about what happened here in the field today.”
