Chapter 64: Chapter 64

Third POV.

Leila walked in the field in a black sportswear, black top and white sneakers. Seeing her everyone had something to say about her. They knew what would be happening and they were very curious whether a werewolf could defeat a lycan. At the same time, they wondered why there was a battle going on and they had heard that their future queen was injured during the ambush and she was recupurating.

“Maybe they are fighting for the queen’s positions. Can’t you all remember that Madeline has been obssessed with that position since she was a kid?” someone said, making the others feel she was right.

Even though they were not familiar with Leila, they all wished that she could win and become their queen since they had lived with Madeline and knew her characters. No one except her father thought she could become a good queen. They knew that if she did, nothing would ever be the same.

They all held their breaths as they prayed that things may go how they want.

Madeline was escorted to the field by the guards. She was still in her previous nightdress. They all started murmuring as they wondered who came to fight wearing that. It seemed she was there to seduce the unmated male wolves instead of fighting.

“Today we are here to witness the battle between our future queen, Leila and our very known warrior Madeline. Most of you think that they will be fighting for the queen’s position but you are mistaken. Madeline will be fighting for her survival. She has been caught with a lot of crimes, Lying to the palace guards and sneaking in. She later sneaked into that king’s floor late at night in that dress,” Matteo who was speaking stopped after hearing the murmurs increase.

“We all know the consequences of sneaking into the palace and the king’s floor. Not only that but also tried to sneak into the king’s bedroom and seduce him trying to cause a drift to the king and the queen. Following these crimes, the councils decided that she and her father who was the mastermind behind him should be banned from our kingdom.”

There was an uproar since they never thought Elder Simon was so greedy even after being given a position by the king. At the same time, they wondered how the council who used to turn a blind eye to everything the father and daughter duo gave them such a heavy punishment.

“Elder Simon pleaded with the council to allow Madeline compete with our future queen. If she wins, they will be allowed to continue living in our land but his position will be taken away from him. They agreed thus that’s why we are here,” he concluded.

The talks got out of hand since the people started shouting that the council was not fair. They had thought that they had come to their senses and punished them but it didn’t seem like that. If they did, then why did they agree to their pleading and ask Leila to fight Madeline even after knowing that Leila was a werewolf while Madeline was a lycan thus they knew Madeline was stronger than Leila. Not only that but Leila was still sick and had not recovered well enough.

“In the arena, on the right, we have our queen, Leila and on the left, we got Madeline. The battle will be starting in five,” Jordan said with a whistle on his hand ready to blew it so as to indicate the beginning of the match.

After five seconds, he blew the whistle.

Madeline was looking at Leila angrily. When she was told that she would be fighting with Leila in the field before everyone, she had thought her father had found excuse and convinced the council and the former to let her be the queen thus she would be fighting for the position but hearing Matteo’s words, she was shocked and knew that her survival depended on whether she fails or wins.

She rushed towards Leila with her hands in a fist as she aimed at Leila’s stomach. Just as she was about to knock her down, not only did Leila dodged it but also attacked her and kicked her right leg right on the knee causing Madeline to scream as she fell down and kneeled.

“Come on, you can’t have all the fun alone and you are stil sick, give me a chance to play,” Amaya said in Leila’s head, making her roll her eyes but she still had her eyes on Madeline.

“You? Hell no. What if you cause destruction?” Leila asked immediately.

“Leila, Amaya is right. Even though we don’t get along and argue most of the time, you should give her a cahnce. After all, isn’t this a good opportunity for her to pratice? You should trust her since you decided that you won’t be getting rid of you,” her wolf said.

“Fuck!” Leila cussed when she saw the speed Madeline was running towards her and what she was aiming at. No matter how skilled she was, she knew that she wouldn't be able to dodge the attack, making her give Amaya control immediately.

“Finish her quickly. I am so tired and hungry,” Leila said before disappearing.

Madeline had seen the panic in Leila’s face thus making her grin as she thought her success had come so quick.

As Madeline jumped high to kick Leila on her forehead, Leila’s body shifted making her fall in an embarassing manner making everyone laugh at her.

“You!” she shouted as she glared at Leila but deep down she was afraid since she wondered how she would win if Leila had escaped one of her powerful kicks.

“I am going to kill you,” Amaya said in a murderous tone, making one shiver.

Leila, Amaya, ran so fast towards Madeline and kicked her on her rght cheek. She then took Madeline by one hand and raised her up. She punched her left cheek then her right and returned it countless times making some people turn their heads since they could bear to continue watching the scene.

She threw Madeline up then jumped high before giving her a powerful kick on the chin making Madeline throw up a lot of blood and fall down.

Not tired of the fight. Leila ran towards with a killing intent.
